Hitchcock's most famous 'horror' film

Alfred Hitchcock took the lessons of European cinema and made a low-budgeted, tightly-scripted thriller that delivered surprise after surprise. The BLU RAY transfer is first rate, with crisp imagery and great contrast. The extras are quite good (although I wish they'd put the films shot for the Universal Theme Park Hitchcock show out at some point) and the whole package is first-rate. This is one of those films you must own.

Worth the Double Dip

Yes the last edition came out only a couple months ago but this is an upgrade in every way. This is a far more attractive steelbook and the back panel simply is perfect. The gloss on the title puts this over as well. The on disc content is the same but the packaging is worth the upgrade or double dip.

Timeless classic

Fortunately for us, it did get made with outstanding performances by Anthony Perkins and Janet Leigh. It's tame by comparison to what you see on the screen today, but was considered quite horrific back in the day.
