Customers are saying

Customers appreciate the quality and ease of use of the Carbon EL Elliptical, citing its smooth operation and straightforward assembly as key positives. However, some users experienced issues with the machine's stability and noise levels during workouts, while others found the assembly process time-consuming and the resistance levels challenging to adjust. The incline feature and iFit integration were also highlighted as positive aspects by some users. A few customers also noted the machine's size and weight as factors to consider.

Overall pretty good elliptical machine to use for cardio, upper and lower extremities work out. Only down side is that it is slightly unstable if you’re going too fast. Manufacture needs to develop a better base to stabilize the machine.

Excellent machine! Os like being at the gym. Is big and heavy, so I do recommend big space and good floor condition. Expensive but is worthy.

I’ve had this for 2 years and have had zero problems. I use it several times a week. It’s quiet, easy to move around, and smooth. The only complaint I have about it is it does not adjust incline electronically, you have to adjust manually. It’s easy to adjust, you simply move a lever, but I wish I would have looked more closely before I purchased. Great product other than the incline though!

Good quality Eliptical. Use the Ifit app to interface to the manual program. You do not need to sign up for their monthly subscription to use the Eliptical.

So this is a ongoing disaster. I purchased the item back in May. Right out of the box it didn't work. It turned on but wouldn't register that anyone was on it. (not the ifit registration). It wouldn't register that someone was on the machine and moving it so it sat waiting for me to start moving. I tried everything. I looked up reviews for similar issues, looked at possible ways to fix it. This took the majority of the day. I called BestBuy the following day and they told me that I could contact the support since it was a new machine and they could send a tech out to fix it. Fine, cool. After calling the support team "Hardware support" they got my personal information, asked if it was plugged in and then sent me to "Software Support". They looked at the model and asked what the issue was. I explained and he said it was a Hardware issue because there isn't a lot of software on this model. Back to Hardware and he apologized for the previous attempts and walked me through everything step 1 to the end and it was clear that something was faulty. He offered to order the part and send out a tech. Sounds good! It's now July 27th, multiple parts are in my house, and the tech called me today. He said that it is no problem and he can schedule me. September 27th is the soonest he can be out here AND he explained that the only reason he could be that soon was because someone canceled or else it would of been late November. I called BestBuy on the phone (53 minutes (almost 30 minutes was waiting)) hoping they could give me another alternative since it was faulty out of box AND they highly recommended this method instead of returning it. The first guy I get fully understands the issue and recommends that I talk to the appliance team. After waiting on hold, he explains that no one is picking up and it'll be a little bit longer. After a while longer, I get a lady with me on speaker so my voice is echoing back in the whole time and she sounds like she's in the bathroom. I explained the issue all over again, the steps I've taken and asked if there was anything we could do. (Send a tech out to fix it, exchange, refund, literally ANYTHING that isn't the broken machine that isn't going to be fixed until September 27th IF the guy on the phone sent the correct parts. If not, it won't be until January 2022. This information was directly from the tech.) She explained that there was 3 options. Talk to Proform support or get a tech sent out. (I understand that's only two. Just wait, it gets worse.) but they can't send out a tech until after the warranty is out. So I am doing the correct path to get it repaired. She then let me know that there are no other options and "I'm sorry". I verified that that the correct method for this machine was to either return it within the first 15 days or to spend almost 7 months getting it repairs to use it for the first time. She said "Yes, I'm sorry". So I guess I am going to wait out almost a year, countless hours of literally taking the machine apart for multiple techs and putting it back together and speaking to support to get this resolved. (You HAVE to take it apart, pull the plastic parts and adjust the measurements of the parts inside the "wheel" before they send out a tech. Also, don't touch any of the exposed wiring because it will give you a "pretty bad shock" as explained by the Proform tech.) This is a standard BestBuy experience. Half of my items from BestBuy were purchased new but were CLEARLY refurb/returned items (I also have pictures to prove this.). Moral of the story; If ANYTHING is wrong or feels off at ANY point... save yourself some time and return it immediately because they will shaft you. Or just don't shop at BestBuy. If it matters, this is with "Elite membership" by BestBuy

Its resistance is sufficient for regular exercise. The anti-slip design of the pedal is very good. It's just that there is a bit of normal noise from the pulley. The most important thing to note is that the cross-motion design of the slide bars poses a safety hazard to children, because the two slide bars operate like scissors. After all, it is a good fitness equipment for adults.

I am overall happy with my purchase. I didn’t have help setting up the elliptical but I really wish I did. It took me about 3 hours to finish. I don’t have to worry about going into a gym now. Especially during a pandemic. The machine does make a squeaky noise but I just turn up the tv while I work out .

Overall it's a great eliptical machine. I purchased it for $599 and that was an excellent price at the time. The height of the eliptical is rather tall, even at the lowest incline level. That could present an issue for ceilings that are lesser than 6'5" (e.g., some basement areas). If you have great ceiling height than it's no problem. It offers smoothe strides and is moderately quiet. It offers several resistence levels and workout programs. I enjoy using my eliptical and I've had it for about 7 months. It wasn't too difficult to put it together, I did it solo and it was about 3.5 hours. I took my time, followed the instructions and laid everything out.

This is a pretty good elliptical for the money. It's big and fairly sturdy, but its a very apparent step down from a commercial unit. My only real complaint is getting the thing properly balanced to reduce wobble. It has multiple feet to adjust, but its very hard to get it just right so it doesn't sway while using. Otherwise, it has plenty of resistance levels, is fairly quiet, and allows for a good workout.

Assembly was a little confusing at times but ultimately it was a good experience. The quality is top notch. Please use 2 people to assemble and the pieces are heavy and large. It will make the process that much easier. My wife loves it. She uses it every day

If I could do it all over again, I'd purchase the 2 year Geek Squad protection plan for this elliptical. When you're buying something that has this many moving parts and that endures many types of stresses and forces, the odds are higher than normal that something may malfunction or give out completely. Already only after light usage, there is a "click" coming from the right side when pedaling. The iFit stuff is pretty annoying to deal with, too. You should be able to work out without having to subscribe or sign up for some proprietary apps or website.

Assembly took awhile, and the directions were a bit confusing at points, but when you have it all set up it works great. If you’re worried about the ifit subscription, don’t be, all you have to do is hold the ifit button for 20 seconds after you first plug it on and it completely bypasses it.
