For the Nintendo switch, joy cons are somewhat difficult to use if you're a more serious gamer. This pro controller feels more appropriate in that regards. At the time its one of the few controllers that can be recharged and used wirelessly. Most use batteries or have a physical cable that has to be connected to the console. Currently there is no comparison for the switch. Highly recommended.

Got this to play super smash bros and its fantastic, good quality and has rumble. A little on the pricy side.

I had primarily been playing games using the joy cons and grip, but decided to "upgrade" to the pro controller when it went on sale for $10 off. The pro controller feels great. It reminded me of the current Xbox controller. Good size and weight as well. The buttons are responsive and the vibration is strong. Although, not as strong as the joy cons, surprisingly. Compared to the joy cons, the pro's analog sticks offered superior control. That being said, I felt that the price does not justify the purchase. I think it would have been a better investment to stick with the joy cons and spent the money on a new game. I would not recommend this controller at full price. However, if the joy cons and grip controller feel to small, go for the pro when it is on sale.

I love this controller. Having said that, I'd recommend the protection plan for it because (1) it's pretty reasonable and (2) these controllers do tend to "drift" after a while. Nintendo will fix the problem, of course, but that involves shipping and waiting. With the protection plan, I can just walk in and trade for a new controller. The controller itself is everything you'd want it to be. I use mine all the time.

If you play your switch at all at home this is the preferred method, comfortable and battery life to last a whole game

I feel this is the best controller on the market for the switch. It will “wake” and “sleep” the Nintendo Switch in the dock so u don’t have to power it on and off yourself. Has the best battery life compared to any generic controller. Will usually outlast the generic by double the amount of battery life. And it’s response time is awesome while playing so very little lag issues.

I finally gave in and purchased one of these, and the first thing that comes to mind is I wish I would have bought one sooner. The price was off-putting for a long time, but it was absolutely worth it. The battery life is astounding and the construction is solid. The buttons provide a good feel when pressed. I can't recommend this enough if you're looking for a Switch controller

Nintendo pro controller works well. Never had any issues with any of my 3 pro controllers over the years.

The pro wireless controller feels incredibly smooth in my hands. Charge holds for hours and feels perfectly natural to use.

Nintendo makes quality products including wireless controllers going back to the Gamecube Wavebird, but these Nintendo Switch controllers are just way too expensive.

I am a big fan of Nintendo's Pro Controllers and personally wouldn't consider purchasing a console without purchasing these as well. Using the Pro Controller makes playing games so much more enjoyable, especially for long gaming sessions. I prefer the Wii U Pro Controller to the Switch Pro Controller, but the controller is still good enough to justify the purchase. I think it is a bit overpriced, so I would recommend waiting to see if you can find a deal on them (maybe Black Friday).

Over the joycons using a good size and quality controller really makes a different in game play.
