I prefer playing my Nintendo Switch in TV mode. This controller works flawlessly. I rate it way higher in build quality than the Xbox controller that came with my Xbox System X but not as high as my PS5 DualSense controller. I've had one of these controllers for over two years now and recently started playing some multiplayer games that needed a second controller. While the new controller holds a charge for a long time, the old one isn't noticeably worse. Rock solid and high quality.

When I bought my switch, I also picked up copies of the new Zelda and Mario Kart 8. I knew I wanted to get another controller and was contemplating either another set of Joycon, or this "Pro" controller. A young Best Buy guy wandered over, saw what I was looking at and what was in my hands, and guessed my dilemma. "I'd advise the Pro controller. If you're playing on your TV, you can't charge the Joycon and play at the same time. And if you're going to be playing Zelda, you'll be playing for hours - the Pro controller will be way more comfortable for long play sessions." I took his advice, and I'm super glad I did. The Pro controller is very comfortable (even in my big hands) and charging while I play is a must.

Although I still think the MSRP on this controller is absolutely nuts, if I look past that price tag, the controller feels great. The buttons and sticks feel great, it sits well in the hand, and it has motion control for games like Splatoon 2. My only complaint is that the d-pad is terrible, sometimes registering inputs incorrectly (you can read more about this issue online), but aside from that, one of my favorite controllers.

This controller has worked me well, having an amazing battery life, being responsive, comfortable and everything youd expect from a well made controller, one minor issue I have, and it's does not happen extremely commonly, is that flicking any if the two analog sticks quickly (like if you are trying to turn your character in a certain direction with a flick) is that when the analog stick returns to the centre, it surpasses the dead zone which can be bothersome for some but really not a big problem for myself, but still dont expect this from a licensed product. Still a wonderful controller and highly reccomend

Though this controller is pretty pricey, I got to admit it’s pretty great. I’m familiar with the feel of it bc I own an Xbox. Wireless is much needed and works perfectly.

Great Improvement on the Wii-U Pro Controller.

I liked the Wii-U Pro controller alot, I'm sorry but I have never been a fan of the Wii/Wii-u remote controller and nunchuck set up. This controller is an improvement on the Wii-U Pro Controller. They are set up identically but the switch controller has heavier and more comfortable feel (I don't know if it is ACTUALLY heavier, it just feels more solid to me). The mat finish helps a lot as it is not as slippery as the Wii-u one on marathon sessions. I got two of these for Christmas for the family. We have only had to charge one once. I have not noticed any latency issues, distance is good and it has never dropped a connection. Pairing is easier than ever. This is a definite buy for the casual or serious gamer.

This is a very comfortable Xbox-style controller. Has a pretty good battery life and pretty good weight to it. Could be a bit cheaper, but Nintendo stuff typically weighs on the pricier side

I've been using this controller for a year now and have found it to work really well. It has a great weight and feel too it. Unfortunately I do know that it has a drift issue but it has not occured for me yet. I do believe the controller itself is a wee bit over priced, especially when you compare it to the pricing of the Dualshock 4 and Xbox One controller.

I spent months thinking oh ill just keep using the joycons they work fine. Wasnt going to spend the money as im just a very casual gamer. Boy was i wrong. Its changed alot. It has made alot of games easier and way more convenient of no drift. No lag issues. If your a casual gamer who has thought no im good. Go for it.

    Best Controller for Nintendo Switch.

This is definitely the premiere controller for Nintendo Switch. It is a solid game pad in every respect. It has a nice, sturdy build and feels very comfortable in your hands. All the typical controls are there - similar to PlayStation or XBOX. This is about as good as it gets for the Switch. The only slight negative is the price. These pro controllers typically run about $10 more than what you'd pay for a PlayStation or XBOX controller, but that's only a small criticism.

Such a comfortable controller with an amazing battery life. The only downside to it would be the d-pad but it's not too bad for most games.

Like many of you, I got the Switch to play Zelda. I became really frustrated with the stock controller, maybe it was just my unit but I kept clicking the left stick in accidentally while playing. So as I'm strafing around a guardian trying to fight it.......all of a sudden the stick would click in and I'd start crouching and trying to do stealth during the middle of a sword fight. It was very annoying. So as soon as best buy had more of these in stock i ordered one and it's been fantastic. Only time I've gone back to the stock controller was for 4 player mario kart. Controller feels fantastic, the weight, the positioning of everything, battery lasts for ever. Pleased with it. Wish it weren't so expensive.

I haven't messed with the controller for very long, but first impressions are good. The controller has a similar layout to an Xbox controller, but the size of a ps4 controller, so it feels and looks nice. It's also comfortable feeling, which is good. The only minor drawbacks, in my opinion, are the lights for the controller. The lights which show that it's connected and the player number are on the bottom of the controller, so unless you actually turn it over to look at the lights, you won't know it's on and connected. It's also fairly expensive, but it does have a number of features to back that price up. HD rumble, wireless, gyroscope, etc etc.

Ordered this controller exclusively to play Zelda Tears of Kingdom. The controller is smaller compared to a Playstation 5 controller. But it is very comfortable for long gaming sessions. The battery is great, rarely have to charge the controller which makes sense since the vibrations are weak compared to other console controllers. Would recommend!
