    Great Controller

Feels great and comfortable in the hands. 40 hour battery life is awesome. Much better feel to it than the regular joy cons. The only negative thing about it is the price. $70 is a bit too much. This should be a $50.00 controller. But other than that, it's great.

Best controller Nintendo has ever made

I bought the Nintendo Switch a month ago now and I have to say this controller is absolute money when you use it to play the new Zelda game. It reminds me a lot of the Xbox controller which I like due to the design itself. The best part about the controller is that I can get up to 70 hours without having to charge it. Very long battery life compared to the dualshock 4. The only downside I can think of is that is a little pricey at $70 but I was willing to pay the extra $10 from the PS4 and Xbox One controllers to get this for my Switch. If you get a Switch, you have to get this; it will make your gaming experience in TV mode much much better.

You need this if you play a lot and have big hands

I played 100 hours of Breath of the Wild with just the joycon controller grip which does the job but I had a $25 BB gift card and read how much more comfortable the Pro Controller was if you have bigger hands like I do so I went ahead and bought it and it's much more enjoyable now. It is $10 too expensive but I doubt Nintendo lowers the price anytime soon I recommend it if you play a lot of single player games because I have put in another 115 hours of Zelda and it's just more comfortable with this controller.

One of the best controllers ever.

The weight, battery life and build quality put the Nintendo Switch Pro controller leagues above competition, although I do really like the Xbox One controller (but not including a rechargeable battery is really dumb). The Switch Pro controller however, has rechargeable battery for days. The buttons and joysticks have a great feel and ease of use, also including USB-C is just a great idea, really glad Nintendo is moving from some of their proprietary mistakes of the past.

This is a PRO controller but the switch games I play don't really require it. The battery life is awesome, the comfortable level is great and it looks cool all black. Highly recommend it to fully enjoy playing the games.

I picked this up at launch and expected to use it mostly when the Switch was docked, but the controller is so good that I'm often using it while putting the Switch into the kickstand mode as well. The controller is very comfortable to hold, it's solidly built, and it lasts a long, long time on a single charge. Excellent controller overall.

Great Traditional Controller for Nintendo Switch

    Posted .

This controller is downright great. The build materials are quality, it's got heft to it, and the buttons are responsive. This controller, in my opinion, only comes second to the Xbox One controller in terms of comfort in the feel of one's hand. It's perfect for games that require precise button timings or better laid out controls compared to the joy-cons in controller form. Further, these fit more naturally in the hands of a young person or an adult with larger hands. The controller comes equipped with motion controls just like the joy-cons which works just as well. The controller charges via a USB-C to USB-A cable that is included, connecting directly to the Nintendo Switch dock. The only downside to this controller is the steep price, especially compared to the PS4 or Xbox One controllers. While it's definitely worth the price, I would recommend preferably buying under $60. Regardless, you won't regret this purchase if you own a Nintendo Switch.

A great accessory to the Nintendo Switch

I received this as a Christmas gift. This controller feels more natural in my hands than the Joy-con controller grip that came with the Nintendo Switch. Has a long battery life (haven't pushed it to its claimed 40 hours of game play), nice weight to it and now I have an extra controller.

Great but with one easily overlooked problem.

The Switch Pro Controller is great. When I bought my switch, I bought an SD card and Mario Kart 8 with it. My problem is that I'm paralyzed partially on my right side from birth, the joy cons kind of worked but I have to use one hand for gaming, for Mario kart I only pressed accelerate and I was fine until I got the controller. Now that I have the controller I use it for everything and give joy con to friends. Pricey? Yes. Great for Spastic Cerebral Palsy (and probably other disabilities too) ? yes. The issue I had was being forced to buy it due to my disability. Once I saved up money from my job I had at the time, I rushed out and bought it, I had to, to be able to play other games not just Mario Kart. The controller is great for disabilities but I just wish Nintendo had it for cheaper as to make it more accessible to the disabled community.

The BEST controller for the Switch!!

I've had a Switch for a few years now. I refuse to play ANY game using Joycons (unless I'm traveling). The Pro controller is great! Comfortable, it feels full in the hand and feels MUCH more durable than the Joycons! I'm purchasing a 2nd one now since other player have mentioned the same thing about the Joycons.

This controller is a must have for anyone who has hands larger than that of a child's. The controller feels very similar to the PS4/Xbox One controller. I am able to play on this controller longer than with the Joy Cons with minimal fatigue.

Truly a superb controller. The best way to play Switch games in TV mode. Great ergonomics, 40 hour battery, gyro, HD rumble, excellent sticks and buttons. It even works on PC's as well. Note, it does not have analog triggers or a headphone jack.

    Nothing Else comes close!!

There is no reason to consider any other controller for your switch. This is the one. The wired graphic enhanced PDP controllers are not wireless, have no amiibo support, no rumble motors and have no Gyro motion sensors. You will need nose of these features to play BOTW and Mario Odyssey and other popular games. Take that $25 and put it toward the Pro Controller! It feels amazing, holds up great, has a ridiculous long battery charge capacity (40+ hours) and amazing hi def vibration and a real D Pad. There is no other way to play if you use your Switch for TV play. It isn’t very useable in table top mode really buy I guess it would work fine for that too. What are you waiting for!! This is a great price and a must have accessory for all Switch owners.

Much more comfortable than the Joy-Cons, especially if you have bigger hands. Also, you won't have to worry about drift, which is a definite plus.
