The machine itself is a simple but decent elliptical. As I am writing this I am on hold with support because for the second time the screw mounting the left roller arm to the crank. The first time the screw broke off without me using it and left enough of the screw for me remove it from the crank. This second time it broke with me on in, bruising my foot, and it broke inside the crank making it impossible for me to remove. The support reps have been great and when working the product is good but given it has broken twice in 8 months and physically hurt me I do not recommend it.

Does anybody know how to unlock my machine because it says I have to sign in in ifit to activate my machine but they want me to pay $15 each month does anybody know if I can just unlock it or is there another way?

I used the elliptical after assembly and the bolts on the two pedal hinges starting losing; it was coming out that I had to tighten it. Is there anything wrong with this? Because I shouldn't have to do this every time I use it.

Contacted Best Buy to replace a defective elliptical under warranty (I’m a total tech member). Turns out, total tech doesn’t work with heavy exercise equipment like it does appliances…read the fine print. Warranty replacement was about 89% of the cost of new. Also, since I'm 68, I went ahead and purchased the delivery, install and haul away of the old unit. Total out of pocket for me was $511.08 for a list price unit of $695.49. Oh well, here comes the good part! The unit was delivered by a partner company who brought the new unit into the house and after some convincing, took the old unit away. They explained they were not qualified installers, just deliverer guys. OK. I then got a call from Best Buy telling me that they would have to call in an assembly team and schedule an assembly date sometime in the future. So now, I have a new elliptical, in a box, in my bedroom, ready to do nothing with unit Best Buy can get an assembly team in. I’m handy…so I’ll get a credit from Best Buy and assemble the thing myself. Why Best Buy can’t get this done all at one time, I’ll never understand. Best Buy has good equipment/products, and the total tech is worth it for extended warranties, especially if you stick with appliances.

Replaced a ProForm elliptical with the newer ProForm Carbon EL. Great price at Best Buy. Heavy to haul home. Assembly needs 2 people. Instructions okay except …. Connecting power to console was easy to insert backwards. Service call ordered new motor; didn’t fix; ordered new console. Finally fixed after 9 weeks of 3 visits and 2 parts. Using manually w/o IFIT and now happy with the purchase. Maint tech said he had another buyer have same connection error during assembly — seems instructions could be updated by now.

The equipment feels solid. I am happy with the quality of the parts and the smooth movement of the elliptical. However iFIT membership is required to be able to share your data to anything. You must set up an account wit iFIT just to unlock the machine so it can be used. In 2022 you own workout data should not be blocked by a pay wall for a machine you purchased. It’s not a deal breaker because I can get around this with a wearable tracker but if it is important to you I would look around for a better option.

Great product, perfect size, easy to move, simple to use nice quality in general

After my research, finally I bought preform elliptical machine. Quality of the product is very good and no noise or vibration. It’s easy to install with instructions provided in booklet.

Excellent quality, works as should. Only issue is resistance pretty tough even on level 1. Wish could reduce some more. I walk 30-45 minutes 4 days/week (2.5miles) lol, and tough to do 3 minutes atm. Excellent sale price

Bought this item to replace an older Proform elliptical. Had a few mismatched plastic panels that wouldn't go together, used a dremel tool to make it fit. And, unlike the older models there are no built-in programs, which is very disappointing. Your options are, to manually adjust the load or to pay iFit subscription. I really wish they could have loaded some basic programs to adjust the load at regular intervals.

Great elliptical machine. Yes it does not have all of the full automated functionality such as the elevation adjustment is manual but that really doesn't matter for home gym equipment. Easy to assemble and so far its worked great. If anything changes a year from now, I will update this review.

The proform carbon stairstepper i just bought was very nice. My whole family enjoyed it. It gets everybody in shape.. fit in my living perfectly. We workout while watching TV

I love this ellipse. The only problem I’ve had is, for some reason, the console was reading that I was burning 1900 calories an hour, which is clearly not true… this glitch happened after about 2 weeks of ownership. For some reason, it self-corrected 2 days ago and is back to a normal calorie/time estimate, which is nice since I couldn’t find anyway to fix it on line

The item arrived, We assembled, and there was a missing part. the Resistance did not work, and the console caught on fire. and Now Im stuck with a machine that does not work! Proform will not help replace parts, nor will they help fix (return). BAD Customer Service!

It was pretty easy to set up. Would like smaller steps and more gliding, but overall it works well. Good for cardio but maybe not the best for someone with knee problems.

Just follows the instructions manual, it's easy to install yourself. It's running smooth, quiet and sturdy so far. It's great for family fitness.

It took me almost a month to get this delivered to my house, fine. It took me almost a week to put it together, and two hardware store trips, because an adjustable wrench WILL NOT adequately help you tighten the bolts, and one socket also cracked, fine. But, to finally get to use it and have one of the arm bolts (the column and the arm handles will be loose, no matter how you try to tighten them) loosen and then fall out onto the floor 3-4 times in an hour, is very disappointing for a not inexpensive machine. Yikes.

Simple to use, lots of different settings. Perfect exercise device for home. The only negative is best buy wouldn’t deliver it and the box is very heavy. Transport and bringing it to the house was extremely difficult. Also took me an entire day to assemble it.

Elliptical itself is a good value for money (best one I could find for $600). Giving only 4 stars because it forced me to spend 2 hours with the iFit 800 phone number trying to get the elliptical to start without paying for iFit membership. Also, the display controls are extremely minimal. There is no place to input person's weight for example.

Easy to assemble and very smooth while being utilized. Appreciate the manufacturer supplying additional grease inside the packaging materials. Highly recommend this product.
