Must have if you play docked
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The Pro Controller has proven itself to be far more comfortable than the joy-con grip for long play sessions while docked. I couldn't imagine using the joy-con for the hours on end I have played with the pro controller. It holds a charge well and recharges quickly - I have only run into low battery once. Form feels nice, controller is light-weight but solid, and it is aesthetically pleasing. Also having a more traditional controller has helped ease friends who are not comfortable with the joy-con into local multiplayer. The only real knock is the price - it feels awfully expensive at retail. But if you frequently play the Switch docked and can catch this at any sort of discount, I cannot recommend enough.

Good controller with some small complaints
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I will say I preferred the shape of the Wii U Pro Controller over the Switch Pro Controller—it just felt more molded to my hands. That said, the Wii U Pro Controller felt too light and cheap to me. The Switch Pro Controller, by contrast, has a great weight to it—enough mass to not have the problem the Wii U Pro Controller had, but not heavy by any measure. The full-size buttons, analog sticks, and triggers all feel great to me and make up for some of the top complaints about the Joy-Cons/Joy-Con Grip. Battery life has not been an issue for me—I have forgotten to plug the controller in many nights, and I have still not had it die while playing, which makes me feel better about the lack of removable/replaceable batteries. Finally, the grippy texture in the plastic on the handles just feels really nice. My top complaint, apart from the shape not feeling quite as nice as the Wii U Pro Controller, is the price. I recognize the controller contains an accelerometer, gyro, NFC reader/writer, etc. on top of the basics, but $70 per controller feels pretty steep when you can get an Xbox One or Wii U pro controller for $50 (and Wii Remotes were $40). My other complaint is the d-pad. It is decent, but I find it really easy to accidentally hit [up] when moving from [left] to [right] or vice versa, which has gotten really annoying in Puyo Puyo Tetris or Breath Of The Wild. I had no such issues with the Wii U GamePad or Pro Controller (or the Xbox One Controller). This might not be a deal-breaker for you, but it might be worth getting your hands on one before you buy if you are particular about d-pads.

Authentic Switch Pro Controller is worth the money
||Posted . Owned for 2 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Buy the authentic pro controller, don't make my mistake. This is hands down the best quality and holds up. I waited a month or so to write the review, for comparison purposes. We bought 2 cheap ones on Amazon to have for the holiday and multi player games and they were awful (joycon drift and charging both). Went and spent the money for the real one and it's hands down worth it. No problems with drift, it stays charged for days and feels great in my hand. You get what you pay for.

Excellent First-Party Controller
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. As you'd expect from a first-party controller, this device works perfectly. It's got a decent weight to it and good overall size. Buttons are nice and solid and the joysticks are super sensitive and accurate. Battery life is great, able to last for several hours or even days of gameplay. I love that it uses a USB Type-C connector, since I can use my new phone's charger to charge the controller, although it doesn't support any sort of "Fast Charge" and will still take an hour or two to recharge the battery.

Favorite controller
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I've played with the Joy Cons, they are fine, a bit small maybe for my hands. Out of every system, from NES to now, I find the Pro controller for Swtich to be perfect for what I'm looking for in a modern gaming device. Very comfy, quality made, long battery life, pretty cool style that you can see through a little, and there is a neat easter egg in the right analog stick that thanks all gamers essentially. It has gyro /motion controls and the price is a little high but not too crazy compared to others.

Perfect complementary controller
||Posted . Owned for 4 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Excellent comfort, grip, responsiveness. A high quality Nintendo product. I personally prefer this way more than the native nun chucks, which I found too small and hurt my hands. The similarity of this controller to other consoles (e.g., Xbox, PS) allows for easy transition for other gamers. Battery life and range of the wireless are very good, never have an issue as we regularly recharge it at night

Comfortable and Responsive Controller
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This wireless controller works great with the Nintendo Switch. It feels comfortable in hand, connects easily, and has responsive buttons for smooth gameplay. Battery life is solid, and it’s a great alternative to standard Joy-Cons for longer gaming sessions. Excellent value for the price.

Great controller for your switch
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. As with many official 1st party controllers this is a little pricey, but it really is a top notch controller. It feels much better in the hands than the joy cons, has a finer touch in the joy sticks, and I’ve never experienced drift with it. The only downside vs the joy cons is how you can turn joy cons sideways to create two controllers for most games. This will only ever be a single controller.

Best Controller on the Market
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I bought this controller because I needed a larger controller with better motion controlls compared to the joycons. It is the most comfortable controller I've ever held, the grips offer stability for my hand, and the motion controls are precise. I very much would recommend this controller to anyone looking, if they're willing to pay the steep price.

Great Build-Quality and Accuracy
||Posted . Owned for 4 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I bought this controller mainly to play Mario Kart and Animal Crossing while my Switch is docked. PROS: Great Quality. Sleek Design. Comfortable to Hold for Extensive Periods. Good Weight and Feel. Easy to Connect to a Switch. CONS: Relatively Expensive for a Controller. Possibility of Thumbstick Drift (can be sent to Nintendo and repaired for free)

Hands down the best option
||Posted . Owned for 2 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I now understand why people all say that if you are willing to spend the extra it is worth it. Great feel, weight, quality versus all the aftermarket controls. We have tried several different aftermarket controllers and it would have saved us $$ to just start with this one.

Must have for Switch users
||Posted . Owned for 4 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Great battery life, it feels great to handle and is comfortable over long gaming sessions. Not very heavy, nor is it cheap feeling. Its just right. Definitely recommend if you have a switch and play it in TV mode or just not handheld. I have not tried it on iOS or PC or anything.

Feels Right in Your Hands!
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I figured I'd be happy with the stock Joy Con controllers in the handle. My hands are smaller than most gamers, so it was relatively comfortable for me to use them, until I tried to play Mario Kart with my brother with the individual Joy Cons... Even my smaller hands aren't tiny enough to work them comfortably, and they aren't evenly matched since the buttons are sort of off kilter as a pair. I needed a second controller if I wanted to play properly with someone else. Enter this beauty! The Pro Controller instantly has a great feel right out of the box, with a nice sure weight that comes from its rumble pack and internal battery. It works great if you have problems using the smaller Joy Con controller in its handle accessory. The controller charges relatively quick, and pairing is easy with the console once you've plugged the charge cable into the Switch base at least once. My only beef with it is unless you have a special case that has room for a pro controller, its a pain in the butt to transport/travel with. Anything that touches any button or joy stick will activate it and kill the battery in it. I don't plan on traveling with it much, so for a home controller, it works perfect! Love it!

Nice, comfortable, expensive!
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. My son bought this, but I've used it too. It's a bit more comfortable than the joy-con controller handles that come with the Switch. It's a little wider than the included one, so feels more comfortable. The buttons and toggles are positioned well; although, I often hit the snapshot button when meaning to press the minus button. The biggest downfall, to me, is the price. I don't own any of the newer PlayStation or Xbox consoles, so I can't compare the price of their controllers to this one, but $70 is an awful lot to spend on a Nintendo controller. I know one thing, with the Switch, Nintendo is perfecting the art of its users needing to buy a plethora of accessories. Controllers, joy-con chargers, additional joy-cons for larger families, etc. etc. I'll give this controller one thing, though, it has excellent battery life. Nintendo says 40 hours. I can't be sure it's that much, but my son (and myself) used it for quite a long time before needing its first charge (after its initial out-of-box charge). If wireless isn't a must-have, you can save yourself $40 and get one of the wired controllers that are almost identical to this one, if not exactly the same. They have a 10 ft. cord, so it should be enough for most people.

Must-Need for any real Switch player
||Posted . Owned for 3 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. If you're serious about your Switch gameplay - whether it's Smashing your foes, Karting by your friends, or trying to nail that sick combo in Tony Hawk - the Pro controller is theeeee controller you need. Don't mess with 3rd party knock-offs. There's a reason this bad boy is priced SLIGHTLY higher. I'm an avid gamer, I have a gaming PC, PS4 and use a Series X controller for my PC, so I have all kinds of controllers in my house. The Pro controller stands tall with my Xbox and PS4 controllers. My only complaint is purely aesthetic - I wish they would make these controllers in different colors not just black. It makes finding YOUR controller in a collection of Pros a bit tricky if you don't have them labelled or marked. Otherwise, you need this controller if you're serious about gaming on your Switch at all.

Pricey but worth it for those who play for hours.
||Posted . Owned for 2 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. Its good, works and feels great compared to using the joycons with the block. For big hands its basically a must. It has gyro support and easily syncs with the switch. The battery life is great lasted for me a full day of use possibly 2 days. The downside is its pretty expensive... get it while on sale so the sting isnt as bad. Overall i like it, its nice to have more firm joysticks, a bigger controller for my hands, and just something that can take the beatings of extended gametime.

Perfect controller
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Got this for my switch a few months back, was using a off brand controller for the longest time but would hurt my hands after a while, this one is more comfortable to hold and lasts quite a while on a charge

Simply Amazing Controller
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I bought 4 of these at launch in anticipation of not finding the joycons very comfortable, and so we'd have enough controllers to go around during a mario kart 8 deluxe launch party. Overall, it's a great controller. It feels great in my hands, has incredible battery life, an extremely comfortable button and analog stick layout, and has a very good d-pad. Charging is through a usb c connector, which is amazing. I can't wait until type c takes over micro usb as the default connector for devices. Micro usb is very prone to damage and loose connections. USB C is very durable, and in addition, can be inserted either way. No more fumbling in the dark to plug something in to charge. :-) The d-pad can be a bit imprecise if you're the type who "slides" directions rather than pressing them. This hasn't bothered me personally, but there is a fix; just search for "switch pro controller tape fix".

A Must Have Controller for the Switch
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I love this controller. It feels like a lighter version of the Xbox One controller. I've been playing Zelda with this the whole time and it still feels crisp and comfortable. In my opinion, if you plan on playing Mario Kart, Splatoon 2, Super Smash Bros (if ever comes out for the Switch) then this is a must buy. The buttons do feel a bit "squishy" and I'm actually coming directly from the PS4 Dualshock controller. The triggers are nice and the sticks, for being standard, have a nice grip to them. I think they could be a bit taller but so far I can still move with precise aim. The Pro Controller also comes with all the same quirks the Joy Cons come with... and a 40 hour battery life, which actually lives up to 40 hours. It also charges incredibly fast with the USB - USB-C cable it comes with. Nice touch. If you can find one, DON'T pass on this. If there's one accessory you're going to buy, BUY THIS ONE.
