It works...
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I prefer a controller to the joy con adapter/controller. The + & - buttons are easier to access on this controller, in my opinion, AND you use these buttons a lot it Breath of the Wild. That being said, I will point out that the controller is comfortable & has worked very well with my system and has held a charge for quite some time. Now, the negative: the button configuration is the exact opposite of the Xbox controller. Nintendo may have a reason for doing this, but it is extremely annoying for someone who plays both systems. You may want to consider this before purchasing because I play Zelda a lot & when I go back to my Xbox I find myself hitting the wrong button all the time. For this reason, I give the controller a mediocre rating...that & the expensive price tag.

Good for old school gamers
||Posted . Owned for 2 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The smaller controllers on the Switch are good but this type of controller is much better. Do yourself a favor and get one of these, the whole experience is much better. Battery life is long and the feel of it is certainly good.

Much better range than detached joycons
||Posted . Owned for 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. When using detached joycons in the grip, I had to stand in front of the TV near the console or pull up a chair and keep the joycons within line of sight, otherwise connection issues would cause input dropouts. With the Pro Controller, I can sit back on the couch across the room, as comfortably as I like and have no issues whatsoever. I thought I might have to get a longer cable (the included cable is only 1 meter -- about 3.3 feet -- unlike what is mentioned as a "best answer" on a question here that incorrectly states 10 feet), as I am generally wary of wireless gaming controllers, but honestly I have not felt any lag or connection issues. Yes, it is much more expensive than the aftermarket controllers. However, those don't have motion control, which is essential for some games like Splatoon 2 (without motion control you only have coarse stick aiming; with motion control you have both coarse stick aiming and fine motion aim adjustment), and they don't have rumble, which can be essential for elements of other games, like Super Mario Odyssey which uses the rumble to let you know you're close to a hidden object. So, consider the games you play and whether these two features are important for you. Before I got this controller, I played the Switch almost exclusively in handheld mode because of the poor wireless connection quality of the joycons. With this controller, I play on the TV as much as possible. I'm obligated to point out that I am an employee of Best Buy. However, this has no bearing on the content of this review.

Good Controller, but expensive
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This controller works well, but is not cheap. Controllers should not cost more than games. But it works way better than using the numchucks. We had a similar controller start to move/drift. Hopefully this doesn't start doing that.

Pro all the way
||Posted . Owned for 11 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Excellent Paddle with built in rechargeable battery. The battery life lasts much longer than the standard joy con controllers. Now with iOS ver 16 supporting Nintendo paddles its a better reason to pic this up, however not all the games support it, but Minecraft does work.

Great controller
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This is another great controller from Nintendo. I've been using it while docked on my switch to play Zelda. It just feels good and with the right heft. It works well with Zelda. I sometimes prefer this over the joy cons. Only drawback is the price. Should've been a little cheaper.
