Solid addition, but a bit over-hyped
||Posted . Owned for 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.A controller is definitely a must for the Switch and this one is basically the standard. The build quality is quite high and has a good weight to it. The design is nice with a semi-transparent face which is a good touch. The handles are textured and the overall feel is good for long play sessions. The sticks feel much more accurate compared to the joy cons due to the larger size. It also can be charged with a USB-C which is really convenient! I charge mine from the dock, but you can also use your own charger (one is not provided). If you are used to an Xbox controller, this is very similar in terms of size and layout. However, I mainly played with a Playstation which controllers are much longer and have a totally different grip. This takes some getting used to. The Switch Pro Controller's handles still feel short to me even though my hands are not that large. My hands also feel too close together which can become uncomfortable. Overall this is a great product but is honestly overpriced. I wanted to get the official controller to try to get the best experience. I believe you get the most authentic rumble from this and the joy cons, something the 3rd party controllers cannot replicate.

Must Have Accessory!
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The Switch Pro Controller is a must have for any gamer that wants to have the best experience possible with their new console. I will admit I was on the fence about picking this up because of the higher price than other controllers but I really think that it is worth the extra cost. The button/stick layout is very similar to an Xbox One controller which is much appreciated. This controller has a solid feel and is a bit on the heaver side. It feels incredible in the hands and is eons better than the bundled joycon controller grip. Once these are available for order again definitely pick one up. You wont be disappointed.

Great feel and best way to play in docked mode
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The layout clearly mimics the layout of the Xbox controllers. This controller feel nice and sturdy in your hands while also retaining a light weight to it. I play using this controller for nearly all my games that support it. Sometimes I just want to play with a classic feeling controller and this is it. Sometimes the D-Pad registers incorrectly. Definitely one of Nintendo's weakest D-Pads but its serviceable. That's my only complaint. Pretty pricey though. Still, a worthy edition to your peripherals at a lower price.

Excellent quality, balance and playability
||Posted . Owned for less than 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. If you've ever thought the joy cons felt a little small, get the Pro Wireless controller. Just the right weight and feel for larger (than a child's) hands. The first time I played Mario Kart the difference was very notable. It's not a replacement for joy cons if you play motion control games like Just Dance, but for the Mario series and other platformers I highly recommend it. Best Buy regularly knocks ten bucks off the price so go for it when they do.

Great Controller
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This controller is great, I bought it because I wanted to play Mario Kart 8 Deluxe with my wife. It feels great, I now use it to play Zelda when the switch is docked, so the joy cons stay attached to the system. Another great thing is that I have only charged it once since I bought, meaning the battery lasts a while. Usually my PS4 controllers need to be recharged after a couple of play sessions. I paid full price for it which I believe is a little much compared to controllers for other systems, however I think it's worth it. No brainer if it is on sale.

the standard for all other switch controllers
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.this is the controller to get if you plan on playing for any extended length of time. if you play for several hours daily, it will last for 4-5 days. smaller hands may take some getting used to, but you shouldn't experience much fatigue from holding this controller for long periods. it's more durable than a dualshock 4, but perhaps not as durable as an xbone controller. this is my 3rd pro controller, and the first two are still as responsive as this one. no drift on the sticks, either.

Built for comfort and speed + bonkers battery life
||Posted . Owned for 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This is my new favorite controller. It’s comfort grip has a tactile feel missing from my PS5 dual sense - It just feels natural in your hands. I like the oversized buttons and the direction pad is top notch. Where it really shines is the mind boggling battery life. I played all weekend and the battery life still showed 100%! (And this is with games that utilize the rumble feature). Compare this to the PS5 dual sense where you have to make sure to charge it after every gaming session. Now it doesn’t have haptic feedback or analog feature for the triggers, but that’s not really a big deal for me based on the style of Nintendo games. The only thing missing is a headphone jack - which I don’t use. I highly recommend for switch owners!

Easy buy online, store pick up!
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This controller has been very helpful when the one from an off-brand died. I love the "buy online and pick up in store option." The people at Best Buy were very helpful-- from the employee at the door to the employee at the checkout.

Best Switch Controller
||Posted . Owned for 5 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. My favorite way to play the switch at home is using this controller on my switched connected to my TV. The batter lasts hours of gameplay and charges quickly, tapping the home button (if already initially paired) will start up the console from the couch and enable you to start playing without getting up haha. The grip and feel are spot on albeit a tad on the larger size (i have medium sized hands), but still very comfortable and smooth

Sturdy and pro-like
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I love the novelty and practicality of using the Switch’s JoyCon controllers however I still love the traditional feel of a controller and this controller feels as sturdy and pro-like as Nintendo has ever had. It’s the second best controller behind the GameCube. The only negative I have is the D-pad but the wireless capabilities, ability to use it on PC and battery life are very good. If you can find it on sale, it’s definitely worth it to replay your games without JoyCon.

Amazing Controller
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The Switch Pro Controller is an awesome traditional gamepad. I've used many controllers in the past and in terms of comfort, this is up there with the XB1 and PS4. It takes the grip feeling of the PS4 controllers with the button layout of the XB1 controllers. It has definitely made playing Zelda a lot easier (vs the Joy Cons / Joy Con Charging Grip). This controller is a bit pricey (69.99) but it doubles up as a PC controller. Includes the HD rumble, rechargeable battery, and Amiibo functionality.

Excellent controller for the Switch
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This is a great controller for the Switch. It certainly beats the joy con grip by miles in comfort. It also holds a charge for a ridiculous amount of time. The one problem is that I find myself playing the Switch in handheld mode the majority of the time. But anytime I'm not, this is the best controller hands down. And the price is not as outrageous as some would lead you to believe. Just look at the other consoles' expensive controllers (some as high as $150) that they come with less functionality.

Great controller!
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I absolutely love this controller. I use it pretty much for everything even over the joycons, etc. I can't compare it to the cheaper ones for this console, but this one is very comfortable, wireless, holds a good charge and the buttons and direction pads feel really nice and natural. My only beef is that it costs 60! Controllers should just not cost this much IMO! But overall its great and I guess im glad I bought one for the extra money. Just can't afford more of them, hehe.

Great but not Perfect
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I really think if you are going to play Zelda breath of the Wild you are gonna want this guy for the big screen experience. The only problem with it is the high price. Quality is great, charge is 40 hours, nice grip and feel, yet quite light. I just think it is overpriced. It's a must have.

Great
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I never really liked the joy-cons. I don't have any friends that have Pro controller, so I just assumed it wasn't that good. After being home for the past few weeks and getting more annoyed with the Joy-Cons, I just took a chance and bought this. Honestly I wish I got it sooner, it's much more comfortable to hold. It's really responsive, I haven't noticed any drift at all. Battery lasts a really long time.

Enjoying
||Posted . Owned for 2 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Sure it’s a little more expensive then say a PS4 or Xbox one sometimes, but to me it’s worth it, sure motion controls are good in some games as is the grip for the joy cons, however you sometimes just need precision, but this thing has the shape and feel of an Xbox controller but weight of the PS4 one as it’s rechargeable so yay. I haven’t tested it on every game that’s impossible, but the ones I have work great with it so far.

Best controller for nintendo switch
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This controller is my favorite. It is durable, even if it falls from, like, 5 feet in the air onto a carpet. It has a good grip. Good for people who don't use the Joy-Cons much.

Life-Changing for the Switch
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This is an awesome controller, especially for playing games like The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild and Super Smash Bros. Melee. The weight is nice, the battery has great life, and it does feel like it's built well. I would definitely recommend, as a person with large hands, to get this controller, or one like it. The only thing I don't like is Nintendo seems to think accessories need to cost a premium!

A very good controller for both console generation
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This controller works very well for both the switch 1 and 2, it's also a lot more comfortable to use than the joy-cons, especially if find them to be too small.

Worth it if you use it
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Very ergonomic and comfortable. So far the battery is still lasting off the first charge and I'm a month in. I do believe this quality product is a must-have for any switch system. The price is a little steep but is worth it if you want something of high quality and Wireless as long as you do you put it to use.
