I prefer this gamepad to the Xbox One, and to the Xbox 360 controller - what was the gold standard for me.
Not quite above the PS4 DualShock 4, mainly because the Nintendo Switch Pro Controller Home and Share buttons are placed In a way they can be accidentally hit, impacting gameplay.
If you want a full-size controller for the Nintendo Switch system, do not skimp - this is the only quality option.

The cost may seem high for a controller but it is worth it if you are not playing in handheld mode. Incredibly comfortable, responsive and has 40 hours of battery life per charge. Worth it!

Having thousands of hours' experience with every controller Nintendo has ever produced, this is among their nicest, stylish, and comfortable yet. The buttons just feel great, the Dpad doesn't dig into the fingers like the Wii remotes did, analogs have the right "give", and the triggers sufficient depth. Though similarly shaped to the Wii U's Pro Controller, the construction here is much more solid. It's a shame this was not included with the system vs the ergonomic nightmare that is the JoyCon. It is still more expensive than a controller should be, but is far and away the preferred option when playing docked, and even in portable mode withe the stand.

I have to say I underestimated this controller but it feels just like the Xbox and PlayStation, In my opinion everyone should have a Pro Controller if they own a switch.

This particular controller helped with my drifting issues on my switch joysticks. I love to play Mario kart with it, because it’s so much easier to drift when needed in game. Plus, it’s a very comfortable controller to hold. It feels natural and you don’t have to worry about swinging it around to places.

If your hands are too big for the joycons, than the pro controller is a must. Upon the first 10 minutes of me of me using the switch with the joycons I began to get slight fatigue in my hands which made the decision for the pro controller much more easier. The pro controller has made the switch experience much better know because I can game for hours now without dealing with hand cramps. In addition, some switch users will find that the pro controller will be idea for more serious game play moments such as drifting and fighting game combos to name a few!

Having large hands make it annoying to use the normal Switch JoyCons. An actual controller like this make playing games on the Switch something I can do for prolonged periods.

Just like Wii U pro controller, this one also has very long battery life (10 hrs). I personally feel comfortable than Xbox controller. Little heavier than PS4 controller, but much comfortable.

The best thing about this controller is it’s battery life. I play about 3-4 hours a day and it can go three weeks until I need to charge it again. I only recharge it when it’s down to one bar of power. It hasn’t died on me yet. The controls response well, no drifting, and I like that I’m able to remap the buttons.

The pro controller is a pretty easy buy if you can get past the steeper prices that Nintendo's controller hardware is coming at these days.
The controller itself is very comfortable and easy to pick up and play with. I massively prefer it to the Joy Con grip controller when it comes to couch play on my TV.
Though the price may make it much more expensive, I am excited to get ahold of four of these over the course of the variation releases in order to have four controllers that anyone can pick up and be comfortable with on the spot.
My personal game recommendations that work great with this controller are for Breath of the Wild, Mario Rabbids, and Splatoon

The feel and comfort alone of the controller is enough to rate an easy 5! Connectivity and battery is a plus, and so is the function as well! Really no complains at all tbh!

While these are a little on the pricey side, these are really great controllers. Especially playing games that require the traditional controllers such as Super Smash Bros.

There's no reason to not own a Pro controller outside of financial limitations.
This is easily one of if not the best controller to-date, bar none. The weight is just heavy enough to give you a real sense of how sturdy it is. Button positioning works for most any able hands, and the shape feels neither bulky nor scrawny.
Visually simple, needing nothing to impress because when you hold it, you know.
I highly recommend keeping an eye out for sales on these and getting at least one if not two alongside your JoyCons. You can't go wrong with a Pro controller.
