Should Have Purchased the Next Generation

The photos and videos are cool, but that’s not the only reason I purchased them. I tried to use the live translation feature and was told I needed to download another app. Honestly, who has time for extra apps? That defeats the purpose for me. Another issue I’ve run into is with video length. Even though I have the 2-minute option selected, the glasses only record for 1 minute. That’s frustrating and not what I expected based on the settings.

Good idea bad execution

Owned for 1 month when reviewed.This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.The Ray-Ban meta glasses have cheap lenses that are not scratch resistant at all. the color changing lenses are not the most reactive. The Meta AI is fairly solid for informaiton on the go and is the only saving grace other than the quick photo snap without having to pull your phone out of your pocket. The meta app is not the best for transferring or editing photos. The fact that it only had 12mp of resolution is a disappointment. The video quality is sub par and can only record for 3 minute clips which is good for influencers because most clips max out at 3 minutes. It is a novelty item at best not much real world application for the price I would expect more than just an over priced pair of raybans. The language translator is not the fastest and it doesn't offer many languaes. It will disconnect from your phone frequently.

Nice for handsfree recording and speakers are great for steaming tunes but really disappointed in the lens color after they transition.
