Incredible action, thoughtful storytelling. Such a refreshment from Call of Duty games (which I like). Best Xbox exclusive in a long time.

What makes Quantum Break so interesting isn't its sub-par shooting mechanics or the four 20 minute pre-recorded episodes interspersed between Acts. Actually while the TV show is interesting, the brief decisions made as the villain provide some perspective, and time abilities are fun if not fully realized, it's the story and a reliance on one scientific theory that elevate it beyond an ordinary action game. Quantum Break is based around the Novikov self-consistency principle, a scientific theory that argues against the possibility of paradoxes. Quantum Break's adherence to this principle allows the writers to craft a rather engaging time travel story line where the past is set and cannot be changed. Experiencing the events of the game and piecing together the timeline becomes the most enjoyable, sometimes emotional, and successful aspect of Quantum Break. If you are into solid scientific mysteries and can handle some loose but acceptable 3rd person shooting, Quantum Break is worth a look.

Best story of any video game I have ever played. You probably know Remedy inserted 20 minute live action scenes into the story. The scenes are very professionally done with production values that are definitely TV quality. It gets you into the story and makes you care about the characters.

The game is party game and part tv show. Its radically different and awesome. The action is amazing and the story is quite good.

So after reading and seeing online reviews, I went with the Xbox one version of the game. Having played all remedy games this one is different but likable enough. Just wish it had more time power moves. Graphics are solid but does stutter at times. Once you immerse yourself in the story and characters you will look the minor flaws. Enjoying the game so far..

I mainly buy games for my PS4, but this game is only available on XBOX (and maybe PC). It's a decent game with some interesting game mechanics, but for me it also became a bit tiresome at some points. That's not necessarily a knock against the game, only that I like games that keep changing things up as you go so they aren't too repetitive.

I enjoyed the idea of the Game and show combination. I honestly wished it was longer but it is what it is. I've heard mixed results, but it was still an interesting game. I would wait for it to be on sale though. Paying 60 bucks new isn't worth it in my opinion. Also be prepared to have space on your drive because the episodes are like over 70 gigs.

Good single player game smooth game play and interesing story

Quantum Break tells the story of Jack Joyce, the wayward brother of a physics genius who has discovered the workings of quantum theory and, in the process, threatened the fabric of time itself. There's a greater conspiracy afoot involving family friend Paul Serene and the mysterious — of course — Monarch Corporation, and Jack is thrust into the middle of it all as he tries to pick up the pieces and save existence. Time travel stories are a tricky thing, and most collapse under the simplest scrutiny. Remedy's narrative operates from a simple, stabilizing premise: The past cannot be changed, but the future isn't set. By sticking to this concept, and mercilessly driving it home, Remedy pulls off the Looney Tunes rule pretty well —€” if you just keep running and don't look down, everything will be fine. The way Quantum Break handles story is, easily, the most interesting, successful thing about it. It's not that combat is bad —€” though its success is a little more uneven —€” but Remedy accomplishes something no one has really tried, much less successfully executed on: The studio has integrated the game of Quantum Break with a fully live-action episodic component.

I got this for Alan wake, but turned out to be a good game. I lost interest though.

This game is quite a bit of fun to play and has a great story. The gameplay is smooth and using your powers is a blast.

Time travel is a hard concept to focus a game around but Quantum Break does a great job with its story and intertwining gameplay with full-fledged episode. One downside is that they introduce most of the abilities during the beginning of the game so it gets pretty stale fast. However, the game is definitely worth it when on sale!

Was an incredible experience, the "tutorial" is a little long (you dont get all of your available powers until after a couple hours of play) but after that you just wreak havoc on your environment and the enemies. It is a tad short, coming in at about 12 hours or so of gameplay. Good game to boost your achievements too, was able to complete 850/1000 points in that 12 hours of gameplay
