The pro-controller is a must have and one I use all the time at the house. It's just really comfortable to use when you are playing for hours at a time.

The smaller joycon may have range problems, if you need to be far away from the system this controller is your best option. The biggest con is the price

This is not only the best controller for Switch, it’s just a great controller period. The ergonomics, the button presses, the quality of the thumb sticks… You just can’t do better! Also the fact that it has HD rumble is a big selling point for me. If you spend time playing your Switch in docked mode, you owe it to yourself to have this controller!

Nothing too fancy, but it is a nice well built controller. I prefer it over the Switch controller, though they're not bad when used with the handles.
