These controllers are just necessary if you plan to play this dock mode. Wish they were cheaper but they are excellent quality nothing else touches it.

Better than using the ones that come with the switch. Feels more like an xbox controller. Would be nice if it had a port to plug in a headset. Rarely goes on sale and is quite pircey.

As an adult playing the switch my hands are too big for the single joy-con controller. This feels right when playing. Long lasting charge.

Nintendo really knocked it out of the park with the Switch's "Pro Wireless Controller." Featuring a design layout similar to the "Xbox 360 Wireless Controller," the Pro offers a nice ergonomic shape to it that seriously extends one's gaming time they may not otherwise experience with the Switch's "Joy-Con (L/R) Wireless Controllers." There's a certain quality feel to the Pro: it's heavy, the firm buttons & D-pad make it satisfying to press, the triggers are spongy & responsive, & the large analog sticks have the best grip material. If you're tired of the "Joy-Con Drift" I suggest you purchase this, since I haven't experienced, or came across anyone who had, that issue here. --If an upgraded analog stick isn't enough to sell you, then the Pro Controller's HD Rumble will, which has made playing most of the Nintendo titles an immersive experience. Just make it easier on yourself & pick this controller up sooner than later, you'll be happy you did. Cheers!

Love this controlled. My fingertips no longer get sore after a longer gaming period. Was concerned about drift, but did some online research. Once I calibrated the unit, the drift was resolved.

This is absolutely the best controller I’ve used for Switch. I tried a much less expensive one and it worked fine but didn’t have that good “feel” of this one. It’s responsive, has motion controls, and comfortable.

The Switch Pro Controller is a great alternative to the Joy-cons for anyone looking for a one-piece console controller, especially for online competitive games. It feels better and more natural than the connected Joy-cons, which makes for a more pleasurable gaming experience if you're participating in a Splatfest for a while.

I have large hands. The joycons aren't terrible to hold but aren't ideal for gaming. The pro controller feels much more comfortable. I am reminded of the XBOX controller in terms of bulk. Buttons and sticks are easy to reach. I like the additional capture button under the -

    Best Switch controller

This controller is the best controller you can buy for the switch because it has rechargeable batteries already inside. Other controllers are cheaper but after you get them you will most likely need to purchase the battery pack seperately. So why not buy this controller that has everything you would ever need for the Switch.

This controller feels a lot better than the joy cons. I would say that I have tested out the Power A grips and for 20 bucks it is not that far off from comfortability over the pro controller. All I can say is if you want your typical console controller feel do yourself a favor and get this item.

The Nintendo Pro Controller speaks for itself at this point I think. Some games are just better to play on a controller rather than the Joy Cons. A little pricey, but it's Nintendo brand so it's to be expected. Battery life is good and function is great.
