My property was damaged by Geek Squad
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.The Geek Squad individual scratched and damaged my desk while unboxing the printer. I spent nearly an hour being transferred to various Best Buy departments to make a claim. I was finally transferred to "Claims" and was disconnected. Please have someone contact me at 210-288-3820 or provide the phone number to the outside agency that handles claims.

Printer set up by Geek Squad Agent

Although the setup included printing from my phone, that isn't happening and I have not been able to resolve the issue even though I have gone through the process.

Geek Squad slacking on assistance
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Was told my wireless printer is over ten yrs old so it’s outdated- but it was previously set up wirelessly a year ago and worked so maybe it was difficult of a process and just advised to hook the usb cord into my laptop- what good is having a laptop when I have to walk up to printer so not happy with that. Not happy that I was told not worth troubleshooting my computer a few days before that by a diff employee at Cortlandt Best Buy and then had to buy external hard drive when I’m charged for Microsoft 365 and they should have done the transfer for me- that is why I pay for total tech, no?

No phone call

Super important because I was leaving town in a week. They only emailed, and set a day for me. Which was after I left town. My fault for not seeing the emails, but annoying.

need more help for printer

He got our printer working right and gave many explanations that helped us understand our technical questions. He downloaded and installed a new "driver" (whatever?) to get our printer to behave as it should. Unfortunately, just a day or two after he left the printer was back to it's old inability to print from wi-fi and sometimes not even responding to USB cable input. We would like Justin to come back and see if he can resolve the root problem here. We don't know how to contact him. We lost the phone number for his direct line that he gave us to use if we had any problems.

In Home Visit
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I gave a low score because the tech didn't have to do much I got charged 86.00 to be told that the printer I bought was used and it came with cartridges that were empty I have been calling and sending emails to resolve this problem and all I get is someone will call me I don't think it's fair the way I got treated I'm 72yrs old and I have no car to go in person. Because I was in a severe car wreck and the lady that hit me total my car and I suffered severe injuries. It's not fair that I paid 59.99 for a used printer and what's worse it had used ink cartridges inside. I would like This problem resolve the payment is coming up on 8/15 even though it says would I recommend this geek squad to a friend in a way I wouldn't but it's not there fault I got sold a used printer

Printer still has issues

Printer/price to set up .
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.it was not easy to set up. The Geek squad was going to charge me $125 and the timeframe was from 7 AM to 7 PM which is nuts. So I had my trainer set it up for free, but it took him an hour and a half.

BEWARE of A Geek Squad Phone Hook Up
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I already ready reviewed this, it was not favorable, it appears that you caused me to get hacked when I called the Geek Squad to help me with a computer problem. There was a 6 Hour wait, so I was told they would call me back. I received a call back approximately 2 1/2 hours later. They Identified themselves. as the Geek squad, but evidently they were not and I received no other calls from the Geek Squad later. They had full online access to my computer. Turns out I was hacked. By the time I realized I was hacked and went to your store, no one there wanted to accept any responcibility. I have been given conflicting information. I Have had my computer into the store twice & two visits to my home and it is better, but still not working as before. Your in store solution was to buy a new computer, but if I do, it will no longer work with my printer or scanner, so I must also buy a new printer and scanner. Most of my purchased programs (windows word and office, adobe photo shop 14, Abobe acrobat, will not work with the new computer, so I'll have to buy new ones of those, I'm 77 years old and not real tech savy so spending over a 1,000.00 dollars just to replace what I already have does not make sense to me, nor can I afford it. I feel I followed your rules for calling for help, and now no believes me. So to say I am pleased with your service would be a lie. I spent 38yrs in customer service for a major airline and would have been fired if I treated my customers the way I've been treated. The only outstanding employee I encountered was Jessica Ericson. She knows how to handle a customer, she did not promise me anything, but she made me feel like this was not my fault and that she would do everything in her power to resolve this, Unfortunately I'm guessing she was over ruled. I then found out that I could not get my auto renewal shut off and I no longer want to deal with your store or the Geek squad that got me into this mess in the first place. Jessica called today and said that she would get my auto renewal shut off and was very sorry that she was unable to do more for me. I am sure you will not post this and you did not recieve the first one I wrote, but maybe you only accept and post the ones that praise your service.

Disappointed
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Cannot rate this product because we cancelled our order due to best buys incompetence and lack of correcting their mistakes and resolution of the problem. I ordered new computers, printer and wifi and a date for Geek Squad to install. One representative told me all my products were not in yet and another rep told me they didn't schedule enough time so we had to reschedule. By the way, we found this out two days before we were schedule. I have never spoke with such unprofessional, uninformed customer service representatives. Only to find out that you can't even call the local Best Buy anymore to speak with a manager or anyone in the store. You have to drive there and hope you can get a manager onsite. I was provided an email that a manager would see and get back to me. A manager did call me back but was totally useless in resolving the issue. We ended up buyng directly from HP. I was lied to and totally dismissed by everyone of your staff. Best buy created the problem and I suffered for it. This will most likely not be posted however, I feel as though this is important feedback to upper management to hear and understand what is happening in their place of business and how their clients are being dealt with. With so many more options to purchase my electronics, I doubt I will be going back to Best Buy ever.
