    BEWARE of A Geek Squad Phone Hook Up

    I already ready reviewed this, it was not favorable, it appears that you caused me to get hacked when I called the Geek Squad to help me with a computer problem. There was a 6 Hour wait, so I was told they would call me back. I received a call back approximately 2 1/2 hours later. They Identified themselves. as the Geek squad, but evidently they were not and I received no other calls from the Geek Squad later. They had full online access to my computer. Turns out I was hacked. By the time I realized I was hacked and went to your store, no one there wanted to accept any responcibility. I have been given conflicting information. I Have had my computer into the store twice & two visits to my home and it is better, but still not working as before. Your in store solution was to buy a new computer, but if I do, it will no longer work with my printer or scanner, so I must also buy a new printer and scanner. Most of my purchased programs (windows word and office, adobe photo shop 14, Abobe acrobat, will not work with the new computer, so I'll have to buy new ones of those, I'm 77 years old and not real tech savy so spending over a 1,000.00 dollars just to replace what I already have does not make sense to me, nor can I afford it. I feel I followed your rules for calling for help, and now no believes me. So to say I am pleased with your service would be a lie. I spent 38yrs in customer service for a major airline and would have been fired if I treated my customers the way I've been treated. The only outstanding employee I encountered was Jessica Ericson. She knows how to handle a customer, she did not promise me anything, but she made me feel like this was not my fault and that she would do everything in her power to resolve this, Unfortunately I'm guessing she was over ruled. I then found out that I could not get my auto renewal shut off and I no longer want to deal with your store or the Geek squad that got me into this mess in the first place. Jessica called today and said that she would get my auto renewal shut off and was very sorry that she was unable to do more for me. I am sure you will not post this and you did not recieve the first one I wrote, but maybe you only accept and post the ones that praise your service.

    Each time I interact with the Geek Squad there is an issue, this time I went into the store to set up an appointment and was told, "we can't make an appointment with a specific person. Went I indicated that was not true, the rep then turn to another rep and asked the question and he also said the same thing. However, once the rep got into the system, he realized that oh I can put a specific person in the system per your request. I have been told this every time I try to request the person I want. Reps need to know the system and look into it before they quickly say "we can't book a specific person"

    Had an appointment on the first Monday in june, took the day off and they never showed up or contacted me in any form...I finally got thru to someone main number, and of course she said the stores own geek squad cancelled it. So I had to reschedule and waste another day.

    Rude and Arrogant Reg cost Best Buy my business

    This interaction was one of the worst of my life. The young man, Austin, who called was rude and arrogant and eventually I told him not to come to the house. Why would I trust my home and private information to such a rude individual. This interaction has caused me to question whether or not I will ever purchase anything else from Best Buy. In fact, we just purchased over $10K worth of new Samsung kitchen appliances. Because of Austin, we went to another store in Oklahoma City. Best Buy can thank Austin personally for the loss of this and future revenue. When I scheduled the appointment, in the store and with the Geek Squad Manager, I was led to believe that the representative coming out could handle all of our issues. Austin said that he was only going to connect a printer, which was a 15 minute job and wouldn't do anything else. I told him that I had gone into the store and explained my entire networking issue. He said that wasn't his problem. I guess they think there is no competition for their services. I can tell you that I've contracted with a local company to solve my network and computer needs. The cost is $2K. The Geek Squad and Best Buy can thank Austin for the loss of this additional revenue. I'm currently in the market for a new iMac. Guess where I won't be buying it. That's right, Best Buy. So your arrogant and rude Mr Austin has cost your company about $20K in products and services. I'm also sharing my "terrific" experience with all of my friends. Your representative has cost Best Buy a long and loyal customer.

    Geek Squad installed my HP printer

    The printer worked fine until yesterday, when it stopped printing. I have run multiple troubleshooting exercises to no avail. The computer and the printer are not communicating. I am trying to get a follow up from Geek Squad.

    had geek squad representative here on three occasions for same problem. My charge was $195.00. Three days after third call my printer is not working I had the geek squad service rep. here three times to hook up my printer. I paid $195.00 and it stopped printing after the rep. was here for the third service call. I do not fault Patrick..he tried but after 2 printed copies it still does not print and keeps going into error mode. Please have your service dept. call me to see if something can be done. That is an awful amount of money to pay for no results.

    Returned the Geek Squad service because I was able to set up my Epson printer on my own as opposed to a HP printer that I, as well as a computrr shop owner was unable to set up.

    The representative set up my printer. Explained a few things about the liquid ink installation. He didn’t however, explain how to fill the back paper hopper.

    The technician was only allowed 45 minutes so he did not have time to give me any instructions for my new computer which has windows 10. I am still trying to figure out how to use it properly. I am still having trouble figuring how to print a document with several pages.

    Geek Squad could not install my printer

    The representative could not hook up my printer. I found I had purchased the printer more than 2 weeks prior so I could not return it. I was told to contact HP -that has not been successful either. So I have a printer that will copy but not print. I have a Geek Squad membership I cannot use. I have paid a lot of money to Best Buy with nothing to show for it.

    The Tech, Jeffery came, spent 10 minutes or less and left. We ran two pages through the wireless printer. It seemed to work alright. Then minutes later I tried to print two other documents. The newly connected wireless HP printer would not print. The error message said that the new Mac Pro did not recognize the printer. I called Customer Service to ask if they could fix the issue remotely. They said they could but it would be 70 minutes before they could help me. It has now been 100 minutes of being placed on hold. I've had two bad experiences with the Geek Squad today. I don't believe this is the normal for Geek Squad.
