Not a working disck
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. We bought the Game Pre-owned because it was 19.99 and the game had a huge scratch and the PS4 would not read it. I think i rather just spend the extra 30-40 for a new one and save me the trip to return the used item to the store!

||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. When I purchased this game for my husband the store rep told me that it could be played offline as long as you werent trying to have a multi player game. Not true! You cant play offline at all and it will eat your yearly data allowance!

Glitches and exploits
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Unifinished game with many exploits and glitches. Good loot is way too scarce. You could play for 10 hours and not make any progress. Dark zone had potential but it ended up just being people running at each other with smgs

You NEED ONLINE ACCESS to play the game.
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.**If you haven't looked up reviews of this game on the specialized gaming websites yet, be advised you'll need online access to enjoy this game. There is no offline solo campaign . I was apprehensive on making a purchase at first. Turned out the game is a lot of fun. To sum the game up, It's a not-too-distant future third person shooter with role playing mechanics. Destiny has nearly the same mechanics set in space and obviously a first person shooter. The Division is best enjoyed with a group of people to assist in completing missions or exploring. The standard players vs game enemies (PvE). Then once you get the gameplay mechanics smoothed out you can either explore the Dark Zone (DZ) or run around the huge map completing missions or getting into random PvE skirmishes. The DZ is where the fun occurs. It is a free-for-all player vs player (PvP). It can be explored solo, which is not advised, or with a group of very trusted people. This area of the game is similar to a standoff and will push the boundaries of trust within your gaming group. You gain points and collect contaminated items that cannot be found in the PvE. The fun and also A LOT of frustration begins. Once you collect your loot, you have the ability to call in a support helicopter at a designated pick up zone to pick up contaminated items for "cleaning" and allow to use it in any area of the game. When you call in the helicopter using your flare gun at the pick up zone, the 1 minute and 30 second countdown timer begins. Amongst your group, This is where you learn that in 1 minute and 30 seconds who you can trust and who will backstab you. On top of having to watch your back, the flare also summons those seeking easy pickings and computer controlled enemies. The flare is like a light bulb and the human and computer controlled scavengers are like moths. I likened it to waking up a hornets nest and beginning epic standoffs and showdowns. The player that assisted you on helping get through a few squads of computer controlled enemies a few streets down can now be the guy that punches your ticket and steals your payday. Also be aware if your mic is on while you are running around and you mentioned you have a particular piece of loot out loud, any player within earshot will hear you, pretend to help you out until you summon the support chopper. OR they may be a white hat and help you fight scavengers that are drawing into your location to steal your items. You just never know. This is probably the most fun you'll have in the game. Now for my cons, there is no pause within a mission or a firefight. Ensure you have done your real life responsibilities, Put the kids to bed, get your clothes ready for school or work, kiss the wife good night (throw in a back rub for good measure), take out the trash, feed the dogs, make sure you paid the bills, empty your bladder; because you're not going to want to stop playing. You're going to want to see what the next loot drops will get you and you're going to want to level up as much as you can until you get to that point where you can sleep for a few hours and a few cups of coffee will get you through your work day. Another fallacy is using the mic. If you enjoy going solo, you don't own, or don't like using the mic, you're going to have a difficult time getting through areas where you might want to group up to speed up the leveling. The DZ is an area you will need to talk yourself out of some sticky situations, gain trust with people, or talk smack when you steal their loot or say something with a very colorful vocabulary when someone steals your loot. Have fun and enjoy the game. Overall, I give this game a solid 4.5 stars.

Beta player
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I was highly anticipating this game that when I got my beta code, I instantly went to download it. Logging in to the beta was a bit slow which was kind of expected. The character customization screen was really limited but again it was a beta. So you start off in a makeshift disaster camp, talk to this person, talk to that person routine and then you head out with the missions you received. Once you leave the safe zones is the only time your weapons come out and they are automatic, you cant ever empty your hands. I did a couple missions while exploring the part of the map that was available. Found supplies that had no use in the beta. Finally I stumbled across the base camp that you are shown you can grow in the trailers by completing things. Unfortunately the only one of 3 areas (Medical, Tech, and Defense/Soldier area) that you can expand is medical and once you complete the mission to unlock it, you can only unlock 2 additional parts to the medical. When you unlock the additional parts you gain more skills, again not available in the beta. The beta consisted of 1 mission which is what unlocked the Medical area, which leads me to believe that there is only 3 main missions, and then a few side missions (more obviously in the full). Once you've completed them, those side missions completely go away, no respawn mission times for more supplies... after you complete all you can do in the general player vs player friendly area, you can go into what they call "the dark zone" here you will find tougher enemies but also able to get better gear. The trick to get the gear you pick up is that you have to call in a chopper to take it out as everything is contaminated. Now this takes over 1 minute to extract and if there is a bunch of PvP type players could be nearly impossible to extract for they will be killing you as you try to extract and therefore causing you to drop the picked up gear and dark zone currency. I know on the PC version people were complaining of hackers in the beta, I'm sure that could pass to consoles too. So basically if you've done everything in the player friendly area and there is nothing but people killing other players in the dark zone, this game becomes annoying and pointless. There is no single player to it, just as Tom Clancy's Siege had no single player. I don't know what Ubisoft is thinking going this way, but honestly its the same reason I didn't like Star Wars Battlefront (which had huge potential for me as a Star Wards fan). It had elements to be really good, but fell short for me based on MP required for advanced areas. It does look really good graphically though. Based on the overall map size with the areas beta players couldn't explore and how I saw missions and side missions set up, the overall fun experience would last a few hours, but if you wanted to grind for the best gear, it could take substantially more.

Better than call of duty
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I haven't really like open world or first person shooters call of duty moderan warfare 2 was the last game i played ever since all of them rip off style and game play of it and open world games not knowing what to do can be fusterating for some but with the division you get real feeling you are apart of a war in new york after the world seems to end it reminds me of escape of new york fight or die . The game is good and challenges you to make choices and you can fight with a group or solo . This is online game at all time ps plus is required the game controls are like cod and graphics are realistic and fun is here but if u die or quit u start from the begging of the mission. I like it because it's rpg third person shooter u can earn your abilities and wepons and gear to be the ultimate survivor and soilder . I like that u can make your character look like you . Tom clancy games are always amazing this is the future of war games
