This is a really great controller and it's a huge improvement over the Joy-Con Grip that comes with the Switch. The buttons are a decent size, there's a D-pad, and it's in a form that's way more comfortable than the Grip. It feels like a mix between an Xbox One and Xbox 360 controller and I like it. It also keeps the motion controls and NFC chip for games that require it. I like that Nintendo continues to use USB-C even with their accessories as well. It's expensive to be sure, but it's not a purchase I regret.

I bought this controller since I had a gift card and reward certificates, and even then my wife thought I was wasting my money. Flash forward to today and my wife is the one telling me when need to buy another one! I never minded the joycons in their controller dock but there is a noticeable difference going from joycons to the pro controller.... The buttons are so much bigger and it's so comfortable! Battery life is amazing as well, I'd highly recommend!

This is the controller that should come with the switch. It works 100% better than the joy cons and I find it has a pretty good battery life. My kids have played on the switch for two or three days straight before needing to charge it. I also bought one for myself, so when I play I got a my own controller that I use. Yea it’s expensive, but it’s totally worth it once you are use to the controller.

I think the price is a little too high but this really is a great solid controller. MUCH better feel than the joycons that come with it.

My son loves his Switch but got tired of using the smaller joy-cons that come with the unit. This pro wireless controller is a high-quality add-on to the system, and in my opinion, it's essential for those who will use the Switch as their primary gaming console. He won't travel with it -- the joy-cons are fine for that -- but for normal home use, the pro controller is the way to go.

I enjoy that it maintains some level of motion control even just to wake the console from the power save mode. Bought it a few weeks ago and put it through the ringer with Bayonetta and Zelda. No lag, no loosening of the sticks. Way better made than most of the XBox controllers I’ve bought!!

It's a good controller. I bought it for my wife to play Zelda because it was kind of a struggle to play with the two joy cons. I've never had any sort of lag or interference issues with it. It seems really expensive for what it is, and I haven't tried less expensive wireless controllers to see how they compare.

I am glad Nintendo released this pro controller. The joy cons are alright but there’s nothing like an actual controller in your hands when you want to play a game. It’s smaller than the PlayStation controller and fits well in my hands. Very comfortable to play for long periods of time, the battery lasts a good amount of time too. I have to charge it once every week and a half to two weeks and I play for 5+ hours per day.

The original is simply the best! I cannot overstate the quality of the Nintendo produced Pro Controller. There are a lot of Nintendo "certified" 3rd party controllers out there, but the simply don't meet the build quality of the "OFFICIAL" pro controller. The battery life on this controller is between 35-40 hrs depending on the game's use of rumble motors. This controller still outlasts the OEM controllers of the XB and PS by a mile.

In terms of feel, this controller is one of the most comfortable to hold. I prefer the feel of this over XBone and PS4 controllers, honestly. The buttons, on the other hand, are a different matter. They're not bad, but they're not great. They feel kind of mushy. The D-pad is decent. It's a little stiff at first but quickly becomes a bit mushy as well. (Sorry, it's about the best way I can describe it.) And, yes, I know this is simply the nature of using rubber domes in your controller. I guess, I was just hoping for something more tactile and precise with "Pro" in the name. (but then I'm weird) "But wait" I hear you cry, "the Joycons have more tactile and precise feeling buttons!" True, but the Joycons are smaller and less comfortable in the hand than the Pro Controller. Further, they don't have a true D-pad like the Pro Controller. And, honestly, those are the two main reasons I would recommend the Pro Controller, in the first place. A true, decent D-pad on a controller that's very comfortable to hold. Does that make it a must have accessory? I'd say so, yes.

The Switch's Pro controller is very comfortable in your hands, and feels like a mix between the Xbox and PS controllers. This is an essential purchase if you intend to play your Switch with games that require long game sessions like Zelda, etc, but makes games such as SSB Ultimate easier to control, and play. This is hands down the best official controller for the Nintendo Switch. The only con about it is the price. For some reason it costs even more than an XB1 or PS4 controller.

This is a great controller! I hate a lightweight controller that feels cheaply made. This thing feels very sturdy and the button layout feels very natural. The battery time is also very impressive. I play around 2 hours a day and I only have to charge the battery once a week...if that. It is a little more expensive than the other switch controllers that are available but the extra money is worth it. I highly recommend this controller

While the Switch is a beautiful blend of handheld and console, it suffers a notable weakness in the form of the joycon control sticks, which can be an impediment in certain games. The Switch Pro Controller is easily one of the finest controllers I have ever used. The battery has an impressively long life, the sticks and buttons are smooth and responsive, and it is comfortable in the hands. If you play your Switch on your TV, I highly recommend you invest in a Pro Controller.

Amazing battery life, first off, with it holding a charge of roughly 24 hours so far. I have purchased 2 of these (the review is for the most recent one) and have had zero issues. The signal never cuts out and it holds up really well, considering the fact that I have dropped them a few times on accident. No scratches and no damage when I did so. And they’re way more eco friendly than the battery options for controllers, too. Easily worth the price.

    Must-Buy Accessory for Nintendo Switch

This is a must-buy if you're playing anything on the Switch for longer than a half hour. The charge holds for quite awhile; I'm still on my first charge after 10+ hours of using it. The controls are super responsive and it feels quite comfortable in my hands. Not as comfy as an XBOX controller but it's way better than the tiny Joycons. Games played with it: Zelda BOTW, Mario Kart, Fire Emblem and Zelda: Hyrule.

This controller is a necessity when it comes to accuracy of shooting & extended comfort for those who play fortnite all day during this quarantine like my sister and I. She uses a pro controller with her switch lite, and I use one when I’m docking my full size switch. The pro controller is very durable and the battery life is above average! I charge it every 3 days-thats around 25-30 hours of game play on it. 10/10 would recommend

Do you sometimes play a game for more than 10 minutes? This is the controller for you! The battery on this controller last a long time, sits comfortably in your hands, and is very responsive. It makes playing games like Super Mario Odyssey much more enjoyable. The only negative I would have about his controller is the appearance. The black plastic is a little transparent, making it look like an old aftermarket controller. Other than that, this is a great addition to the console.
