Customers are saying
Customers have good things to say about the smooth, entertaining, and fast gameplay of Puyo Puyo Tetris, along with its fun and engaging nature. The game's portability, especially on the Switch, is also frequently praised, as is its reasonable price point. However, some find the Puyo Puyo aspect challenging and difficult to master.

Fantastic Refreshing way to Puyo and Tetris
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This game is probably going to go down as my absolute favorite Puyo Puyo game ever. This game has everything, with the charm and challenge that a Mean Bean Veteran like myself have come to appreciate about the series, but this game offers up a new twist, Some of my friends are better at Tetris and with this title you can face PUYO PUYO VS TETRIS and its quite addicting and fun! The Single Player is also very charming and the story is very funny!

Tetris on the Go
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Back in 1989 when the Gameboy released, it came with Tetris. Being able to play the addicting game on the go was a match made in heaven, and this newer version has finally been released on the Switch. Much like with the Gameboy, this is a perfect combination. If you are a big fan of puzzle games, this is a very easy recommendation. The Puyo-Puyo aspect adds some fresh blood to the mix, so it will keep you occupied for quite some time.

A great choice for filling out your Switch Library
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Puyo Puyo Tetris is available on PS4 also, but ultimately I decided on the Switch version. It's an excellent game to bust out when there's a little down time and you are with some friends. You will always have that second controller since it's the Nintendo Switch! Also, the keychains are an excellent incentive to get it sooner than later. They are pretty well made, but are only one sided. I plan on using mine for Christmas ornaments!

One of the best and most addictive games on Switch
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. You think you are good at Tetris... until you play this game online. And then you start to learn tips and tricks you've never seen before in a Tetris or a Puyo Puyo game. Online is also smooth, and as for offline, there are a ton of different modes and variations that will keep you busy for a long time. Not to mention the game graphics and visuals are smooth and crisp, and excellent overall for a puzzle game. Recommended!

Puyo? Good. Tetris? Good.
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I've played Puyo puyo since Tsu and had to buy the Japanese versions for Fever, 20th Anniversary, and 7. I was very happy to see this come Stateside, and was not disappointed. The different game modes are really fun, and Tetris is integrated into the Puyo battle scheme almost seamlessly. If there is one bone to pick I wish that there was the option to keep the original Japanese vocalizations during play.

Finally, a challenging competitive Tetris game!
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I grew up playing Tetris on the original Nintendo. This game has the standard Tetris marathon mode - and it also has the standard Puyo Puyo game. So it's two games in one, plus a story-based campaign, plus single-player competitive puzzles against various challenging AI-characters AND a great competitive online multiplayer experience. Though the characters can be a bit too much sometimes, this game is a lot of fun!

Pure puzzle game bliss
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. These are two great puzzle games that go amazingly well together. Sure, the characters and story can be annoying, but they're easily skippable; and it's easy to overlook with just how excellent the actual gameplay is. If you're anything like me, you'll be clearing tetriminos and popping puyos even when you turn off the system and close your eyes. It's the kind of game that gets into your system and won't let go.

Two Great Puzzle Games in 1 Well-Priced Package!
||Posted . Owned for 3 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I've always been a big fan of these two puzzle games over the years (though some may know Puyo Puyo better as Dr. Robotnik's Mean Bean Machine on the Genesis and/or Kirby's Avalanche on the SNES), and it still holds true today. The really interesting bit, however, are the modes where both games are combined together. I'm personally a big fan of Swap, where you switch back and forth between Tetris and Puyo Puyo. There's very interesting strategy about when exactly to pull off multi-line clears and Puyo combo clears in order to defeat your opponents. Do you unleash them ASAP, or do you wait until the swap so it puts your opponent under more pressure? The game runs and controls excellently! Depending on what controller/directional pad you have, it might be a little tough to go as fast as you can. One fair warning, though, the story mode has some "interesting" dialogue, particularly involving the character named Schezo. Depending on your tolerance, it may be best just to skip the dialogue. Anyway, with support for 4 players both locally and online, there's plenty to enjoy for the $20 price tag! Highly recommended.

Best version of Tetris out there
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This game offers a great combination of Tetris and Puyo Puyo which is something new to me. I really enjoy the different game modes and playing the verses mode while I’m playing Puyo Puyo my wife plays Tetris. The only reason not to rate this as a 5 is these aren’t new games. Tetris has been on pretty much every console ever so it’s replay value has dropped over the years. If you are a fan of Tetris though, then this probably will be the best version to get.

Definitive Puyo Puyo Tetris
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. If you like Puyo Puyo, and if you like Tetris, this is really the ideal way to be playing. You can play just Tetris, just Puyo Puyo, or you can swap between them, or you can play both on the same board. There's plenty of tutorials and story mode content to ease you in, there's unlockables to keep you busy, but most importantly, multiplayer is a blast. Play it with friends before you write this one off.

SEGA! TETRIS!
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Fan of Puyo Puyo? Fan of Tetris? Want to learn both? Pick this game up. If you were curious what the big deal is and always wanted to start getting into a competitive puzzle fighter. This would be it. Puyo Puyo resembles Dr. Mario while tetris is, well tetris. It's fun for everyone and if you want to get competitive, there are tips and tricks you can learn to become a force to be reckoned with.

A fun little crossover between two puzzle series
||Posted . Owned for 1 year when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This has been a fun time. The different game modes are a nice change of pace from the standard Tetris fare of just clearing lines. The story mode is rather amusing, though it may be best in small chunks. Any puzzle fan will likely enjoy this, especially if you like either series that is featured.

A lot of Modes
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This is probably the best version of Tetris and there's also another game Puyo Puyo. Both games are classics and the new modes change the experience greatly. The only con I can think of is that the single player campaign has some annoying voice acting. But if you just want to play PuyoPuyo or Tetris this is probably the best game and the Switch version you can take anywhere.

A solid, classic puzzle game
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. There's probably very few gamers out there that haven't played Tetris. So that part of the game won't be a surprise to most. Puyo Puyo, on the other hand, is a bit more obscure. That being said, the combo of both of these games in one package is a good thing. While you aren't getting some super deep playing experience, Puyo Puyo Tetris is a nice addition to a not very deep Switch library...and the bargain price doesn't hurt.

Fun with friends
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I bought this game specifically for the local multiplayer content. It's a blast when you're with friends. This has the potential for endless fun since you can mix up the gameplay and the online community can be rather challenging. That said, the gameplay is repetitive so playing online or with another person is the only way I was able to enjoy the game. The game feels like a smartphone app. It's fun, and it works in short bursts.
