For someone who has heard all of the hits and already own the music contained within this collection, I still recommend this set as it contains re-mastered versions of songs from Wings Wild Life, Red Rose Speedway, London Town, Pressed to Play and Back to the Egg. I like Bip Bop from Wings Wild Life and I think most listeners get the point of this song which is fun and sounds fantastic on this release. You also will also hear Big Barn Bed and My Love from Red Rose Speedway sound absolutely fantastic Girlfriend, Don't Let It Bring You Down and With A Little Luck (Single Version) from London Town, Pressed and Good Times Coming/Feel the Sun from Pressed to Play, and Arrow Through Me and Baby's Request from Back to the Egg. I think having these songs alone are worth the price for this wonderful collection until Paul finally gets to give these albums the full treatment with his archive collection releases.

Paul says he and his people put this together like it was a big playlist. Whatever, Paul. Even though the tracks are in no particular order, it works just fine. The remastering sounds great, and Paul's fans will recognize everything on this 4 disc set, however, even if you are a casual fan, i think you will find it extremely enjoyable.

I was a little reluctant to buy this new compilation because I already have much of this music. But I decided to give it a try and see . I'm glad I did. Everything has a brighter cleaner sound due to the remastering. The song order works well, despite my preconceived notions, and it's thoroughly enjoyable from beginning to end.

The amount of songs is excellent for the price. You can't go wrong with the value and is a much better value than the 2cd set. I wish it had more 70's music and a little less of his later stuff, but it's still great as the later songs are good too.

Without question this is a compilation of some of the best material from the world's greatest musician/composer. He is without peer!

Has a little bit of everything from McCartney's solo career. Bought as a gift. Girlfriend loves it

This collects all of his best known solo work for those who don't want to spring for the 4 CD Boxed set of Pure McCartney.

Pure McCartney has all 67 tracks included in this 4CD Booklet Deluxe Edition and the first comprehensive compilation album that was selected by Paul McCartney. There were a few tracks that I wish were included: Daytime Nighttime Suffering Old Sim Sir Getting Closer I Had Enough London Town Once Upon A Long Ago C Moon Rockestra Theme I Lie Around The Mess Hope of Deliverance Only Love Remains Girls School Give Ireland Back to the Irish Mary Had A Little Lamb Spies Like Us Vanilla Sky C'Mon People Stranglehold Helen Wheels Freedom My Brave Face This One Put it There Figure of Eight Ou est let Soleil Pure McCartney is Pure Paul McCartney at its best. It sounded much bigger, better, louder, clearer, and remastered than the other three compilation albums. In addition to the 4CD Deluxe Edition, I have the 2CD Edition and the 4LP Vinyl Album Set to my collection.

The issue with a four CD greatest hits package like this is, there is always something let out that people want. Example of rare and hard to find McCartney songs left off are, "Spies Like Us" "Wonderful Christmastime" "Mary Had A Little Lamb" "Seaside Woman" and "Give Ireland Back To The Irish" I would have liked to have seen the track line up in time line order, however the track line up does not take away from the set. I have not decided if this is a good or a bad thing. The producers went back to the original album tapes. Example of this is "Uncle Albert" The original tapes from "Ram" were used on this project. At the end of "Uncle Albert", the start of "Smile Away" can be heard, as on the original 45. The one issue I dislike about the four CD package is that Best Buy has chosen to make this an on line order only and not stock the package in the stores.

Bought the deluxe edition, have no complaints whatsoever. It features a lot of hits while also providing a few songs you might have forgotten about. It also spans his entire solo career.
