Great story, characters, and very fun combat. The minigames like karaoke are addicting as well. A good start for new Yakuza players.

The story is gripping and intense, the combat is fun and satisfying, and the side missions are incredibly goofy and entertaining distractions from the main story. Don't hesitate to jump into the series with this game, it is well worth it.

Fun game. Reminds me of the old school beat em ups. There is a ton of stuff to do in this game. Will keep you occupied for a long time.

After having previously played 3,4,5, and Dead Souls this is without a doubt one of the stronger entries. The plot is concise with little filler, the substories are amusing, and the battle system is always enjoyable.

I was absolutely floored by Yakuza 0. Well-rounded and well-written characters, incredible voice acting, superb writing from the Atlus localization team, endlessly entertaining minigames, with tons more I haven't mentioned make Yakuza 0 an essential PS4 purchase. It might not be everyone's cup of tea, and I definitely did not think I would like it, since I typically don't enjoy Japanese media, but this game grabbed me by the throat and wouldn't let go for 40-50 hours. Brilliant game.

Yakuza 0 is another sprawling entry in the open-world series, packed with an extraordinary amount of things to do and centred around a genuinely compelling crime story. Since it’s a prequel, it’s also unburdened by the series’ increasingly intricate backstory and thus far more approachable for newcomers than the last few Yakuza games. While its melee combat may lag slightly behind modern genre standards, Yakuza 0 still hits far more than it misses and is a big, bold and bruising tour through the Japanese underworld.

Game is a lot of fun if you enjoy Japanese culture. The story is interesting and the gameplay is varied so it’s hard to get bored. Highly recommend picking it up if you want something a bit different than most games on shelves today.

its not totally an open world game but its unique in a kind of way... you have tons of aide quests and the story is nice .. the only bad thing is the old conversation style its like playing ps1 reading conversations without voice acting...

If you want a game with fun combat and a really deep story buy this! I give this game 5 stars and it’s a masterpiece imo

What a wonderful mix of gameplay and story. It's like beat'em up and an RPG had a beautiful, funny, serious, and absurd baby.
