I was happy to find out after purchasing for my son for his birthday that he could also play with his 2 brothers who also had DS systems without buying 3 cartridges...they are all Zelda fans after playing BOTW and have since started collecting all the old Zelda titles available on any platform!!!

A very innovative game. Incorporates elements of the Zelda games in groundbreaking ways. You'll be solving puzzles, and "stacking" Link characters to gain new powers and defear bosses. Nice solo game... but most fun co-op with one or two friends.

This Zelda game is fun. The one catch is, it's meant to be a co-op game. There is single player but, it will lose its appeal. So when you get this, make sure you have a group of friends with it.

I enjoy playing this Zelda game; don't get me wrong. It is a little different than other Zelda titles but still is an enjoyable game for hard-core Zelda fans. The three star review has more to do with the limited multiplayer capability. It doesn't really say this on the packaging, but you cannot play with two players. You can either play with one, or three. This doesn't make any sense on nintendos part as how often are you going to be able to get three people to play a game that takes something like 80 hours to finish? Probably not often. I was so excited at the prospects of playing multiplayer with my fiancé, only to discover after purchasing two copies that it isn't possible.

It's a great game like other AC games, everything from the story line to finding the secret coins around the map. I would most def recommend this game for anyone that likes adventure games.

This isn't your traditional zelda game at all. It is a co-op game that switches between puzzle solving and beating monsters. It is relatively linear but there are plenty of levels and when playing with friends, it is plenty fun!

The game's story is quirky, and is kind of dumb in a sense, as compared to other Zelda games. However, the cooperative component of this game more than makes up for it. I personally spent hours upon hours playing this game with my friends, clearing dungeons and cooperating. Would recommend :)

This is a good Zelda for a handheld console. It holds true to all the Zelda games before where you have to use your head to solve the puzzles. Online mode is done real nice to. Its fun either by yourself or online.

All the Zelda games are on my wife's must own list. Bought this one for her and it keeps her busy while I play my games on ps4 . Hehe! Seriously though she loves it and would recommend to any gender or age group

The fact that you need to play with others to fully enjoy the game and play it the way it's intended is somewhat of a turn off. It's fun otherwise. It's not your traditional zelda game tho - not much lore here.

So you either love playing online with others or you don't. Its a side game that plays different from the main series. You don't really try to kill the other guy; you cooperate as a team. I like it, but I can see why its not everyone's cup of tea. I think its worth a shot.

My son has been enjoying the number of 3DS games available. This is able to keep him busy with no complaints. The game appears to be age appropriate and challenging enough that helps keep him entertained.

I didn't do much research before buying the game but I didn't realize it was a multiplayer format with no real story line. I was a little disappointed

It's very much like Four Swords, so if you liked that then this game will no disappoint. I liked it, but would have preferred a new single player adventure to have been released instead.

Overall I was please with this game! My only drawback is that you either play alone or with two other friends, you can't play it with one other friend which is a weird request to make.

So far the game is terrific. I am a bit disappointed in that I have been playing Zelda titles since the beginning, and I do prefer playing alone. But, it is a good adventure-puzzle game.

Pros: It is a Zelda game. Yeah.. I needed a Zelda game to hold me over since the WiiU version was delayed again. That's where the pros stop. Cons: My expectations were low due to poor ratings by other gamers and the game met expectations. 1. I bought the game to play during date night. What I neglected to realize is that you need 3 people to play multiplayer mode. (Epic fail) 2. Single player mode is not as clunky as the reviews made it seem however the mechanics do take a couple of seconds to get use to...and the small single player door in game makes you feel like you are missing out if you play alone. (1 is the loneliest number that you've ever see. 2 can be as bad as one. It's the loneliest number since the number 1.) 3. In the game you have to play levels over and over and over to get the reagents you need to pay for your costumes. I am not the type of person that likes to revisit sections of a video game multiple times. Once I have mastered it, show me something new. (Lazy coding.) Overall, you can skip this game and not miss anything. If you have tons of time on your hands and like playing the same level over and over, buy it. You will find what you seek. Personally, I won't finish the game.
