A quick disclaimer before I make my comments: I am not a professional gamer, nor will I ever be one. I have played console games for the last 20 years, though, and I have some opinions on how a controller ought to work. My primary controllers have been Xbox controllers - original Xbox, 360, and One. I have had a PS2 in the past as well. I far prefer the Xbox controller layout over the DualShock layout, so I was happy to see that this Nintendo controller is similar. The build of the controller itself is decent. It feels solid in the hand, although doesn't have the same ergonomic comfort that either Xbox or DualShock offers. Pretty much all controllers have the same set of buttons these days, so again, the Nintendo controller fares well. What is a bit of a bummer is that the sticks feel a little long, but - oddly - they also don't feel very sensitive, so setting up a game takes some trial and error. I haven't had a game that didn't require some twiddling. The Xbox sticks are tighter, which I prefer. In fact, that was a gripe I had about the DualShock sticks - they are looser than I like. However, DualShock sticks seem more sensitive, so the Nintendo sticks are a bit hard to get used to. I either seem to swing around in a way that makes me dizzy or lope around in a way that gets me hit in the back. Neither is a great feeling, which is why some twiddling is required. The buttons are adequate. They have slightly sharp edges, so they are easy to find, although I think if I played a major button-masher, I might get annoyed with them after a while. All of the buttons feel as if they'd last a while, however. Also solid, like the whole controller. I bought this controller because I tried to play Skyrim with the standard controllers in the holder that came with the Switch. That was a pretty awful setup - the sticks there are really small, but still not very sensitive, and I had a difficult time feeling competent. With the Pro Controller, Skyrim is far more enjoyable, and I've mostly gotten used to the sticks. At times, I still think the sensitivity is a little weird, like when playing Zelda. But as an upgrade over the tiny controllers, I can certainly recommend the Pro Controller. Overall, I'm happy that I have this controller. It is better than the dual controllers (for games that support it), and it feels solid. With some tweaking, the controller works well enough, although I would certainly wish that I didn't have to tweak at all.

Second controller for the second kid. Works well, keeps the peace. Get it.

Great controller and smaller than some other controllers I have bought

Must have for the gamer in the house. Fits great in my hands and lasts for hours on a single charge.

This might be the best gaming controller available for any system. A must purchase for the switch.
