We totally get your point about the lenses not getting dark enough when transitioning to sunglasses. Transition lenses require direct exposure to UV rays in order to darken. The level of darkness they achieve depends on the intensity of the sunlight. However, it's important to note that these lenses generally do not darken inside a car, as most modern windshields are designed to block the majority of UV rays.
