Tough controller, unlike its Joycon brethren, you can tell this is built well and to take a beating. So far, no issues with drift. The battery life is amazing. I am very happy with this.

This is probably the best controller for the Nintendo Switch. The battery life is quite extensive, the controls are seamless, and it is comfortable to hold. Connectivity is fast and simple.

    Amazing Controller

The Switch Pro Controller is an awesome traditional gamepad. I've used many controllers in the past and in terms of comfort, this is up there with the XB1 and PS4. It takes the grip feeling of the PS4 controllers with the button layout of the XB1 controllers. It has definitely made playing Zelda a lot easier (vs the Joy Cons / Joy Con Charging Grip). This controller is a bit pricey (69.99) but it doubles up as a PC controller. Includes the HD rumble, rechargeable battery, and Amiibo functionality.

    Excellent controller for the Switch

This is a great controller for the Switch. It certainly beats the joy con grip by miles in comfort. It also holds a charge for a ridiculous amount of time. The one problem is that I find myself playing the Switch in handheld mode the majority of the time. But anytime I'm not, this is the best controller hands down. And the price is not as outrageous as some would lead you to believe. Just look at the other consoles' expensive controllers (some as high as $150) that they come with less functionality.

I never really liked the joy-cons. I don't have any friends that have Pro controller, so I just assumed it wasn't that good. After being home for the past few weeks and getting more annoyed with the Joy-Cons, I just took a chance and bought this. Honestly I wish I got it sooner, it's much more comfortable to hold. It's really responsive, I haven't noticed any drift at all. Battery lasts a really long time.

I absolutely love this controller. I use it pretty much for everything even over the joycons, etc. I can't compare it to the cheaper ones for this console, but this one is very comfortable, wireless, holds a good charge and the buttons and direction pads feel really nice and natural. My only beef is that it costs 60! Controllers should just not cost this much IMO! But overall its great and I guess im glad I bought one for the extra money. Just can't afford more of them, hehe.

Easily one of the best feeling controllers I’ve ever used. No drift so far despite heavy use, and the battery lasts for several days on a single charge.

I really think if you are going to play Zelda breath of the Wild you are gonna want this guy for the big screen experience. The only problem with it is the high price. Quality is great, charge is 40 hours, nice grip and feel, yet quite light. I just think it is overpriced. It's a must have.

Sure it’s a little more expensive then say a PS4 or Xbox one sometimes, but to me it’s worth it, sure motion controls are good in some games as is the grip for the joy cons, however you sometimes just need precision, but this thing has the shape and feel of an Xbox controller but weight of the PS4 one as it’s rechargeable so yay. I haven’t tested it on every game that’s impossible, but the ones I have work great with it so far.

Very ergonomic and comfortable. So far the battery is still lasting off the first charge and I'm a month in. I do believe this quality product is a must-have for any switch system. The price is a little steep but is worth it if you want something of high quality and Wireless as long as you do you put it to use.

This is an awesome controller, especially for playing games like The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild and Super Smash Bros. Melee. The weight is nice, the battery has great life, and it does feel like it's built well. I would definitely recommend, as a person with large hands, to get this controller, or one like it. The only thing I don't like is Nintendo seems to think accessories need to cost a premium!

Great battery life, USB-C charging eliminates any issues with plugging the cable in correctly, and the quality is high. For me, this controller is right up there in terms of comfort with the Xbox One controller; it might be better, I have to admit I am torn. The feel of the buttons and sticks is much better than the Joy Con, AND it has a nice D-Pad. I would highly recommend this product.

I bought two of these when I got my first switch in 2017. I bought two more when they were on sale for Christmas 2024. The work great, the battery life is excellent and I've never had a problem with drift.

After owning a Nintendo Switch for just over 3 years, I decide to get an additional controller. After doing a lot of research, I found that the Pro controller, although being a bit pricey, was said to be the best controller for the Switch. After only using the joy-cons and the grip to hold them, I can say that the Pro controller is definitely an extremely comfortable controller. The buttons all feel great and responsive. I highly recommend investing in it. Another reason I chose this controller is because it connects easily to my MacBook. It was really easy to pair with my computer and play games with it. Once you figure out how to pair the controller to the computer, and then back to the Switch, it isn't an issue. The controller did come with a usb to usb-c for plugging into the switch, which automatically pairs it. I love the controller, but know that when you get it, you're supposed to charge it fully before using it the first time. A full charge can take 6 hours, of course it will last a long time, but get it charging as soon as you get it home or else you'll have to wait till the next day to try it out!

The pro controller has become my gamepad of choice for the Switch, but is not without problems. First, the positives. The analog sticks feel great and are placed well. They feel more comfortable for me to use than the Joy Con sticks. The same goes for the ABXY and shoulder buttons. As someone with larger hands, this controller is much easier to use than undocked Joy Cons, and its battery life is also a huge plus. However, not every aspect of this controller is great. The d-pad is tricky to use, especially for diagonal inputs, and I also found the plus button difficult to reach, which became a problem for certain games. Finally, the lack of a headphone jack is annoying. Overall, this is my favorite controller to use when my Switch is docked, despite its downsides.

Expensive, but this controller is extremely comfortable, durable, and has an extremely long battery life. And really, it's not any more expensive than other current-gen console controllers.

Should have gotten this controller way earlier instead of cycling through joy cons that drift after about 3 months or normal use. Had this for a couple months , no issues, no drift, comfortable in the hands and larger buttons. Makes playing games like Smash Ultimate way better.

The build quality feels premium, and it’s comfortable enough for hours of gaming. Without a doubt, this is one of the best gaming purchases I’ve ever made!
