If you’re like me, I was researching controllers and was torn between this one and the one with programmable buttons on the bottom (enhanced controller). I ultimately chose this one for the rechargeable battery, haptic feedback/rumble, and NFC support (the enhanced controller doesn’t have these features). After using this one for a few months I love it and couldn’t imagine playing games with the little joy-cons like I used to. At roughly the same price as most Switch games, I’d recommend trying to find it on sale, but I think it’s worth the hefty price.

    Switch Pro Controller Review

If you don't like the joycons, then the pro controller is the thing to get. The build quality is very solid, and this has an excellent battery life (at least compared to how long my PS4 controllers last). All the buttons feel great (especially the d-pad), and I've never experienced any issues. My only criticism is the controller is kind of pricey, and there are not that many special editions released for it.

This is a very comfortable Xbox-style controller. Has a pretty good battery life and pretty good weight to it. Could be a bit cheaper, but Nintendo stuff typically weighs on the pricier side

Though this controller is pretty pricey, I got to admit it’s pretty great. I’m familiar with the feel of it bc I own an Xbox. Wireless is much needed and works perfectly.

This controller has worked me well, having an amazing battery life, being responsive, comfortable and everything youd expect from a well made controller, one minor issue I have, and it's does not happen extremely commonly, is that flicking any if the two analog sticks quickly (like if you are trying to turn your character in a certain direction with a flick) is that when the analog stick returns to the centre, it surpasses the dead zone which can be bothersome for some but really not a big problem for myself, but still dont expect this from a licensed product. Still a wonderful controller and highly reccomend

The controller feels premium the charge lasts a long time it has really good grip. Only problem 69.99 is a bit over priced but thats nintendo i would buy more once the price drops its a 49.99 to 59.99 control

More comfortable than constantly using Small Joy-Cons. Wireless is big help than a Wired controller. Charge time lasts longer than PS controllers.

I've been using this controller for a year now and have found it to work really well. It has a great weight and feel too it. Unfortunately I do know that it has a drift issue but it has not occured for me yet. I do believe the controller itself is a wee bit over priced, especially when you compare it to the pricing of the Dualshock 4 and Xbox One controller.

Like many of you, I got the Switch to play Zelda. I became really frustrated with the stock controller, maybe it was just my unit but I kept clicking the left stick in accidentally while playing. So as I'm strafing around a guardian trying to fight it.......all of a sudden the stick would click in and I'd start crouching and trying to do stealth during the middle of a sword fight. It was very annoying. So as soon as best buy had more of these in stock i ordered one and it's been fantastic. Only time I've gone back to the stock controller was for 4 player mario kart. Controller feels fantastic, the weight, the positioning of everything, battery lasts for ever. Pleased with it. Wish it weren't so expensive.

A bit pricey for what it is but overall a solid controller. very comfortable and light. bulkier than a ps4 controller while lighter than an xbox one controller.

Great controller that feels good to hold and use. It is incompatible with some games, but that's because of the games themselves, not an issue with the controller. It's easy to pair with the switch and stays paired until swapped to another device with no disconnecting issues. The battery lasts a long time, too. 5 stars.

I haven't messed with the controller for very long, but first impressions are good. The controller has a similar layout to an Xbox controller, but the size of a ps4 controller, so it feels and looks nice. It's also comfortable feeling, which is good. The only minor drawbacks, in my opinion, are the lights for the controller. The lights which show that it's connected and the player number are on the bottom of the controller, so unless you actually turn it over to look at the lights, you won't know it's on and connected. It's also fairly expensive, but it does have a number of features to back that price up. HD rumble, wireless, gyroscope, etc etc.

The price is a little steep, but it is absolutely worth picking up if you plan on doing any long amount of gaming on the Switch. It is a comfortable controller, and everything feels good on it.

Great controller. Sets the standard for all others. I think I like it even more than my (beloved) Xbox controller. They are very similar to each other of course, but this controller feels more refined somehow. This is the second time I've purchased this because I sold my first one to my nephews when I sold them my old switch. But I missed having this controller so I bought another one.

Controller feels comfortable, saves the wear and tear of removing the joy-cons from the sides of the console. Long lasting too. Essential if you want to play on the TV. Expensive, but worth it

It's a pretty intuitive controller, easy to use, good natural feel to it and perfect for long gaming sessions. I use it regularly and it's held up for hours on end of gaming without leaving my hands sore. The battery life is also amazing. It's nice not to worry about frequent charging. But my favourite part is that nothing obstructs its connectivity. I have my Switch set up in the living room and whether it's a blanket or table etc in between the controller and the console, it still works perfectly. I've had no sudden messages about lost connection, unlike the standard Joycons. It's a little pricy but worth getting in my opinion.
