Awesome controller! Works great easy set up and it knows when it’s raining via Internet

So far so good. Skipping watering grass on rainy or windy days. Good app no lags easy to set up the unit.

The only drawback is that although it does adjust to local weather conditions, it tends to water a little more than is necessary and has to be adjusted accordingly. It is easy, however to make the adjustments

Rachio is easy to install and set-up through the app! Setting up zones, run times, and schedules takes no time at all.

The Rachio line models 1 and 2 of sprinkler controllers are amazing. But the model 3 is a game changer over all other sprinkler controllers. It's customization is almost endless, and the built in weather app can detect weather and know when not to water the lawn because it's raining is just awesome. Now the Rachio 3 offers water usage monitoring with the purchase of the water flow meter, it can actually tell you how much water in gallons you are using in all your zones or any one zone in particular. As I said, it's a game changer.

They don’t tell you that there are tons of additional components to buy in order to get it to do everything they do tell you it does. It goes off line and I don’t get a notification. Frequently, it won’t run on a scheduled time or certain zones will run for a shorter period, yet I won’t get notification as to why (was it a weather skip, was it offline, etc.). And there are many settings that you need to know technical information in order to know how to set up, yet they don’t give descriptions/definitions. This means I’ve paid $300 for it to have all of these features that I either don’t have access to or I don’t know how to set. Which means it’s programmed to function like a basic one

I got this for Father's Day, what a cool little device. I set up the zones, took pictures of each and told it the kind of soil, amount of exposure, the grade and it did the rest. I can run a zone whenever from wherever I want right from my phone. It talks to local weather stations so if it rains or is going to rain, it knows and adjusts the schedule accordingly. We've already saved money on the water bill and we got a rebate from our local water company, highly recommend this one.

This is the best and easiest to use timer for internet based systems out there. Very pleased with this.
