Customers are saying
Customers highly value the engaging gameplay and compelling storyline of Quantum Break. Many also praised the action sequences, time travel elements, and enjoyable powers. However, some felt the game lacked replayability and had a relatively short campaign length. Overall, the positive feedback on the core gameplay mechanics outweighs the concerns about replayability and length.

A nice thought, but poor execution
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.A video game that parallels a TV show? Sounds great right? Well, sorry to burst that bubble but the game is nothing special. Maybe Microsoft should direct more resources at production instead of marketing!

Could be bettet
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I was excited when I first heard about this game, but once I popped it in I saw way too many issues. From glitchy graphics, extreme language, and offensive religious slurs caused me to return it. Not a good title.

Exciting new direction for video games
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I had been following the progress of this game for quite some time and was impressed by this developer's last entry Alan Wake (which also comes with this game in the form of redeemable content). What Remedy has done with Quantum Break is successfully merge gameplay with a cinematic TV experience that could rival or match almost any original programming Netflix currently offers. The basic hook of the story and gameplay is timetravel and you get 6 different powers to play with throughout the game that you unlock about halfway through the game. The plus to this is you get to experience them early on but the drawback is this leaves you with not much else to unlock except collectibles for the later part of the game. For those wanting the best comparison on how the gameplay feels I would compare it to something like an Infamous on PS4 or Prototype 2 for Xbox. So some might wonder how the TV stuff fits into the actual game. In essence you will complete an Act just playing like you normally would and then a "Junction" part of that Act will follow at the end which is the part of the game in the "bad guys" point of view in which you choose a direction that Monarch will take. Your choice will effect later events in both the game and the TV episodes that come up right after your Junction choice. There are 5 Acts in total and your playtime will range depending on if you like getting the collectibles which I did since they added a lot to the stories much like Bioshock's audio diaries. If you go the collectibles route and do 2 playthroughs to see the effects of the two different choices then it will take you about 40 hours or so. If you only want a single playthrough and are not big on collecting then it will likely only take you between 10-15 hours. Something I would be remiss to not mention is this game features one of the best casts a video game has ever had as it has Shawn Ashmore, Aidan Gillen, Courtney Hope, and Lance Reddick to name a few. Overall I give 4/5 stars!

Not worth it
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I was pretty excited to get this game. It started of way too slow and and way too many cut scenes. Way too slow and overall I am selling it back as quick as I can.

Decent game
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I got into GTA V so this wasn't as fun as if I hadn't played GTA. It seems good but the story line was too slow and I lost interest.

Good idea but...
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This is a MS exclusive and I was expecting more. Mediocre gameplay with not that much to do. I'd rent first before buying.

Disappointing
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I couldn't get through it. Just kinda felt like a generic 3rd person shooter. At least I got Alan Wake out of it.

Fantastic story but overall short game
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I purchased this game on a whim and I am glad I did. The story telling and production value are top notch. The gameplay feels like Alan Wake with super powers which is awesome. All that being said I would recommend that you rent this game from redbox for a few days rather than waste $63 total on it. I played through the game on hard and got a 90% completion rate with only putting 12 hours in and that includes watching all the cutscenes, tv episodes, and listening to all the music in the credits.

Great Sci-fi story, live episodes neat idea
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Only partly thru this game, buy if you like a good story driven, single player game this has been great so far. Story is good, action is good, movement feels a little sluggish but not unlike some other games. Lots of extra to find to really flesh out what's going on. If you just play thru the action without stopping to read emails and listen to raid and such you may not enjoy as much. The short "TV" episodes between acts is pretty cool and I actually look forward to seeing what other things have been happening while I'm out shooting things in the face.

Great Game from Remedy
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I've only completed the first two acts and watched the first two episodes of the in-game tv show, but I can say with confidence that this game is great. I'm a huge fan of Alan Wake and Max Payne(1&2) from Remedy and I think they continue their streak with this game. The gameplay is fun and interesting and the storytelling is unlike any other game out there. The TV show episodes break up the game nicely and I'm overall very happy with the game. Definitely recommend this game if you have an Xbox One!

Short But Sweet
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. While this game isn't perfect, it is highly enjoyable. Intertwining short live action tv episodes in between game chapters makes this a first of its kind game. Every decision changes not only the gameplay, but the actual scenes shown in the short episodes. A typical playthrough of this game Only takes 4-7 hours. For fans of interactive storytelling, this is for you.

Pretty fun!!
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I like the time travel/ shooter combination of this game! That being said, I am not really fond of the TV style episodes that follow completion of each act. I find myself playing on my phone and glancing up time to time when they are running. The cool gameplay makes it worth it though.

Awesomeness
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This could definitely be the game changer for the console. The game is original, no remaster, and looks to show the power of the Xbox one.
