I know its a little pricey but this is one fine controller for the Switch. Perfect balance, perfect size and weight, perfect stick and button placement and feel and it has a ridiculously long play time of up to 40hrs. Also supports HD rumble, motion and Amiibo scanning........if you want a great traditional dual stick for your Switch...this is it.

I bought two of these when I got my first switch in 2017. I bought two more when they were on sale for Christmas 2024. The work great, the battery life is excellent and I've never had a problem with drift.

I've had my switch for almost two years. Ever since purchasing this controller and using it for my switch I've logged more playtime on the Switch in the past two weeks than I have all year in total. This controller is THE TRUTH. Yes, I know the price is steep believe me. I live very comfortably and make very good money and still I was hesitant on this purchase. It took one of my friends to finally convince me to purchase this controller and sure enough he was right (He only plays PC and Switch). This controller is a game changer. If you can stomach the cost then you will be more than happy with this controller. Literally changes the switch in an awesome way! Plus, now my big hands don't hurt when I'm getting my Switch on for literal hours on end at times. This controller + Pokemon Unite Ranked. GG2EZ WORTH IT!

If you can get this controller on sale, it is a definite must have for every switch owner. Aside from the mediocre D-pad, this controller is packed with features no third party controller can compare to (NFC, HD Rumble, wireless, etc). This is also probably one of the most comfortable controllers I’ve ever used.

I was worried that Nintendo wouldn't put much thought or effort into the design since they don't want to make traditional controllers any more, even though every other controller today is just a modified Super NES controller. It's much more comfortable than the joy-con in the comfort grip. As much as I love and support Nintendo's innovation, sometimes it's just nice to use a more traditional controller, particularly when playing a game that has no need for unconventional control schemes. It's easier to pick this up and start playing in docked mode than to detach the joy-con from the Switch and put them in the comfort grip. This allows you to leave the joy-con attached, so they'll always be charged up if you want to play undocked or need a second controller for multiplayer. The texture on the handle grips is a nice touch. It's great having a real D-pad. The only downside is that this thing hardly goes on sale. Retail price is ridiculous as with all other pricing for Switch related accessories. I found this for twenty bucks off and piled on a reward certificate and gift card to bring the price way down.

    Good controller for 3d games

I ended up buying one of these after my joycons succumbed to stick drift, which didn't exactly fill me with confidence in regards Nintendo's current quality standards, but I'll say after almost a month of use I've come to like it quite a bit. Personally I wasn't too fond of the toy-like quality of the joycons so having a solid traditional controller feels much better for the majority of games I play. It's shaped very ergonomically and the sticks and buttons all feel sufficiently responsive and satisfying to use. I also really like the clear plastic on the front of it, adds a lot of charm. There is one major flaw though, the dpad. Compared to the rest of the controller it not only feels cheap, but has a tendency to return the wrong inputs that you weren't intending to press. This makes 2d games that require a lot of precision, like Tetris 99 for example, far more difficult than they would be otherwise. Personally I already owned an 8bitdo M30 controller for 2d gaming on my Switch so this wasn't an issue for me, but if you're expecting a versatile controller that works well for both 2d and 3d games, this is definitely not it. Otherwise if you're looking for a better way to play Mario Odyssey, Astral Chain, Breath of the Wild and the like, this won't disappoint.

This controller is great if you have bigger hands and the normal switch controllers are just a little too small for you! So far no drift or any other issues with it. It is a little pricy but if you can snag it during a sale it is definitely worth it.

this controller is great and I would say a must buy for a switch. I never had any drift issues with it and the battery is a beast. It lasts for ever. I'm not a heavy gamer and I probably charged this thing just 3 or 4 times in a year span of owning it.

While the price is a little higher than competitors' controllers, the Switch Pro Controller has a lot of tech inside, including an NFC reader and motion controls. It feels comfortable in your hands and is much better suited for extended play than the system's included Joy-Cons. Has a very good battery life of around 40 hrs.

This is perfect. I was using this JoyCons that come with the switch but when I play for extended periods those JoyCons feel small and uncomfortable. This is very comfortable to use the grips are good the button sizes are perfect and battery life is good

Nintendo is famous for always making the best controller option well....their controller option. 3rd party nintendo controllers just never quite felt as good since the super nintendo days. This is worth the buy also because there are also a lot of adapters for say using an xbox or ps4 controller given fancy bluetooth nowadays...but then you have to worry about firmware updates and pairing and button options...you get my point. I own a pc, xbox, ps4 and a switch. I would say more comfortable than both the dualshock 4 but not as comfortable as an xbox elite controller. Connection is consistent, buttons are crisp, joystick are smooth with a good range of motion and although i have those kontrol freek caps on my ps4 and xbox controllers i don't think I'll need them for this switch pro controller as the joysticks are a great texture out of the box. motion controls are awesome too. and the battery truly is somewhere around 30ish hours or more...i have not had to recharge it yet in over a month.

Great sturdy wireless controller for the Nintendo Switch. This is very comfortable to use and the charge seems to last a long time. We usually plug it in at the end of the day and let it charge overnight or until the next time it's needed. This is much easier than using the switch controllers that I always thought felt too delicate to use for too long. Those can now stay attached to the switch in the dock for when you need to take the switch away with you. After purchasing this controller the switch controllers have not been off of the switch. Recommend buying this for anyone needing a controller that seems to be built to last. I don't think kids could break this one as easy as the delicate feeling switch controllers attached to the console. It is a bit over priced I think but all Nintendo stuff is.

I wish there were more color options but I have no complaints about this controller. The buttons are sturdy, I LOVE that it's wireless, and the battery lasts for a long time. I've played several hours of sessions without having to charge it.

Great joystick in terms of the fell and grip. Its a bit expensive compared to others, but I'll pay the extra $$, instead of using batteries. This joysticks comes with a rechargeable battery. My son loves it and the charge last for at least 8 hours. J

I love this controller. Works wonderfully. I was a little unsure because of the price but it is worth it. I did quite a bit of research and I suggest if you are on the fence of getting this (the real deal, The Name Brand) or getting some off brand, Go This Route. If you buy some cheap no brand stuff from Amazon, high chance you will regret it later. You will probably end up buying another one to the point that it would add up to the price of this one, which will last for a long time unless you deliberately break it. If you are concerned about the price go for an open box or use a trustworthy brand. I also own an Afterglow pro NS controller which works really good. One other thing is that these controllers are a lot nicer and easier to work with (whilst in TV or Tabletop mode) than the Joy-Cons.

Great controller. Battery life is amazing, after about 24 hours of gameplay I wondered what the charge was at and it wasn't below 50%. The grips feel very nice and it is very comfortable to hold in my hands. The sticks also allow for better aiming than the joy-cons, in games where aiming is crucial.

The controller is a bit more expensive than I would have liked but if you’re a TV gamer and aren’t using the switch as a portable then it’s a must-have accessory. The Pro controller doesn’t exhibit any of the lag or connectivity issues of the normal controllers and is much more natural to hold.
