A good open-world style adventure game with really fun and intense combat. I love how the combat is so "over-the-top" where the violence reaches outrageous levels (body parts, bloody goo and exploding bodies flying everywhere). The combat is smooth and fluid and the "superhuman" powers are really fun to pull off (my favorites are the slam and vortex attacks). The gameplay world is pretty expansive and unlike the first Rage game, each of the different areas are visually distinct (not everything is just a boring gray/brown terrain location). The campaign is pretty straightforward (go here, do this, rescue this person....etc) and some more variety of missions would have been nice, but overall the game is just really fun. The vehicle combat is also pretty standard (chase convoys, find weak spot, attack until destroyed then "rinse-and-repeat") but at least you can aquire a nice collection of varied vehicles to drive. Overall, despite some repetitiveness, the gameplay is just plain fun.

Insanely smooth and engaging gun play. Only drawback is graphics take a hit and there is a lot of pop in. I still recommend it for anyone who loved Doom.

Was hoping this game would have been like the original. Just trying to mimic the rest of the open world games now days. Searching for the chests is one of the more frustrating things in the game. All I want to do is collect and run n gun, but you literally have to search high and low to clear a point on the map. The storyline is crap and the dialogue is terrible. Trying to be funny like Boarder Lands... not so much. Played it for a few days then returned it.

If your just looking for a good shooter, good graphics then ur good. little bit of upgrading. lacking in story. tad repetive.

It was a fun game but not a gripping story, sort of reminds me of doom mixed with farcry. Fun game but not addicting.

For the price I paid $10, worth the money. Fun game to play on my Xbox series x

The story was a drag and corny but with the gunplay it kept me interested enough to platinum. The world can look GREAT at times and it doesnt take itself too seriously either. I would recommend to someone wanting a mindless shooter with gory, fast, violent gunplay that they can jump in and out of to break up a more monotonous game.(like death stranding)

a great sequel to an underrated fps game. fun open world and a must play for fps fans

This is a nice follow up to the first game, even though it feels pretty different. The graphics are better, the gameplay is much better, and it’s much more open world. The story is only slightly connected to the first game, but on the plus side new players can probably jump right into this with no problem.my only quibble is the main storyline is somewhat short but there’s a huge amount of side content to make it few worthwhile.

Fun and entertaining with lot’s of action and shooting throughout the game

I can almost see some parallels in gameplay to 2016's Doom, in that you can insta-melee-kill when Overdrive is active, though you have to get an upgrade to do that - there's various upgrades to unlock allowing for different playstyles. But the action can seem average and bland depending on the encounter and what you have unlocked vs not unlocked. Maybe watch some videos of it to see if it looks fun to you.

Rage 2 is a fun game combat wise and mechincally. Though the story is a bit lack luster.

If youre a fan of FPS games or DOOM in particualr this game fits the bill. Dont worry if you didnt play the first RAGE last gen. This is an all new story and is much better and more expansive as far as weapons and exploring go. Vehicles and weapons are a blast. try to pick this one up on sale. I nabbed it for $29 which is the ideal proce point IMO.

Rage 2 feels great to play. The shooting and different mechanics you can use in combat are a lot of fun to use, but the game just doesn't let you get creative enough with how you're using them. The open world is large and beautiful, yet feels lacking and empty at the same time. This would probably be helped by more interesting activities to do and side missions to string you along and give you more reasons to explore, but the game is still a good time if you don't go into it expecting too much. It's a pure video game, through and through; sometimes that's enough to be fun. This will be boring to some, fun for others, but overall disappointing in the end for everyone. It just feels like it's lacking some things. Not a bad game, but maybe wait for a discount.

I loved the first one so i had to get the 2nd.it has alot of bugs and glitches.the game keeps deleting my save files.not sure why.other than that its been fun

Wish it had a longer story line. Beat it after about 10 hours of game play. Could stand some tutorials on using some of the PLETHERA of perks and reward items. Level up your guns and knock em down. Some of the weapons were.....stupid! I don’t want to have to shoot a guy then hit the L1 button to ignite the bullet, or “grav” them to another guy.

The game is fun and engaging and has a story line that you can enjoy. The only issue with the game is that it has a few bugs that can hinder advancement of the story. I recommend Googling about game breaking bug and how to avoid them. If you are aware of how to avoid it, then you can enjoy the game without worry.

I haven’t gotten very far in the game but so far it’s a lot of fun. The shooting feels fantastic, but the driving is mediocre to be honest. The actual missions are fast paced and frantic the driving in between feels lethargic and more like filler. I would recommend because the highs are real high and the lows are over pretty quick.

I loved the original Rage I never thought there would be a sequel. This one is definitely a follow up on drugs as it is a lot more charismatic and colorful and overblown, but in the best ways possible. This has been a fun one to dive into.
