Good controller. Wish it was cheaper. Feels good in hand

Hey nintendo! Drop the amiibo NFC from this device. If we have the switch then we have the amiibo support in the other controllers that came with the console. No reason to add items that would make this more expensive. Novel idea, release a non-pro version that has no amiibo, no HD rumble, no motion. Same controller at half the price. We really just want to control the game and use our normal adult sized hands. Thanks.

This is a great controller and feels great. I recommend it for longer gaming sessions.

I purchased this when I ordered Super Mario Odyssey because my original Grey Joy-cons suffer from the notorious connection interference. This controller is absolutely amazing! It charges over the included USB-C cable that can be connected to one of the two front facing USB ports on the switch dock or any other USB that powers the device according to the specifications. It stays charged for a really long time especially compared to the PS4 controllers. I haven't quite expereienced the claimed "40 hour lifespan" that is advertised on the box but it is well over 30+ hours. If you prefer a traditional gamepad as opposed to the joycons I couldn't recommend this enough. It supports amiibo and features motion controls that can still be used in a range of games. Wonderful product!

Works great. I have larger hands, so this is perfect compared to the joycons. The only issue is any button press makes the controller search for the Switch when it's off, so if you put it in a case, accidental bumps could drain the battery life over time.

great little controller, and the service at Best Buy was very good, considering it was Christmas weekend. All together it was a good experience.

Best controller for the Switch. Got it as a gift and the recipient loves it as her gameplay has been improved significantly. Totally recommend for anyone who needs more of a standard styled controller for those fighting and strategy games.

Very comfortable when using for an extended period of time

This beats the joycons out the water, dont get me wrong the joycons do their job but with this controller your movements wont feel janky

With games like Zelda and Mario Kart, this controller is a must-have. I was not a fan of the Wii U Pro Controller at all, which was partially due to its glossy black surface, which made it feel sticky and gross. This controller on the other hand feels better in my hands and is matte black, so it does not feel sticky while playing.

Anyone with adult hands needs pro controller switch joycons are too small

In my personal opinion, in docked, or tabletop, it's a great addition. If you love the Xbox controllers, you'll probably love this one more, or the same. I love it the most, it charges by USB Type C, comes with a cable in the box, or you can charge it with what you charge your Switch with.

this is a very well built controller worth getting

Feels perfect in hands. Very ergonomic. Nice texture and weight. Buttons feel good to press. Motion controls and amiibo reader inside. I got mine a day after the Switch and I have to say it wasn't until then that the Switch felt like a successful hybrid console. Essential for home TV setup.
