It is very good for console since it is the Xbox version, so it is not very useful on a computer, but it can still be used.

The mic monitoring sounded bad at higher levels, and the audio was just mid. I know A50s are a lot more but I got those after this Razer headset and it’s night and day. Not a bad headset, just not for me.

This Razer BlackShark V2 Pro is a real-deal top-tier wireless gaming headset and I love it. This was designed specifically for high-end, competitive console gaming on PlayStation and Xbox. I use this primarily with my Xbox but I have also connected it and used with PC and Nintendo switch and it works flawlessly with them all. I haven’t tried but can only assume that use with a PlayStation it is just as enjoyable. Design and Comfort: This BlackShark V2 Pro is incredibly comfortable and lightweight when consider its overall size and internal components. The sound is superb with its 50mm drivers but that doesn’t force you to sacrifice weight or comfort. The super squish memory foam ear cushions and padded foam headband offer a securely snug fit but very comfortable and suitable for extended gaming sessions. I like the simple and sleek design, no overdone busy frills to it, and I like that. Audio Quality: This headset features Razer’s TriForce Titanium 50mm drivers for delivering clear, powerful sound across highs, mids, and lows. Audio performance is impressive to say the least. High-fidelity sound with crisp highs and powerful deep bass for all gaming/music/video genres. This headset is specifically aimed at and does a great job of providing excellent spatial audio – this undoubtedly improves my gaming experience, allowing me to pinpoint enemy movements and other critical sound cues in games where spatial audio is key for locating enemy players. Microphone: This BlackShark V2 Pro is equipped with Razer's HyperClear Super Wideband Mic, offering stunning high-definition voice quality for game chat. The name says it all “HyperClear”….. The mic is awesome, captures a wide range of frequencies to promote clear and natural communication with teammates. There’s nothing worse than a fuzzy mic that picks up every little background noise in the room. This mic does a great job of filtering the noise out of the pertinent chat. Battery Life: Phenomenal battery life in a still notably lightweight unit. This is a standout feature of the BlackShark V2 Pro. Claims to offer up to 70 hours of use on a single charge when used with PC, and around 48 hours when paired with a console. Once these lifespans start getting up past the ~6ish hour range I’m good. I would never survive playing this long non-stop and I’ve always been an advocate for plugging my peripherals in when not in use so this is a “nice, but overkill” feature for me. That being said, it must be noted that battery life is superb on this headset. Connectivity and Controls: This headset supports connectivity via the Razer HyperSpeed Wireless (2.4 GHz) dongle and/or Bluetooth, although it cannot use both simultaneously. Connection is quick and simple. If you can plug in a USB dongle or have ever connected a Bluetooth anything then you can do this. Connection was equally as simple on all 3 platforms I tested, piece of cake. This headset also includes built-in EQ presets tailored for specific esports games, designed in collaboration with professional gamers in order to provide optimal sound settings for different games. Only a handful of games so far but hopefully more titles will continue to be added. Conclusion: This Razer BlackShark V2 Pro is awesome. An asset for competitive gamers looking for a comfortable, high-quality wireless headset with excellent audio performance and extra-long battery life. Overall design, quality, and performance make it a strong contender in the gaming headset market

Nice for PC, not so much Xbox One. I simply could not get the dongle to plug into the controller without an extension cord. The issue was that it interfered with one of the buttons on the controller itself. OK, now for what I like about the Razer - BlackShark V2 Pro Wireless Gaming Headset for Xbox. This is comfortable! I wear a headset for work as a customer service rep and comfort is a must when you are wearing one for 40 hours a week. The sound quality is great and noise canceling helps bring things into focus. The mic functions pretty well and the battery holds the charge for at least as long as the advertised 70 hours. A lot of "gaming" devices have those RGB lights that flash non-stop. But this headset does not, and I prefer that. I plan on using these as backups for work and I don't want to be sitting at my desk looking like I am playing games all day! The headset paired easily via bluetooth to my desktop and reconnects without issue when it is power cycled. The USB-C charging port is nice since most of my devices are that standard now. Less wires to worry about.

    Sleek Aesthetics and Superior Performance

Gaming headsets are a dime a dozen with every company seeming to put out their own product. However, you can always count on Razer to put out a superior product to which they have done that exactly with their latest version of the BlackShark V2 Pro. After using this headset for over a week there are a few items that set this headset apart. Design & Comfort: the first thing that stands out with this headset is the sleek matte finish. The headset is primarily made of plastic which results in an extremely light headset that is much appreciated. Pairing this facet with the thick cloth memory foam padding on the ear cups and headband allows for extended gaming sessions. I’ve used a multitude of gaming headsets and I have to say this is right up there with one of the most comfortable. The build quality is exceptional as this thing can take a beating where you can twist and pull it in a variety of ways and it always bounces right back. Sound Quality: aside from the comfort the performance is the other key thing that stands out here. The headset delivers a wide frequency response and immersive sound. The sound profile is well-balanced, making it suitable for various gaming genres. I found the preset sound profiles to work very well, but you can also use custom audio settings if none of the presets are to your liking. Also with having access to the Razer Xbox app you don’t have to mess with any of the settings on your phone as it can all just be done on the Xbox itself. Microphone: the microphone voice clarity may not be the biggest draw to a gaming headset, but the microphone on this headset is the best I have ever used by far! The only drawback here is that I wish there was an option to mute the mic without having to press the mute button, such as pushing the mic up. Extra Features: the various audio profiles are not the only standout feature here that I have to mention. The addition to this version that allows you to change the voice versus game volume is a game changer that brings this in line with other high end gaming headsets. With these features and the superb sound quality it does not hinder the battery life because after a week of use I have still yet to charge the headset as I can definitely see it lasting the full 48 hours as advertised. Overall, this headset from Razer hits on every key element you look for in a gaming headset from the superior build quality and comfort to the sound and microphone quality. The various sound profiles and options coupled with the long lasting battery only further builds on the reasons to put this headset as one of the best to which I would not hesitate recommending this headset to anyone in the market for their next gaming headset!

GOOD - Light & comfortable - Works with PS4/PS5, Xbox, Switch, PC, almost everything - Long battery BAD - Expensive - Obnoxious volume control - Can't use USB wireless and Bluetooth simultaneously - No wired connectivity TLDR These things are fantastic from a versatility standpoint. In addition to Xbox, they'll connect to a PC, PS5, PS4, Switch, even an Android phone. Add in Bluetooth connectivity and this is a single headset you can share between all your devices. However, this versatility is about the only differentiating characteristic of the headset, and Razer demands a hefty premium for it. DETAILS The BlackShark is the most un-Razer product I think I've ever seen from Razer. It has no lighting effects at all, no aggressive styling angles, no real flair. Construction seems sturdy enough, even if quite plain. But it doesn't really have any "premium" or killer features. So why does Razer ask ( as of this writing ) $200 for it? Normally I'm a fan of simple headsets without weird lighting or flared physical designs because that should make them cheaper to manufacture and thus less expensive to buy, but that doesn't seem to be the case here. The headset is light, which adds to its comfort. The earcups and headband use a squishy memory foam with light mesh over layer, which I much prefer to faux-leather as it breathes better. The mic boom is removable rather than a fold-away design so it's not as convenient to just rotate it out of the way when you don't need it. I absolutely hate the giant volume knob extending to the side of the left earcup. I would much prefer a normal rotary dial on the back of one of the earcups. It would be much sleeker and less likely to bump into something. Is this really what e-sports professionals prefer? The USB dongle is type-C and has a wrap-around design. this is nice because it doesn't stick out the side of a laptop, making it easy to snag or catch on things. As the current-gen Xbox doesn't have a type-C port, the BlackShark comes with an A-to-C adapter cable. But at over 24 inches, it's almost comically too long and I find myself fighting to keep it tucked away on my desk or around the TV. A shorter 6-12 inch adapter would be more than long enough. Also in the box is a normal A-to-C cable for charging the headset. It's the same length as the adapter cable, so Razer doesn't plan on you using the headset while charging it. However, it won't work as a wired USB headset; you still have to connect it using the dongle or over Bluetooth. I don't know that the battery really lasts 70 hours, but I can get a week of heavy use from it without needing to charge it. The one standout feature of the BlackShark is device compatibility. Though this is branded as an Xbox headset, it will connect with about anything. Using the USB dongle, it will work with Xbox ( of course ) and PC, but also the PS4, PS5, and Switch ( both through the dock or plugging the dongle into the Switch itself ). I even plugged the dongle into an Android phone and it worked. So if you're a multi-console user and would like to have one headset for all your gaming, this might be your only option ( at least I don't know of any other that can work with PC, Xbox, PS, and Switch this easily ). On top of the USB, the headset also has Bluetooth wireless so you can pair it with a phone, tablet, or PC without using the USB dongle. But while the headset can be connected over both USB wireless and Bluetooth at the same time, it cannot simultaneously play audio from both. You can have it paired to your phone while playing a game on a console, but you can't listen to music from your phone while also having your game audio from the console. The buttons on the back of the headset can control media and phone calls through a series of clicks, double-presses, press-and-hold, etc. In terms of audio quality, this new BlackShark model is no better or worse than many wireless headsets in the $150-ish range. That's to say that the majority of them are just fine for their intended use. Nearly all of them at this point use 50mm drivers and have sturdy enough construction. Any difference in audio quality comes down to the audio processing and EQ presets and is largely personal preference. These are gaming headsets, not studio reference cans. I'd give this 3.5/5 stars if I could. I really don't see enough here to warrant the $200 cost. The cross console compatibility is great, don't get me wrong, but I'm not sure how many people are looking for a headset that can do that. It can't do simultaneous audio over both wireless protocols. It doesn't have active noise cancelling. It doesn't work as a wired headset. It doesn't include a bag or carrying case to store the cables and detached mic. Feature-wise, the BlackShark is about the same as plenty of other $100-$150 headsets, but costs significantly more

The Razer Blackshark V2 Pro Wireless Gaming Headset stands out as a high-quality well-built set of headphones that have some heft to them. They have performed really well in every situation I have used them in. They work with everything also not just consoles. I have also used them with my Windows 11 gaming PC and my phone and the sound is very impressive for a $200 pair of headphones. As a matter of fact the Razer Blackshark V2 Pro headphones are the best-sounding gaming headphones I have ever used. The USB-C transmitter offers a lot of flexibility enabling the receiver to be used with smaller portable devices. However, if that is not flexible enough for your connection choices they also have Bluetooth and they sound fantastic when connected to a smartphone for music listening and video watching. They even sound great when making phone calls. For their main intended purpose of gaming the large drivers offer deep bass for realistic explosions and the secondary background noises came in very clear for me which does not happen on most headsets of any kind I have used. I have a couple of Bluetooth headsets in the $300 dollar range and to my surprise this Razer Blackshark gaming headset comes very close to the performance and sound of those headphones with just a little less clarity. I am very impressed with the bass the 50mm drivers produce but the mids and highs are very good as well and it is all are very loud and clear at the same time. The built-in EQ modes all sound good as well and are easily accessed with a button on the right headphone. The rest of the controls are simple and easy to use as well and the volume knob is nice and serves double duty as a game sound mixer. Another thing that impressed me is that even on my phone the volume knob made the on-screen volume slider appear and move up or down. These headphones are a very well made versatile set of do-it-all-over-the-ear headphones for a fair price of $200. I would definitely recommend them to anyone looking for a set of over-the-ear headphones in this price range. They are very comfortable and can easily be worn for long periods of time and they are plenty big for people with large heads while still being able to fit smaller heads.

The Razer BlackShark V2 Pro Wireless Gaming Headset for Xbox is a high-end wireless gaming headset that offers great sound quality, comfort, and features. Here's my review: Sound Quality The Razer BlackShark V2 Pro delivers exceptional sound quality with its 50 mm TriForce Titanium drivers. The sound stage is wide and immersive, with clear and detailed audio. The bass is powerful without being overbearing, and the mids and highs are well-balanced. The headset also compatibility with Window Sonic, which provides virtual surround sound for a more immersive gaming experience when used with an Xbox or Windows PC. Comfort The Razer BlackShark V2 Pro is very comfortable to wear, even during long gaming sessions. The ear cups are made of memory foam and are covered in a soft, breathable fabric. The headband is also well-padded and adjustable, with just enough clamping force. I have a really large head, so it was nice that the headset was large enough to fit me. Features The Razer BlackShark V2 Pro is packed with features, including a detachable boom microphone, a volume control dial, and a mute button. The headset also has a built-in mixer that allows you to adjust the game and chat audio levels independently. This is absolutely huge as it’s something that you’d otherwise have to dig into the Xbox menu for, taking you away from your game. Battery Life The Razer BlackShark V2 Pro has a battery life of up to 48 hours on a single charge when used with an Xbox and up to 70 hours on PC. I gamed for days without ever needing a charge, and I still haven’t charged it. Overall The Razer BlackShark V2 Pro is a top-of-the-line wireless gaming headset that offers excellent sound quality, comfort, and features. This headset is a great choice for anyone looking for a versatile and easy to wear headset for Xbox and PC.

Razer is well known for their quality products and this headset is no exception to the rule. Just need to plug in the dongle and mic to the headset and off and running. The headset can be configured in the app via pc or right on the xbox. The dongle may look a bit odd shaped but Razer includes a nice usb c to usb a to plug it into the xbox easily. No hot swappable batteries here so you'll need to plug it in to charge over the usb c connection but the good news is you can get well over 70 hrs of game time before you need to charge it up. Comfort is excellent feel like I could wear them all day no problem for a long gaming session. What you really want to know is the sound. Sound is superb I played some call of duty and really felt like I could hear the footsteps like they were right next to me in the same room. Headset is also versatile and can be used in a USB mode on the PC as well but you'll get the most functionality using these on the xbox as they were specially designed for it. Mic is superb and does a good job filtering out background noise, options for side tone if that's your thing as well. The headset is bluetooth compatiable so feel free to pair to your phone or other device if that's what you want as well. Overall it's a solid xbox choice and the price point feels right for what you are getting. Another solid Razer product would recommend.

Razer brought it's newest entry to the table with the BlackShark V2 Pro Wireless headset. Set up was easy upon opening the box but you need to make sure the dongle is set for the type of use you plan by toggling a small switch on the dongle. I am using this headset on Xbox and therefore set the switch for that. The controls on the headset are simple and easy to use. There are 4 sound settings that can be cycled with the click of a button and the presets sound good. The fourth setting is a custom setting that I have not dabbled with this feature yet but it is nice knowing it's an available option for those seeking their own eq. I have had the opportunity to use this headset for listening to music, gaming, chat and video and was satisfied with the sound in each category. I do wish the headset has separate controls for voice and sound. The mic is removable and can also be bent to best accommodate the user. The headset is lightweight and is comfortable to wear. Overall, I am satisfied with the headsets performance, ease of use, and comfortability and I look forward to experimenting with the custom eq setting.

This wide range and large drivers ensure deep bass, clear mids, and crisp highs, delivering a rich and dynamic audio experience.
