Works As Advertised . Easy Installation . Very Handy .

Still learning how to use this new controller. So far is works better that expected and as we learn more each set of the way it just keeps getting better. Best part was when it told us what was wrong with our sprinkler system to fix a problem we have had for years. It took a bit of tracing of the problem but it was fixed with a simple new part and ah ha we are back to working.

We had a manual controller before. This phone operated controller is remarkable! We love it!!

Recently moved and had to purchase a new Rachio. Very easy to set up and use. My only complaint, which ius minor, would be an easier user interface on the controller itslef (for 3rd party)

I bought the first generation. It was good, but the third generation is so much better. The third generation has a button to set and execute a specific zone by a button and not just your phone. If the controller needs to be outside there is a waterproof box that has a place to plug in the controller with the power brick.

Hmm owned for a few months, and then it went to a red Statius bar, I soft and hard reset it and nothing, my grass was starting to dry. I bought the outdoor enclosure box as well and it was in there being protected from the elements the entire time. Still looks like new but it failed and called and went through the same process with customer support and it still failed. When it works though this thing is fun, I have cameras outside my house and the neighbors used to let their dogs poop on my yard, which led to other problems. So I would get a notification saying motion detected in my yard and I was away and couldn’t do anything about it. Now when I get the motion in my yard for the dogs, rabbits, squirrels and any other rodent that lives in my neighbors houses, I have so much fun watching them run for their life when I turn my sprinkler system on from 30 miles away. I live in the sunshine state so our grass is always green so we water year round. And this def helps keep my grass green saves me on water bills and gives me loads of fun. But unfortunately a product that fails after a few months and is so pricey shouldn’t. So 3/5 for me. If you buy this get the geek squad replacement protection becuase I am getting mines replaced so I can go back to blasting tsunamis on these uninvited guest in my yard! Oh and if you’re not tech savvy this thing is literally plug and play you don’t need to be a genius to do this, if you can tie your shoes you can def do install this!

Great product. Very user friendly and fairly easy to install.

Good UI. Advanced features are there if you know your lawn. I believe the scheduling agent could benefit from the addition of an offset for sunset like the door for sunrise. But otherwise it’s easy to setup and use. One note to mention is this is a Wi-Fi device so make sure your Wi-Fi is strong at the controller location. Because these tend to be on the edges of the house/garage it may not be something you’re thinking about when planning everything
