I purchased this DVD because the movie is a classic and to test the performance of the new dvd player that I purchased.

Had to have the legend Prince purple rain movie. In my collection, that way I can watch any time I want as much as I want.

This was and is for me the best Prince Album and it transports me to the greatest 80s era when MTV really played videos!!!

I love the movie. I couldn't find it at the time, but best buy had it back ordered and I received it in a couple of weeks.

If you like Prince or his music you will love this movie. Acting is not great but the musical performances are excellent.

Who doesn't know about Purple Rain ? I am so happy they released it for the public so that we could cherish his legacy.

Excellent movie on the beginning life of Prince hitting the big time. He was excellent in his performance and the cast.

A classic movie everyone most have if you like Prince music.

This semi-autobiographical movie follows the life and loves of the pop star Prince. The purple one sings us into his heart revealing both a popicon , but also a man with a tender soul. In the end love finds him in the purple rain.

Never watched the movie so I had to buy it. Prince is the man. RIP.

Great movie. I remember seeing the movie when it first came out years ago and it's just as good today as it was then.

After I returned my mamas copy I just happened to see it in Best Buy on blu Ray for $5, who couldn't pass that up.

I've been watching this movie since I was a teenager and it's still a moving, dramatic film. Although the acting isn't great, the story and the soundtrack make up for that. This remains one of my favorite music films of the 80's.

The late great Prince tells his story about making it big. The music is great and Prince fans like me will love it.
