The smaller controllers on the Switch are good but this type of controller is much better. Do yourself a favor and get one of these, the whole experience is much better. Battery life is long and the feel of it is certainly good.

This controller works well, but is not cheap. Controllers should not cost more than games. But it works way better than using the numchucks. We had a similar controller start to move/drift. Hopefully this doesn't start doing that.

Without a doubt, this is the best controller to use for the Nintendo Switch. I’ve been enjoying playing games using the Pro Controller.

At first $70 may seem pricey, but there's plenty of value here. All of the necessary features of the Joy-con are present; HD Rumble, an NFC reader, and gyro controls. But the Pro Controller also boasts a battery life that can't be matched, clocking in at 40 hours. Its also the perfect controller build. It's thick but not too bulky, the face buttons are nice and big and along with the shoulder buttons and triggers, have a really soft click to them that feel just right.

Feels comfortable in my big hands. Great battery life. Home button is recessed for minimal accidental presses.

I bought this controller as a replacement for the flimsy joy cons that stopped working. My goodness, the difference is night and day. This is a true gaming controller with way better buttons, grip, and reaction to what you are playing. Of course, the joy con has the benefit of having 2 controllers in 1, but if you are a true gamer, and enjoy the quality of playing games, you need the pro controller for your Switch.

This controller is very comfortable on the hands. It’s a bit pricey, but it’s great for Smash Bros.

I'm only a casual gamer, but comparing this controller to the 'included' Joy-controllers... is no contest. I've been using it for several months, mostly playing Zelda... and it fits in my hands nicely, the controls are nicely arranges... it's an all around great controller. It's a little pricy, but it's worth it.

Love this controller, great feel, great weight. As a plus, it was pretty much plug in play for PC as well to.

While its rather pricey when compared to other controllers for the PS4 or the xbox, it is nice to have a more comfortable and traditional controller for the switch that you can plug and play rather than constantly connect reconnect for the joy cons.

Honestly changes the entire nintendo switch experience. If you’re a huge gamer and want to see the switch as a serious living room console, this is the way to go. The controls are extremely smooth and the build quality feels like i can drop it a hundred times and it would still work the way I bought it. Very happy with my purchase!

After playing several different games on my switch I am soooo glad I bought one of these controllers!! Though the joy-cons are nice and work great for some games, I have gotten so used to a "normal" style controller that this pro controller was a must (definitely for Mario Kart and for Smash)! I would highly recommend it to those who may be struggling a little bit with the Joy-cons and are used to either an Xbox or PS controller.

Bought this after completing Legend of Zelda: BoTW. After running a new game in master mode, the difference in the feel of the game using the Pro controller felt amazing. My hands didn’t cramp up or it wasn’t so frustrating taking out those Lyonels. It is a great accessory to have with your Nintendo Switch. Get it if you can!
