We value you bringing your experience with the new smart glasses to our notice, especially regarding the comparisons to the first generation. Your insights on the volume, audio quality features are incredibly helpful as we continually work to improve our products. To optimize battery life and overall device performance, Meta removed the native livestreaming feature from the Gen 2 smart glasses.
To address the audio and volume issues you are experiencing, we recommend trying these basic troubleshooting steps:
Manually increase volume: Swipe forward along the right temple of the glasses to ensure the volume is set to maximum.
Toggle Adaptive Volume: Open the Meta View app, go to Device Settings > Audio, and turn the Adaptive Volume feature on or off to see if performance improves.
Check for blockages: Ensure the speaker ports on the temples are clean and free of dust or debris.
Power cycle and re-pair: Turn the glasses completely off using the power switch, turn them back on, unpair them from your phone's Bluetooth settings, and re-connect via the app.
If the audio quality or volume does not improve after these steps, we want to look into this further for you. Please contact our Meta Store Support portal to help you further regarding this with best possible resolution.
