Although it’s a bit on the expensive side, this controller looks and feels great, especially for those with gigantic hands. It’s also very convenient for playing 8-player Smash since it only counts as a single Bluetooth device on the Switch’s limited 8-device connection (a pair of Joycons count as 2). My only gripe is that the handle material seems to trap sweat coming off your hands, which may sound great at first, but it really isn’t since it will leave your controllers feeling somewhat oily after a long gaming session. Overall, it’s not a bad deal if you Price Match. For those on a tighter budget or simply don’t care too much about the build quality, I recommend Power A’s alternative pro controllers — $50 for wireless or $25 for wired (it comes with a generous 10 ft detachable cable). The only thing missing from Power A’s controllers is rumble, which isn’t the end of the world for some people.

When I’m playing on the TV, especially single player games, I prefer this 100% over the Joy Cons. Must have.

This is a solid controller. It's not the best but it gets the job done and is more comfortable than the stock switch controller. My ranking: Xbox elite series 2, dual sense, Xbox one controller, switch pro controller.

I bought a Nintendo Switch a few months back, and it quickly became my console of choice over my PS4. However, playing for long periods of time with the joy-con and controller grip was causing my hands to cramp, so I looked into buying a dedicated controller for it. I considered the cheaper, wired controller options, but they lacked a lot of the features of this Pro Controller, like HD rumble and wireless play.. Ultimately, the premium price is worth it for this premium product.
