In all honesty, I was hesitant buying this game due to what people told me. I was told it wasn't a game worthy of being played. Which was completely wrong! I can't believe how much there is to do on this game. The story-line is interesting with intriguing characters. Aside from the main story line there are TONS of side stories/quests as well as exploring the expansive land. You can never get bored, I promise! It's highly addicting and I highly recommend it if you are a RPG fan or looking for a great game to play, this is it!

    Time Sink

This game is thick with plot. I put 15 hours in just running side-missions when I started. I got 40 hours in now. I'm only 3% done. There is always something to kill. If you plan right and mix the correct potions, the kills come easier than had you ignored the advice of the game. You can't change your character but you can customize clothes and hair. This is in essence a movie. 7th son seems to be based on this game. Probably not but it had similar undertones. You're a monster hunter. You occasionally hunt men. Missions can be paced where you can play for a few hours and have a good save point. You fill like you are accomplishing something instead of slugging through. There is a built in mini game that can eat hours of your time. It's kind of similar to a 3 level game of medieval blackjack war. You play cards up front, in the middle, and at the back of the field. You're looking to make the highest points. Sometimes you have to lose the first hand. But you collect the cards and play people throughout the game. You can't just run through all the side missions as the story progresses. There are level restrictions but the beauty of this game is that it won't restrict you from trying. You will fail them but you can pass them if you have a lot of skill. It's a million dollar title and worth every dime you spent on it. It's a buy but make sure you have the time to invest.

Hands Down The Game of this Generation

Dollar for dollar, this is the best deal in console gaming history. An intriguing, complex and overarching story with some of the most fleshed out characters and side quests I've ever experienced, this game even without the DLC comes it at well over 200 hours. I can't really explain how much this game effected me, but be prepared to be lost in the lore, reading the novels and collecting graphic novels and card games for years to come. The combat is fluid and well done. Each area of the map has a real tone and feeling, reflected in characters and storylines. Each of the near dozen main side characters are captivating and well motivated. The only problem I have with the game is the tutorials are not extensive enough and you will be having "Oh, I wish I knew that twenty hours ago" moments throughout your entire playthrough unless you watch a few hours of Youtube tutorials before (gwent took me forever to get the hang of, in particular) Played through Deathmarch twice, and have since gone back to The Witcher 2 to try to get my fix of this world. It's truly something special and with the prices so cheap, you're out of your mind not to try it if you like fantasy and American-style RPGS. This is truly the Game of Thrones videogame we've all been waiting for.

The Best Open-World RPG to Date

This is probably the best open-world RPG I have ever played to date. There are so many opportunities to customize your character and explore the world in whichever way you see fit. The graphics are amazing, the gameplay is amazing, the story is incredible, and the replay value is there. This game is well worth the money as I have put in over 100 hours to grab every achievement.

In additional to having a great leveling system, inventory system, economy, combat, etc...what sets Witcher games apart are the character models and development. This game has a top-tier story, and the characters look great and have their own personalities and motives. Recommended to provide respite from horrible sports teams.

The Witcher 3 is a great game even if you have never played the game before. The story is absolutely great, so do NOT skip any cut scenes. However, do realize the beginning of the game it is harder to gain rank and weapons, but keep progressing and the story will make up for any shortfalls of the game. Wonderful game for Halloween!!!!

The Witcher 3 is just as good as the vast majority of reviewers have claimed. Easily worth the money in a sea of disappointing expensive video games. Because of the size of the story and the world you play in this might be one of the best entertainment deals of the year.

Uh...how is a game this good?

So, I bought this game over 2 years ago on a sale and it was the complete edition. I didn't get to the game to play it until about 6 months ago. It took me coming back to the game a few times to get used to the gameplay and just get the game started as the first few missions and the way that the UI and quest system is set up is a bit confusing for a noob like me. After getting past the first few quests, I was pretty hooked and got through a lot of the game pretty quickly due to being addicted to it. I've never experienced such an adult-themed fantasy game before, or story for that matter. And I can say that it is a welcomed fresh take on fantasy that is pretty amazing. I actually bought the first book in one of the book series because it was so well done. I just beat the main game at level 33 yesterday, and have started one of the expansions. I can say that the multiple ending mechanic works very awesome in this game. I don't want to give much away, so I wont say how that all works, but choices that you make in the game do effect the ending. So, it's petty fantastic when you feel like your decisions matter. Also, the graphics in just 1080P on a 4K HDR TV look fantastic on their own. I don't have an Xbox One X yet, but the game still wowed. All and all, I can see why this got 10/10 from most reviewers. The expansions are actually cooler than the main-game and I'm just starting them. Play this game, you wont regret it...

This game is so much fun to explore and the combat is awesome. I also enjoy how much immersive the dialog is. I actually do not skip the cut scenes. My biggest problem with the game is that it has so much stuff to do I have trouble focusing.

It's everything everyone is saying: amazing open world, compelling story, oodles of customization. It's hard not to appreciate and enjoy it...unless you have things like a full-time job and a life. Sometimes I can barely get through cinematics in my downtime and then it's back to the grind. Know that going in and there's plenty to love.

I previously wrote a PC review of this game, but I purchased this for a second play-through off the XBOX store when it was on sale. I must say the game works incredibly well and the same can be said for the game across all platforms. It works well, is solid on frame rate despite being limited to 30 fps. The draw distance and texturing are very well for the game; the game is beautiful on any platform. Recommended at any price or on any system.

    Best Next-Gen Game to Date

This is easily the best next-gen game to date. It might even be my favorite video game of all time, as I own it for both XBox One and PS4. If you like games in the vein of Skyrim and Dragon Age, then definitely give this one a try. There is easily 100 hours of game play with multiple potential endings, and over a dozen free DLC items available at the moment. A new expansion pack comes out pretty soon, which will create even more hours of fun.
