Hands down the best option
||Posted . Owned for 2 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I now understand why people all say that if you are willing to spend the extra it is worth it. Great feel, weight, quality versus all the aftermarket controls. We have tried several different aftermarket controllers and it would have saved us $$ to just start with this one.

Must have for Switch users
||Posted . Owned for 4 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Great battery life, it feels great to handle and is comfortable over long gaming sessions. Not very heavy, nor is it cheap feeling. Its just right. Definitely recommend if you have a switch and play it in TV mode or just not handheld. I have not tried it on iOS or PC or anything.

Feels Right in Your Hands!
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I figured I'd be happy with the stock Joy Con controllers in the handle. My hands are smaller than most gamers, so it was relatively comfortable for me to use them, until I tried to play Mario Kart with my brother with the individual Joy Cons... Even my smaller hands aren't tiny enough to work them comfortably, and they aren't evenly matched since the buttons are sort of off kilter as a pair. I needed a second controller if I wanted to play properly with someone else. Enter this beauty! The Pro Controller instantly has a great feel right out of the box, with a nice sure weight that comes from its rumble pack and internal battery. It works great if you have problems using the smaller Joy Con controller in its handle accessory. The controller charges relatively quick, and pairing is easy with the console once you've plugged the charge cable into the Switch base at least once. My only beef with it is unless you have a special case that has room for a pro controller, its a pain in the butt to transport/travel with. Anything that touches any button or joy stick will activate it and kill the battery in it. I don't plan on traveling with it much, so for a home controller, it works perfect! Love it!

Must-Need for any real Switch player
||Posted . Owned for 3 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. If you're serious about your Switch gameplay - whether it's Smashing your foes, Karting by your friends, or trying to nail that sick combo in Tony Hawk - the Pro controller is theeeee controller you need. Don't mess with 3rd party knock-offs. There's a reason this bad boy is priced SLIGHTLY higher. I'm an avid gamer, I have a gaming PC, PS4 and use a Series X controller for my PC, so I have all kinds of controllers in my house. The Pro controller stands tall with my Xbox and PS4 controllers. My only complaint is purely aesthetic - I wish they would make these controllers in different colors not just black. It makes finding YOUR controller in a collection of Pros a bit tricky if you don't have them labelled or marked. Otherwise, you need this controller if you're serious about gaming on your Switch at all.

Nice, comfortable, expensive!
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. My son bought this, but I've used it too. It's a bit more comfortable than the joy-con controller handles that come with the Switch. It's a little wider than the included one, so feels more comfortable. The buttons and toggles are positioned well; although, I often hit the snapshot button when meaning to press the minus button. The biggest downfall, to me, is the price. I don't own any of the newer PlayStation or Xbox consoles, so I can't compare the price of their controllers to this one, but $70 is an awful lot to spend on a Nintendo controller. I know one thing, with the Switch, Nintendo is perfecting the art of its users needing to buy a plethora of accessories. Controllers, joy-con chargers, additional joy-cons for larger families, etc. etc. I'll give this controller one thing, though, it has excellent battery life. Nintendo says 40 hours. I can't be sure it's that much, but my son (and myself) used it for quite a long time before needing its first charge (after its initial out-of-box charge). If wireless isn't a must-have, you can save yourself $40 and get one of the wired controllers that are almost identical to this one, if not exactly the same. They have a 10 ft. cord, so it should be enough for most people.

Pro Wireless Controller for the Nintendo Switch
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The Nintendo Switch Pro Controller is a game-changer for anyone seeking a premium gaming experience on the Switch. Its ergonomic design fits perfectly in the hands, making long sessions of Super Mario Odyssey or The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild comfortable and immersive. The controller’s build quality is rock-solid, with responsive analog sticks, a stellar D-pad, and satisfyingly clicky buttons that enhance precision in fast-paced games like Super Smash Bros. Ultimate. The 40-hour battery life is phenomenal, outlasting many competitors, and the USB-C charging is convenient for quick top-ups. Features like HD Rumble, motion controls, and Amiibo NFC support add depth, seamlessly integrating with the Switch’s ecosystem. Wireless connectivity is flawless, whether in docked or tabletop mode, and the controller’s sleek, understated design feels both modern and durable. While it’s a bit pricier, the Pro Controller’s comfort, reliability, and feature set make it an essential upgrade over Joy-Cons for serious gamers. Highly recommended for elevating your Switch adventures

Pricey but worth it for those who play for hours.
||Posted . Owned for 2 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. Its good, works and feels great compared to using the joycons with the block. For big hands its basically a must. It has gyro support and easily syncs with the switch. The battery life is great lasted for me a full day of use possibly 2 days. The downside is its pretty expensive... get it while on sale so the sting isnt as bad. Overall i like it, its nice to have more firm joysticks, a bigger controller for my hands, and just something that can take the beatings of extended gametime.

Simply Amazing Controller
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I bought 4 of these at launch in anticipation of not finding the joycons very comfortable, and so we'd have enough controllers to go around during a mario kart 8 deluxe launch party. Overall, it's a great controller. It feels great in my hands, has incredible battery life, an extremely comfortable button and analog stick layout, and has a very good d-pad. Charging is through a usb c connector, which is amazing. I can't wait until type c takes over micro usb as the default connector for devices. Micro usb is very prone to damage and loose connections. USB C is very durable, and in addition, can be inserted either way. No more fumbling in the dark to plug something in to charge. :-) The d-pad can be a bit imprecise if you're the type who "slides" directions rather than pressing them. This hasn't bothered me personally, but there is a fix; just search for "switch pro controller tape fix".

A Must Have Controller for the Switch
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I love this controller. It feels like a lighter version of the Xbox One controller. I've been playing Zelda with this the whole time and it still feels crisp and comfortable. In my opinion, if you plan on playing Mario Kart, Splatoon 2, Super Smash Bros (if ever comes out for the Switch) then this is a must buy. The buttons do feel a bit "squishy" and I'm actually coming directly from the PS4 Dualshock controller. The triggers are nice and the sticks, for being standard, have a nice grip to them. I think they could be a bit taller but so far I can still move with precise aim. The Pro Controller also comes with all the same quirks the Joy Cons come with... and a 40 hour battery life, which actually lives up to 40 hours. It also charges incredibly fast with the USB - USB-C cable it comes with. Nice touch. If you can find one, DON'T pass on this. If there's one accessory you're going to buy, BUY THIS ONE.

Excellent controller!
||Posted . Owned for 4 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I'm use to the Xbox and Playstation controllers, and while the Switch has the peripheral to mimic those two, it didn't quite feel right. Getting this controller was definitely a good decision. Battery life is awesome (haven't tested it, but there are times where I'll realize it's been a while since I last charged it), no lag, and honestly just feels a lot better to use than the Joycons.

Great controller
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. As a general rule, I don't refer to accessories as "must-have" - and if you play mostly in handheld mode or party games in docked mode, maybe this isn't. But if you spend much time at all playing single player/online games, buy this now. The controller size and quality are excellent, and the battery will last a full week at minimum, even if you game pretty much constantly.

The one to get for most people
||Posted . Owned for 4 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I've had a lot of controllers and this still rates among the most comfortable I've held. This is a perfect upgrade for your Switch if you're looking to stop your hand from cramping on the non-ergonomic Joy-Cons. It has HD rumble, NFC, gyro, and seamless compatibility with the Switch. It can pair with other devices like your computer, phone, tablet, etc., but this device is best when paired with one device that you're going to consistently use it for and that device is likely your Switch. If you're looking for extra gimmicks like back buttons, turbo, multi-device switching, button remapping, etc., you're probably going to want something else. I have my share of controllers and peripherals from 8bitdo, Playstation, Xbox, Nyxi, and the Pro Controller is the only one I want to use when I play Switch on my TV. If you want simple and premium, the Pro Controller is the way to go.

Worth every penny
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This is one of the best controllers I ever had, feels good holding in your hands. Strong and lightweight, battery life lasts long. My wife has arthritis in her wrist and hands and she's able to use this controller without pain. Definitely recommend.

Expensive Yet Worth the Money
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Yes, this controller is more expensive than the standard controllers of the systems from Sony and Microsoft. It is less than half the cost of the Xbox Elite Controller (which this is not as good as, but should not be compared due to the price difference). The battery life is very long (I have used it every time I dock my Switch, and have not had to charge it since the day it came out). It is comfortable in my large-ish hands, and is much more comfortable than the Joy-Con Grip for longer gaming sessions. I would advise people to try the Joy-Con Grip (included with the Switch system) before purchasing this controller because the Joy-Con Grip is honestly not bad. However, for those (like me) that want to keep the Joy-Cons connected to their Switch system at all times, regardless of being docked or on-the-go, the Switch Pro Controller is a must.

Best controller ever!!!
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I'm deeming the Nintendo Switch pro controller the best controller ever. I have played with almost all console controllers: N64, PS 1-4, Xbox 360, Gamecube, Wii, Wii U game pad and pro. I thought the PS dualshock series couldn't be beat, and I'm extremely fond of the gamecube controller, but this one beats them all. It's extremely comfortable and well balanced. All the buttons are placed just right and easy to use. I could go on, but I don't think people will doubt the quality of the controller at this point. I know the price is the problem with most people. Well I agree that $70 is expensive, but I also believe that you get what you pay for. If you enjoy playing with a traditional controller and you play quite a bit on your Switch, I strongly suggest purchasing at least one of these pro's. You won't regret it.

Major upgrade from the joycons.
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Lightweight and efficient. Having the larger buttons is a major upgrade over using the joycon holder. At first, the left joystick had a sticking issue, but Best Buy made return and replacement effortless. If not for that, I'd have knocked a star off. So far it holds a charge just fine - just pop it back on the charger when done playing. I play pretty long sessions and haven't had issues with it going dead yet. It's been a month so far and the quality hasn't changed. They seem to be fairly priced even if they are a bit expensive in general - they are comparable to the wireless controllers for other major gaming systems.

Nintendo Switch Pro Controller Review
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Very durable, very comfortable, good weight. Only issue with it is it doesn’t have the most precise d-pad but I don’t play 2D games with the d-pad anyway. As well as, over time and with a good amount of use the left stick will accumulate gunk which most likely causes the stick to drift if enough of it is built up. But as long as you are thorough enough in your cleaning you should be good for another week at least, which isn’t ideal, but I don’t mind it. When I say value is average I’m saying that compared to other companies first party controllers there is no additional value compared to the price you have to spend.

Comfortable and Durable!
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. If you are constantly using the nintendo switch, this controller is a must-have. This controller is by far the most comfortable controller for a nintendo switch. All of the buttons are sturdy and feel high quality, and the overall grip on the controller is super comfortable. This controller also has an excellent battery life, I am hardly ever concerned with whether or not its charged or needs to be charged. This controller is comfortable for large and small hands, so don't worry if your hand is a little bit larger or smaller than average, this controller will work great. If you can overlook or afford the $70 price tag, this controller is a MUST!

Best controller for nintendo switch
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This controller is my favorite. It is durable, even if it falls from, like, 5 feet in the air onto a carpet. It has a good grip. Good for people who don't use the Joy-Cons much.
