Needed an extra controller and I do not trust the off brand controllers. Works great

I only really play super smash on my Wii U and this works great. Very comfortable.

The Wii U Pro Controller is one of the best Nintendo made controllers in recent times. Its sleek design makes it comfortable to hold and easy to access buttons. Not only is its design far superior to the classic controller of the original Wii where it's much easier to hold and not as wide, but Nintendo finally made this one connectable to the Wii U's charging port so you no longer play games with a controller attached at the bottom of a Wii Remote, something I always despised and thought was extremely stupid. I only wish Nintendo gave its players options to use this pad in every game on the Wii U. Unfortunately it wasn't usable on a lot of games that should have allowed it, but I don't blame the controller for that. This is a must have for anyone who likes to bypass the motion or tablet controls gimmicks.

I use it more than the one that comes with the system. More comfortable and lighter.

This controller is far easier to play the Wii U games with than a typical Wii controller! We haven't had any problems with it and it has worked perfectly. Actually need to buy a couple more of these because everyone wants to use just this controller!

Great controller - must have for any traditional Nintendo game played on the Wii U. Has the great feel of an Xbox controller but the light weight of a PlayStation controller. The charge on mine lasts for weeks at a time. Highly recommend.

Great handling if you are not used to the Wii remote. Especially for Smash Bros Melee

If you prefer a normal controller over the gamepad this is the one you should get.
