Fun little game for everyone. My kids enjoy it some can sometimes be a bit challenging so I get to step in and help.

It's been a long time since I actually played the first Ratchet and Clank, but as far as I'm concerned this is a brand new game. I remember some of the weapons, and the story is familiar, but it may has well have been an entirely new experience for me. Insomniac Games knows how to make a fantastically fun and frantic video game, and they do it well. For the price I can't recommend a better game for all ages.

Not having played the original, I didn't have any particular expectations for this game. It's an entertaining platformer/shooter and feels like a Pixar movie at times. The humor is pretty solid, and there's enough variety in terms of playable characters, play styles, and weaponry to keep you interested. The groovitron and Mr. Zurkon are easily some of the most memorable weapons you will ever wield.

Having played every Ratchet and Clank game ever released, I bought this game with high hopes that Insomniac would perfectly modernize that classic game on the PS2. Well they mostly got it right. At its core, it plays very similarly to the games from the Future trilogy. The game is a little light on content and the story isn't as strong as you'd hope. Most of my problems and nitpicks stem from the fact that I am a long time Ratchet fan so I know what this series is capable of. If this is your first Ratchet game, it's truly an amazing experience especially with the lack of colorful platformers nowadays.
