I am a day one Switch owner and avoided the pro controller all this time. Since I predominantly play in handheld mode I didn’t think this was necessary and when I played in docked mode I thought the joycons were good enough. I finally decided to get the pro controller because my friends kept telling me I was missing out and they were right. Now I actually enjoy docked mode much more than I used to. A great, sturdy controller which enhances the gaming for sure.

It feels great to hold, and I have no complaints. It's responsive and accurate. Battery seems fairly long lasting.

It's overall an outstanding controller. It's extremely comfortable and responsive; however, the d-pads often have problems. I have two of these, and you have to fix the d-pad from making incorrect inputs by taking apart the controller and adding some tape to the pivot. Nintendo has to fix this.

Great controller and feels great in my hand! The battery life is phenomenal also! If you have a switch and need a controller, get this!

Feels good. The A-B-X-Y button scheme is the opposite of the X-Box, so that can be frustrating if you have both. It won't feel as good as the PS5 & X-Box controllers. I enjoy the bigger size ...as I am an adult, the tiny JoyCons are too small.

It feels very nice to use the Nintendo Switch Pro Controllers on some compatible Nintendo Switch games like Dragon Quest Eleven, Mario Kart Eight Deluxe, Super Smash Brothers Ultimate, Splatoon Two, Zelda Breath Of The Wild, etc.. I sometimes alternate between using the Nintendo Switch L/R JoyCons and the Nintendo Switch Pro Controllers. Either way, I guess/think using either of them provides great gaming experiences on the Nintendo Switch!!

The Switch pro controller is far superior to joy cons because of how comfortable the grip is, and how long the battery lasts

If you have a switch you MUST buy a controller to enjoy action/ adventure games. Also, i Bought this to replace an off brand controller i bought online... DONT buy off Brand anything. You can tell the difference in quality with nintendo verse other brand controllers. Save your money and buy this controller when on sale /or you need it. Ive had this almost a year an no problems

An absolute great controller! The buttons and joysticks are very responsive. It holds a charge for a very long time and it doesn’t feel cheap. This is well built and my go to when playing any action game on my Switch OLED. Too bad it rarely, if ever goes on sale.

Games like Zelda Breath of the Wild are much more enjoyable to play on this Pro controller vs the little Joycons, so I am glad I upgraded to this and the battery life seems really long and conveniently charges via USB-C. The only gripe I have is the left joystick seems really tall compared to the Joycon which I prefer is some instances, it seems they could shorten it by 1mm and it would be more responsive.

After playing the switch with the joycon attached to the screen my hands would go numb within 20 minutes. I switched the joy cons to the included controller dock, but the controller just didn't feel normal. I purchased this pro controller and so far am quite happy. I played for roughly 30-40 minutes yesterday and my hands weren't aching from the poorly designed controller/joycon and I could have played much longer. I would highly advise any adult suffering from aches/pains while playing with the joycon to check this out.

The form factor is more comfortable and familiar to me than the joycons (which, especially when used individually, feel small in my hands). In my opinion, this is a must buy for the Switch. The controller is well constructed, and it doesn't feel cheap. It has an NFC reader so if you want to interact with an amiibo it's simple. Nintendo says the battery can last up to 40 hours depending on what it's being used with - I haven't tested that, but haven't had any issues with the battery during extended play sessions.
