Customers are saying
Customers are impressed with the Headliner (Gen 1) glasses, particularly the very good picture and video quality. The battery life and overall performance have also exceeded expectations, and users find them user friendly. While the style is appreciated, some find them expensive, and a few have noted occasional lag when connecting.

Spy glasses?
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I give these 5 stars because they do what they say they do, and actually do it pretty well. The video quality kind of surprised me how good it was. I guess I was expecting it to be more in line with the kind of quality you get from cameras on tablets, just ok, but I probably should realize they put pretty much the same size camera in phones these days that take amazing video and pictures. The quality is not going to be as good as a good phone camera or dedicated camera because it doesn't have any of the software the phone cameras do to help get better pictures and video or the lens and sensors that dedicated cameras do. But it's still really good quality, especially for being on a pair of glasses. These can be really helpful if you're live vlogging or even if you need to stream something and can't hold a camera while doing so. They look much more natural than wearing a helmet with a camera rigged to it... Call quality and audio from the speakers is actually pretty decent as well. You have to have reasonable expectations because, after all, these are speakers inside of sunglasses and not earbuds. But the sound is loud enough and clear enough to hear even with other background noise. Just keep in mind that because they sound isn't going directly into your ear canal as with earbuds or headphones, others around will be able to hear whatever you're listening to depending on how loud you have the volume. "Hey Meta"... at least they offered some type of assistant for handsfree control, and it works reasonably well for simple things like making calls, etc., but it's not on par with Google Assistant by any means. It would've been nice if you could use another assistant of your choice, but since it's Meta device, I guess they want to push their products... Maybe with a software update at some point they'll allow that? As far as style goes, I would say these Headliner versions are more for females as they have an almost cat-eye style look to them when you put them on. For men I would suggest the Wayfarer version. For this reason I ended up giving them to my 10 year old son who thinks they're "spy glasses". He thinks they are the coolest thing. I guess sort of have "spy glasses" kind of abilities, but don't worry, whenever you're recording video or you take a picture, there is a white LED that lights up on the front of the glasses so people know you're recording. I guess they wouldn't actually know that, but they would wonder why you have a light on the front of your glasses...

Upgraded And Helpful!
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I love the new AI system in the new Ray-Ban glasses! With it being new, I'm sure they're going to upgrade a little bit of the glitches like when you try and make a phone call, and you clearly say the name and which number to call then it still has to go through everything before it makes the call. But that's just something small because it does get it right it just takes a little time getting there. And I'm sure they're going to improve the AI when it is translating Flyers and other things that are longer than a paragraph or two. I was surprised when I examined the glasses and found that the microphone in the part that rest on your nose, remained in the same place. I was a little disappointed because this is something that irked me with the last set of glasses where I couldn't be heard at all talking to anyone who was on my other line. But I was pleasantly surprised when my mother said that she heard me very clearly and I heard her very clearly. The only thing she thought is I sounded a little bit Hollow, which again I'm sure would be fixed with updates. The picture quality is phenomenal! Also, shooting HD videos in low light highlight or any light are really clear and detailed! I love how you can tell the AI to snap a picture anytime you want, but it also would be nice to have a trigger word for the picture and video when you want to do either. If you could just use one word that you say and the AI will snap a picture or shoot a video but really be nice! I'm shocked that for this price you get everything that these glasses offer!

Great gift for mom
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I got the meta headliner RayBans for my wife, and at first she thought they were silly. However, she found them to be extremely convenient over time. First of all, if you like running outdoors and frequently use sunglasses, then this might tick off two things for you. Namely, sunglasses and headphones. The embedded speakers in the legs of the sunglasses are very good and they maintain your situational awareness. This is perfect for an outdoor runner, which my wife is. The other main selling point is the hands free capability possible while caring for a little one. My wife is able to take calls while still holding our son which she realized was a game changer. She is also able to send messages with her voice or ask meta simple questions when her hands are full. Lastly, our little one is starting to react differently when we take out the phone to take a picture or video. With the Meta RayBans, he doesn’t realize we took a picture and he just continues doing what he is doing. The pictures and videos that the the Meta RayBans take are not going to win any awards, but they are very good at capturing POV video, and pictures that you might just miss if your phone is out of reach which happens frequently with a baby.

Ray Bans on audiolicious!
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. If you love Ray Bans than then I'm the one you should listen too. I've never owned a pair so what a treat for my first pair...built in audio in the glasses is what sold me. And man did they deliver, The sound is incredible the hard beat of the drums wasn't distorted and the sound is come from a place your not use to so it messes with the sense of sound. I probably didn't make any sense there but the sound is coming from a place you're not used to sound coming from. The peps in my house when I had them try MY rays, the first reaction would be a smile on her face and then a wow those are good! You can also take phone calls and really good quality and the person on the other end had no idea I was using my Ray-Bans during the whole call. Now, if I was in a loud industrial area I don't know how well these would perform being open-ear sound and all. Other people around you could hear your phone conversation so I'm not sure on the subway or a Transit bus, I don't think this would be ideal for a phone conversation. I guess it depends on who you talk to. Let's talk about the video and picture taken quality of these Ray-Bans. I took several photos and compare them to my phone photos and I really don't see any difference in quality so I really like this feature because as you move around scanning you can take a picture quickly if needed. On the right ear is where the controls are so you can swipe your finger to control volume and on top of the right eye is a button to push to take a picture and hold it down for video. The video|picture is captured above your left eye and when you're done taking your video you smash that button on your right eye and it stops. Great HD quality really nice looking videos is what it takes, I didn't think to test how long videos can be taken sorry. Over all performances on the tasks these glasses can perform is 4 stars, for that last star to light up for me is longer battery life, I listen to music non stop 4hrs of Spotify is all I could get out of them. If I was to take video and pics and listen to music it reduced even lower so a year of use how much battery drops these days you will just have a pair of ran bans again, using buds again I'm afraid.

Pretty neat smart glasses with a camera
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I have been wanting to get another set of smart sunglasses because my others are now being used more by my wife than me. These I thought are a neat idea with a built in camera that I could use for quick snapshot during activities and not have to pull out my phone or camera. Also does videos. Style wise, these are thick plastic, fairly sturdy build and the bows are thick. That's to accommodate the speakers and mics. They arr not overly different than regular rayban glasses, just tiny dots where the cameras are. The touch controls I on outer right bow towards the front and is fairly responsive. These pause when taken off your face or shut off when bows folded. They charge by usbc in the case, a plus compared to the other brands I have that change by proprietary cords. This I can charge on my phone's cord. App download and setup is easy enough. Paired quick and tutorial helpful. Phone calls are clear and much response is good. The assistant works like every other one I've used, but I just don't use it often. Music wise, the sound is very good, similar to quality headphones. The downside is they are a bit loud for the person next to you. It is noticable even at ⅓ volume. These are the most balanced and clear sounding for music I have. The pictures are clear and really do mimic what i am looking at. The lenses are a good color that block the sun to a good degree but not too dark where yo lu walk inside and can't see and have to rip them off right away. I have no reason to deduct stars. The price is comparable to others. I do recommend these to friend.

Classy , useful, and fun!
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The Ray-Ban Meta sunglasses are so much better than I expected. The quality is top shelf. But what else would you expect from Ray-Ban? The feature set is amazing though, especially for the price. They're kind of like a smart speaker/watch in that they have a built in assistant, easily accessed by saying hey Meta, then asking your question. Then a pleasant voice will respond with an answer to whatever was asked. The results are pretty spot on as well... I'm not sure what database they use for their information, but I haven't yet had any issues with spam results etc.. The sound quality of the speakers is really good also, and the volume level isn't to bad. I wouldn't expect to be able to hear them while mowing the lawn, but for most other situations the volume is plenty. The bass response is weak but acceptable. The touch features work well and are intuitive. The video quality isn't bad, but the recording time is limited to a max of 60 seconds. Also the focal length is fairly wide angle and pulled back, so not exactly cinema quality but it does record a clean and clear picture. Overall I really like my Ray-Ban Meta gasses. The only thing I'd change about mine is to some transitions lenses so I could continue to wear them indoors without looking like "That Guy"

Great for vlogging travelers
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. These sunglasses are awesome. I would have liked them to have more access to post to other social media platforms but seeing is how it's from Meta, it makes sense for it to be exclusive to Facebook and Instagram. The microphone quality is pretty sensitive and great for phone calls. Not so much for video recording. I could hear wind in the background while still hearing my own voice pretty clear. The sunglasses have built-in cameras you can control from the arms of the glasses. The cameras are used for taking pictures, going live, and recording video and the quality does not disappoint. It does not have the fish eye zoom that I was expecting instead it's a pretty smooth transition from my point of view. After media has been saved, it stores to a cloud storage account where you can post to Messenger or your story or feed. I don't know how much you can save or how much is stored before you have to pay for a service for more storage. When you travel, you hardly think to to pull out your phone to take pictures of the moment. These glasses solve that

meta glasses review
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.the battery life is not great and it cannot provide noise cancelation for the audio. However, the style of the glasses is awesome and I also really liked the charging case. I am also confused as to why new tech usually does not provide a charging cable

|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Admittedly, I was a little hesitant about these going in, but after some time spent with them, I can say that I really like them. I really wasn’t expecting that and, honestly, I was a little surprised. From the get-go, it is clear they are a pair of Ray-Bans. They have the styling, build, looks, all of it. They are probably a tad bit heavier, but if so, not by much. Save the camera lens and few minor differences, you really can’t tell. My version has the polarized green tint, but it is my understanding there are different lens options, including plain clean prescription (as well as another style). The build is fantastic and what you would expect from Ray-Ban. Solid, feel good in the hand, great hinge movement, and perhaps most importantly, at least for me, comfortable. They also included a nice, high-quality hard case. Again, what you would expect, but in this…case, it is also the charger for the sunglasses. Due to this, it does have a little more weight than you might expect. Nothing crazy, but something to note. Thankfully, it is USB-C, charges quickly, and provides “up to 36 hours of charge time per fully charged portable case.” I will comment on the battery a little later. All in all, I like the hardware here. Setup is, well, quite easy. Download an app, follow some instructions, update and you are good to go. I was a little hesitant going in, given they are Meta branded, and while I do not really use my Facebook account, I was not sure I wanted to tie that to any hardware. Thankfully, they offer another option. Further, they have a nice set of privacy options that give you a little more control. As for using the glasses themselves, again, it is all pretty simple to pick up and get used to. To be honest, I am kind of floored with all that these can do. I suppose most people will gravitate towards the camera for picture and video use. That is kind of what I thought I would be most drawn to going in as well, and while I am, I really like what they have done with audio, calls, and the assistant. The audio is, well, “good,” and I would say adequate for those that just want some music. I think it is great for someone listening to podcasts and perhaps not looking for an audiophile level experience. Beyond that, though, I found that calls were fantastic, on both ends, and a convenience I had not even thought of. I am also not a huge user of assistants, but they have their place, and I found their version quite good. A nice add. As for pictures and video? I think the video is quite good for what it is but do note that if you are not live streaming (to Meta properties of course), the video is limited to 15, 30, or 60 second clips. As for stills, I did come away somewhat impressed. While your phone will undoubtedly take superior pictures, I would say these are more than fine to share to social media, friends, and stuff like that. Add in that you can be getting some unique content that you may otherwise not even be getting, it seems a worthwhile tradeoff. Again, as a whole, I think they did a nice job here. Ultimately, I do like these glasses. My experience has mostly been very good. Battery-life has been…”good.” If you are doing heavy picture and video stuff and consistently listening to music, it does drain fairly quickly. Otherwise though, they do last fairly long. I am still trying to see the times there. Another quirk is that the camera lens is a little left leaning, so you need to keep that in mind as you snap or record. Just something to note. I have found the controls easy to use as well as responsive, although voice has been slightly touchy. That could be more of a me problem though. All of that said, however, I have found them fun (and easy) to use, the quality rather good, and I think they are a great value. When you factor the price of Ray-Bans separately, and think about all the other adds, I think it works out. I am never one to buy something on future promises, but Meta has said they will be adding some visual features to these in the coming year that will use the cameras to identify things. That seems exciting, but I guess we will have to see. Anyway, I always say check your use case, but if yours fits, these may be worth a look.

Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I like them, great classic frame. Picture and videos were amazing! Props for them for that. These particular lenses though make your phone or any tv have a rainbow halo. My friends with different lenses don’t do that. That’s why I took a star out. It gets a little annoying.

Was ready to give these glasses a five star but...
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I was really excited when I saw these glasses! I have a few friends with similar glasses, and they tell me all the things they can do with them which made me want them more! So when I first received the glasses, I was very eager to get started with them! My first impression of the case, was that it was really cool and I love the fact that you can charge your glasses while they're inside! My next step was to pair them with my Meta app and get started using them. It was pretty easy two pair them with my phone and sign in because of the previous log in information is the same as Facebook. Once I went through all the props and set everything up and was ready to go, the first thing I did was try and call my mother. I called and for some reason while I was using the glasses she mostly couldn't hear me or barely hurt me at all. I tried all kinds of things to see if I can fix the problem. Turn my phone off and turn it back on, I checked the volume on the phone and the glasses, and I even tried wiping the glasses down to see if something was blocking it that I didn't see, and nothing fix the problem. Then I thought maybe you as my mothers phone even though when I put it on speaker she heard be fine, but I wanted to check with others to see if they were having the same issue when I called. I called to other people and they both said they couldn't hear a word I said, so the next thing I wanted to find out was where the microphone was. I searched all around where they normally would put the microphone, and didn't see anything. Finally I figure it out that they put the microphone on the bridge of the nose part of the glasses. For the life of me I cannot understand why anyone would think that would be a great place to put the microphone. I have a larger knows so it literally covers that whole entire area, and it's safe to assume that anyone with a larger nose is going to have the exact same problem. As far as streaming live on Facebook, the meta-help app AI, and taking pictures, everything work great, but for me, the main reason I would use it was to call and talk to friends, family and associates. So for me it's a no go.
