The agents successfully reinstalled my HP DeskJet 4155 Plus printer. It had dropped out (offline) for unknown reason (electronic anomaly). Also, this printer requires Smart Phone app for installation. I don't own any such phone! Every printer should be 'plug & play'!!!! The Geek Squad guys were on time, efficient and resolved the problems.

Joshua Dix solved the printer issues and explained what I need to do if the problems occur again.

The Geek Squad at my local Best Buy are awesome! I did not grow up in the computer era so I am at a loss when it comes to computer shopping. When my 10 year old laptop went out the Squad was so very friendly in helping me select a new computer to fit my needs. They never made me feel stupid or inadequate In knowledge. They took their time to explain each step and made me feel that I was making the right purchase. They were able to transfer all items from my old computer to the new unit and I had my new unit ready to go very quickly.

Geek Squad agent figured out a workaround for a problem that Microsoft created. I have MS Office Small Business 2007. MS Word was working fine until the last update. From that point on, I couldn't print most of any documents I was working on including any document that originated from a template. The Workaround isn't efficient and required me to never use a template. So, I went shopping for MS Office Small Business 2010. I refuse to subscribe to MS just to use MS Office occasionally. And, I want control of the app disks...not them. Bottom line is I'm heartily dislike doing anything that's "cloud" based. That's giving too much control to business entities and they know too much of what I'm working on...so no. Anyway, I couldn't buy what I was looking for and settled on something else. Everything works now, but I have to self-train on the software since NONE of the producers of this stuff (including Apple) are decent enough to offer something other than teaser training.

I was very pleased and grateful for the technician who came to my home to install my new printer. He was delayed by a prior appointment and was very good about communicating to me about the delay. Once he arrived, he was kind, knowledgeable, and quick. I am quite certain I would not have been able to do the installation, myself, as efficiently, if at all.

David with Geek Squad set my printer up to work on wi-fi and let me print from the internet to make sure it was working. He found that my communications company had a different password in the system for wi-fi than the one on my modem. I also asked him about scanning documents, and he made sure that function was working and showed me how to scan a document and save it to my computer. He was courteous and answered all of my questions about wi-fi and how it operated. He even called me two days later to make sure everything was functioning the way I expected. This was the first time I have used Geek Squad and it was well worth it.

The agent connected my new copy machine, set it up to the y-fi in my home and explained how I can copy of my I-phone and Apple laptop computer.

The technicians arrived with a poor attitude. When I showed them where the printer was to be installed, one of them asked, "Where is the light?" After indicating that the printer was set up, I asked if they had printed a document. Unsatisfied with the technician's hesitant response, I attempted to print something myself but received an error message indicating that the printer door was open. After an additional 20 minutes, they were finally able to print a document. I then asked if they could take the box that the printer came in. One technician replied, "If we don't bring it in, we don't take it out!" When I explained that previous technicians had removed the packaging, he said, "They weren't supposed to and what were their names?" I responded that their names weren't important. I assumed those technicians were just being nice and accommodating to a senior citizen couple. I reached out to Best Buy to request the names of the technicians and was informed by NaHead that they couldn't provide that information due to privacy reasons. Both technicians were rude and obnoxious, and if we ever need another in-home Geek Squad service, we definitely do not want them here again.

Jonathan arrived at appointed time, set up my new printer with appropriate connections and software, and provided a tutorial for me on its use. He was courteous, patient and had a very friendly manner.
