Must have item for Mario Kart 8 Deluxe

I'm probably in the minority as I despise playing Mario Kart with the joy cons due to the hand strain. This is an essential item - very comfortable, sturdy, and easy to configure for use. Still don't understand why it's so expensive TBH but it's Nintendo...

I love the pro controller. What I don't like is the stick drift. It happens now and then

Not a big fan of using the joysticks to play non-party switch games. This is a great controller to use instead! It feels nice and very durable

If there was something good about the switch is this controller the switch itself for me is very uncomfortable wether it’s laying down sitting just don’t like it but this pro controller just felt amazing best purchase ever for the switch

Arrived on time and in great condition. Definitely the best feeling promcontroller I've held. Also way more comfortable to hold than the joy con controller.

A Must for Nintendo Switch Gamer!

This controller is a must for a Nintendo Switch gamer. I bought it for Breath of the Wild after the Joy-Con controller’s analog sticks kept sticking, apparently a very common issue. This pro controller solved that problem and has handled many hours of gameplay from multiple users in my household with no issues.

The joy cons that come with the switch are fine for mobile gaming but if you plan on playing on a tv you need this controller. A bit pricey but worth it in the end.

Overall great controller but a deeply flawed D-pad

Having been a big fan of the Wii U Pro controller and also worried about the ergonomics of the Switch's included Joy-Con controllers, buying the Switch Pro controller was a must for me. I was pleased to find that it was even more ergonomic and comfortable than the Wii U Pro controller, especially the shape and materials used for the portion that is cradled in the palms of your hand. The analog sticks and trigger buttons both feel great, although the lack of analog triggers is missed. Battery life is excellent, rated at 40 hours -- half that of the Wii U Pro controller, which did not have to devote battery life to new features such as force feedback (HD Rumble,) an NFC reader, and a gyroscope. I only need to recharge it once a week, if that, and that's definitely acceptable. I do have a few qualms with the Switch Pro controller, one of which is a serious design flaw that really hampers my enjoyment of the product. The negligible problem is with the face buttons -- they're just kind of "there;" ugly, boring buttons with sharp edges that stick out a millimeter or two more than they need to. It'd be nice if the edges were flush with the controller when pressed. The serious design flaw is with the D-pad (directional pad.) I frequently get erroneous inputs from it due to its design, despite being on my third refurbished controller from Nintendo. The D-pad is able to be easily rocked up and down via the left and right directions, meaning I get plenty of unintended "up" inputs while pushing left or right. This ranges from inconvenient (choosing runes in Zelda, aiming in Metal Slug, using magic in Shovel Knight) to game-breaking (unintended hard drops in Puyo Puyo Tetris.) It baffles me that Nintendo, the inventor and patent holder of the D-pad, managed to get it so wrong on this controller. It's frustrating to have to avoid using this expensive controller in any game that benefits from using the D-pad over the analog stick. I can't help but laugh that the D-pad was one of the major selling points for me, yet the face-buttons-imitating-D-pad Joy-Con implementation works so much better. If having a D-pad is your top reason for purchasing, be wary. Other than that, it's a pretty solid controller.

One of the most comfortable controllers I've ever held, and the buttons feel good to press. It connects to the Switch via Bluetooth and is even able to sync to my windows 10 laptop. Very nice controller, however there are a few things I don't like about it. It lacks analog triggers, something that has become important in games, especially driving games. Also the buttons and analog sticks are very loud. Love the clearish black color, something Nintendo did a lot back in the 90s. Wish the controller had more color varients.

This controller is very comfortable and I would highly suggest buying if you're going to play titles which will have you seated in front of your TV for hours such as Zelda. The only thing "wrong" with it is the rumble feedback isn't as pronounced as it is in Xbox and PS controllers. Otherwise, this is a great-fitting controller!

No longer being tied down while playing docked or getting carpel tunnel from using the side controllers is great! Connection is flawless with no discernible latency. Worth the investment just to save ypur qrists from the doctor and their bills!

This feels a lot like a PS4/XBOX controller. Battery life is very good -- I probably got 20 hrs on a charge. Makes game play a lot more natural. Way better than the tiny controller that comes with the Switch. It's a bit pricey, but it makes game play more fun for games like Zelda.

Great controller! The charger doesn’t work though. Luckily you can just plug the controller into any switch charger because they are the same chord but I will be returning this product for a different one that comes with a charger that works since a portion of the price covers a working charger. I wouldn’t let this stop you from buying this though, Best Buy has an amazing protection plan for situations just like this! The controller is still worth buying especially if you have a switch lite and want the experience of using a controller :)

The remote is way better than the remote the switch cimes with. This system is so much fun for the family so the extra controllers are definitely necessary.

The controller has worked like expected. I have not had any issues with the battery life, although I am not a serious gamer. I read reviews that the cheaper ones were not as sturdy. This controller is definitely sturdy, but is a little more pricey compared to others.

Love how it feels in my hands... fills them out better than the joycons but i wish if anything it was a bit bigger... im used to the xbox elite controller feel... wide and heavy. This is a little more slender and a little more light. Buttons feel great and the dpad's a little squishy but i suppose it does the job.
