    Great treadmill with impressive features

This is a great treadmill with a number of impressive features. The length and width of the track gives plenty of room for both walking and running at any speed. The incline and decline range of -3% to 12% allows for a good workout and transitions very smoothly. The space saving design was easy to work with and helped to minimize the area needed to accommodate the treadmill. I also give a big thumbs up to the safety features that are built into raising and lowering the deck and also while stored around pets and children. The large display and number of workouts available provide something for every person and their abilities. The display does not seem to have a sensitive touch but required a little force, not bad but had to get used to it. I really like the placement and size of the manual controls. It makes it easy to use without a lot of searching. The fan was a nice feature and well positioned for a comfortable workout. I am still working with some of the features but overall, I am very pleased with this treadmill and the feel of the machine during a workout. I was given this product for a reduced price in exchange for my honest and unbiased opinion.

Great for Training indoors for hikes/races

This is the 3rd treadmill that I've had, and so far as been pretty impressive. Training outside isn't always a possibility (too cold, watching the kids, trails are too far away) so I've wanted a treadmill that could take the heat of training, and still give me a similar experience to running outside. As soon as I finished setting this up (took about 4ish hours) I did a few miles on it and here's what I liked the best. The 14" display is great when paired with the ifit training videos, audio quality is great as well. I love running outside, so the ifit videos on a larger screen help me have a similar experience. Hard to get that experience on a smaller screen like other treadmills. I really appreciate the built-in fan, although I wish it was adjustable to get air onto my face VS just my torso. Either way, it helps get some air circulating in the immediate area. Incline/decline is smooth, and it's a much quieter incline transition than other treadmills I've had (others have been very loud during incline/decline, to the point of not being able to hear my music. I really dig how this treadmill has decline capabilities, people underestimate downhill training and it's importance. I also really appreciate the simple design of the treadmill, from the adjustable screen to the way that the treadmill base props up in storage mode. The hydraulic safety arm keeps the treadmill base coming down slow so there is no need to hold the treadmill all the way until the floor, it'll go down slowly by itself.

    Love It!

First of all, don't try and put this together by yourself. I am stubborn and my wife said "you should call the neighbor," which I did not listen to. It was a great workout to drag it in the house and put it together though. Pros: Very well built, incredible screen clarity to follow the workout and iFit program, love the speakers and fan, nice motor. Cons: I am used to just hopping on a treadmill at the gym and just going, this required a little bit to understand what I was doing. I will say that after I was all dialed in with iFit it was perfect as this is designed for home use and individualizing my workout so that I can really see progress. I can only compare to a flimsy treadmill I bought once, and then ones from the gym, but this is the best treadmill I have ever used in terms of technology, and making it easy to find a way to motivate myself to work out. I was given this product for a reduced price in exchange for my honest and unbiased opinion

Disappointing quality and annoying without iFIT

    • I know they don't build things like they used to, but the new 5000 is extremely disappointing in fit, finish, materials, and sturdiness in comparison to our current (and quite old) ProForm we were trying to replace. • My general recommendations after this experience would be: • Don't purchase any large heavy exercise equipment you haven't examined and used in-store, as logistically and financially it can be very impractical to return • Don't buy any iFit enabled exercise equipment unless you intend to maintain one of those relatively expensive iFIT subscriptions for the life of the equipment (note this can easily cost more than the equipment over the life of that equipment). • Consider purchasing delivery and/or assembly options for larger/heavier equipment if it needs to go up or down stairs to get to its desired location • As to the ProForm 5000 • It has no way to permanently bypass iFit so every time you want to use it you have to go through a multi step bypass process, its "50 internal programs" don't seem to number anywhere near 50 and they are heavily interspersed with many more locked programs you have to browse through to get to the built in ones, and "manual" use still requires the bypass and is incredibly rudimentary and unattractive. • The console is sleek an clean looking with good control layouts but constructed largely of thin and fragile feeling hard plastic, and ill-fitting components and cladding with sharp edges and gaps. The whole console is easy to shake around significantly with one finger and a water bottle in the water bottle rattles around even when walking slowly on the treadmill. The large fan enclosure that looks like it holds two fans side by side is mostly facia with one small noisy fan in the center third. It has four speeds and generates a reasonable air flow but there is no directional adjustment and is directed at your stomach if you are of average height. • The treadmill base is generally quiet when running but mine has a periodic grinding sound that I believe is the belt grinding on some of the plastic cladding at some point but I haven't isolated it yet as it makes the sound only when someone is on it. The elevation adjustment is noisy and slow and returns to 0 at the end of each exercise session. • Overall I would not recommend it to anyone given its quality and value for money and its very poor user experience without an iFIT subscription

    Broken After 4 Months

When you pay more you get better products right? Not in this case. After 4 months using the machine with an average daily use of 4-5 miles it is broken and I am now two months into waiting for parts and service from the company. Machine started eating drive belts after about 3 months and I replaced it once myself before it became clear there was a bigger issue. Customer service has been a headache and I will not be surprised if it ends in a lawsuit. My advice, avoid this product and this company.
