This is definitely one of the best horror games ever. The graphics are top notch and the plot is solid and will keep you guessing. If you like horror, I highly recommend this game as it builds a lot of suspense and there are plenty of jump scares too. My negative is that I wish there was more gameplay "action" but this type of game isn't about that. It is played more like heavy rain or the walking dead telltale game. I think it has more replay value than those 2 games though. I would give Until Dawn a 4.5 out of 5 stars.

I picked up this game after reading a few reviews, seeing the trailer, and getting friend recommendations. This has to be one of my favorite horror games with a lot of replay ability. The choices and chance of character deaths is great. You have a chance to experience the game then go back through and make different choices to try and save everyone. It's a great game and I recommend it to anyone. Best PRO about the game, the voice acting is phenomenal. Do yourself a favor and pic this game up, NOW.

I am a big fan of the Telltale games and that style going back to Monkey Island. This title fits nicely in that genre albeit to a more mature setting and with graphics that look like something right off of the big screen. Don't expect an action based game in line with something like The Last of Us or The Evil Within but an interactive movie that you control. Great story and a few scares round it out as something I enjoyed and found to have some replay value.

Amazing! The production values and atmosphere of this game are top notch, making it one of the best horror games of all time. The story pulls you in with excellent pacing and a few twists along the way. Play it with other people if you're too jumpy, or just to get their input on some of the choices you can make. All of your decisions affect the game in meaningful ways, so it's worth playing through more than once to see how things can change.

Until Dawn isn't merely a love letter to horror films, it's a love letter to horror in general. While it most obviously bares a resemblance to the recent Telltale adventure games or quick-time laden Heavy Rain or Beyond: Two Souls, it also carries a lot of influence from other recent horror games such as Silent Hill: Shattered Memories and from the original Playstation era of games like Resident Evil. You won't just make choices, but explore an environment with ever-shifting camera angles designed to highlight or hide information from view while increasing the tension. Action sequences are intense and moments of calm are punctuated by a relentlessly creepy atmosphere. Sure, most of the "terror" comes out of jump scares, but the writing and acting is top-notch enough that you'll want to prevent the characters from being harmed... well, most of them... okay, some. The cinematic presentation combined with the interactivity afforded in games allows this to also be an excellent title to play with friends around. Try passing the controller between friends to see what happens, how each player approaches situations differently. Screwing up doesn't necessarily mean instant failure, after all, and merely adjusts the outcome of the story. You're not going to get an insightful commentary on the state of horror, be it in games or film, and you're not going to have so many death animations to explore for the characters throughout (choices tend to be minor and remain ripples rather than bursting into waves), but you'll have a good time that will be worth revisiting once in a while. Perhaps as a Halloween tradition?

For fans of interactive cinematic experiences comes an excellent horror game. An interesting game and story. Your choices throughout the game really do make a difference! where people will die regardless, in Until Dawn YOU choose who lives and who dies by the choices you make. I loved the gameplay and the graphics are beautiful. Definitely one of my favorites!

Cool game. Great visuals, great atmosphere and an interesting story.

Like I was legit scared playing this. I mean it IS a scary game but I probably made it worse using the headphone jack on the controller. My husband falls asleep on the couch usually while I'm playing and I wanted to hear the dialogue but the typical horror story loud noises would wake him up. So I grabbed a pair headphones and plugged them in. Let me say that was the best-worst decision I made. Not only did I hear the dialogue better but the ambient sounds "moving" around me really intensified the game. And let me say, there's some really freaky stuff whispered in the background. There is definitely some replay to this game. Dialogue choices, etc. will make some changes throughout. There are also collectibles throughout the game that really help flush out the story that you're not given on screen. I highly recommend finding as many of those as you can.

If you grew up loving campy horror movies and wanted to play one where your outcomes decided the fate of everyone I highly recommend this game. The story, acting and game play are top notch, all the different decisions make the replay-ability insanely high. I would recommend this to anyone!

After reading the reviews, I bought it and must say it was lot's of fun to go through. Hard to describe the game play, it's like being in a movie in a way, but you choose what happens with the characters, and outcomes go in many different directions. Adds to the replay value. Would certainly recommend to experience something unique and fun at the same time.

I have never played a game like this before, but really enjoyed it! The replay value is solid as there are so many different possibilities in your story, and the graphics are phenomenal at some points. Takes about 6 hours or so to play through, but it's a lot of fun if you're looking for something new and different.

Game mechanics is minimal. It's more about the story, which could be boring if not done very well. Thankfully it was done very well. It's beautiful, well written with some twists you won't see coming, and a much longer and replayable game than I expected.

It was nice to play something different than the typical sports and first person shooters! The story was very interactive and well written, as well as the gameplay was similar to Heavy Rain, etc. I got so into the game that I beat it in one weekend.

This is not your typical video game. It is a has a great story where your decisions shape the story and ending. The characters survival is dependent on your choices. Has some good scares. It was an awesome thrill ride and recommend it to all.

If you ever played Heavy Rain for PS3 then you will love this game. The story is great and graphics are really good. Gameplay is simple as you mostly make choices and then have moments of pressing buttons at certain times during cinematics.

If you have loved Heavy Rain or Beyond: Two Souls like me, you will fall in love with this game. The graphics are phenomenal and horror is brilliant. The actual game is not about what you think. The Butterfly Effect is Great!

The most original game I have ever played. Fantastic story with spectacular graphics and easy to use controls. It's pretty much a horror movie, but you get to make the decisions. This game is every horror movie fans dream come true!

It's not much of a video game, but it accomplishes what it sets out to do by being an interactive horror movie with a lot of twists and turns. Your choices will end up changing a lot of big and small events throughout the game and it's neat to see how much some actions or scenes can change upon replaying the game depending on earlier actions. Characters can end up being a little bit more invincible to death than what you might think going in, but it's a neat process since you could end up saving everyone or no one throughout your playthrough. It's definitely a fun time if you understand the kind of game you're getting into.

I'm really enjoying this game so far. Great story, graphics, gameplay. It reminds me of Heavy rain, which was one of my favorite games.
