Transition lenses require direct exposure to UV rays in order to darken. The level of darkness they achieve depends on the intensity of the sunlight. However, it's important to note that these lenses generally do not darken inside a car, as most modern windshields are designed to block the majority of UV rays.

Cleaning smudges - Try rinsing the lenses gently with lukewarm water and a drop of lens cleaner liquid, then dry with a microfiber cloth. Avoid paper towels or tissues, as they can leave streaks or scratches. Specialized lens cleaning sprays may also improve results compared to standard cloths.
