An Immersive Experience
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Over the past week, my experience with the Razer BlackShark V2 Pro Wireless Gaming Headset with my Xbox Series X has been nothing short of exceptional. Its impressive performance and comfort have genuinely enhanced my gaming experience. Wireless Connectivity: The headset offers dual wireless connectivity options: Radio Frequency (RF) at 2.4 GHz for low latency and Bluetooth. This ensures a stable and seamless connection during intense gaming sessions. The RF connectivity provides virtually lag-free audio, which is crucial for competitive gaming. Built-In Microphone: The built-in microphone delivers clear and crisp communication, making it easy to coordinate with teammates or chat with friends. It’s an essential feature for multiplayer games and adds to the overall immersive experience. Battery Life: With an outstanding battery life of up to 70 hours, I’ve been able to game for days without needing to recharge. This extended battery life is a significant advantage, eliminating the constant worry of running out of power during a critical moment in a game. Audio Sound Isolation: The sound-isolating feature is remarkable. It effectively blocks out ambient noise, allowing me to immerse myself fully in the game. Whether it’s the subtle sounds of an approaching enemy or the booming explosions, the audio clarity is exceptional. Frequency Response and Driver Size: The headset boasts an impressive frequency response range of 12 hertz to 28 kilohertz and a 50-millimeter driver size. This wide range and large drivers ensure deep bass, clear mids, and crisp highs, delivering a rich and dynamic audio experience. Impedance: With an impedance of 32 ohms, the headset provides powerful sound with minimal distortion, even at higher volumes. The audio quality remains consistent and immersive, enhancing the overall gaming experience. Design: The over-the-ear design ensures a comfortable and secure fit. The ultra-soft memory foam ear cushions add to the comfort, allowing for extended gaming sessions without discomfort. The headset’s black color and sleek design make it visually appealing as well. Gaming Style: Designed specifically for gaming, the BlackShark V2 Pro combines functionality with style. A lot of thought went into making this headset both practical and aesthetically pleasing. Xbox Compatibility: As mentioned, the headset is compatible with Xbox Series X, Xbox Series S, and Xbox One. This versatility makes it an excellent choice for any Xbox gamer looking for a reliable and high-performance headset. Conclusion: The Razer BlackShark V2 Pro Wireless Gaming Headset for Xbox has proven to be an exceptional addition to my gaming setup. Its impressive audio quality, long battery life, comfortable design, and reliable wireless connectivity make it a standout choice. I highly recommend it to any Xbox gamer seeking a top-notch wireless gaming headset.

Comfortable With a Great Sound
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Right out of the box the BlackShark V2 Pro headset for Xbox is ready to go and comes with everything you need. I was able to connect the headphones to my desktop, laptop, and cellphone via Bluetooth and to my Xbox via the included dongle. There is even a Razer app for Xbox available to download in the Microsoft store that will help you get everything setup. The app will check for firmware updates, and it will also let you edit the EQ and mic settings. Currently there are 3 Esports presets for Call of Duty, Apex Legends, and Fortnite to go along with several generic EQ settings for games, movies, etc. Hopefully they will add more presets down the road because I did not see an option in the app to create your own Esports EQ settings for specific games. I found the headphones to be very comfortable to wear over long gaming sessions. I have a large head, so some headphones tend to fit tight, but not these. The ear cups are soft and deep enough to fit over my ears and they fit just tight enough to stay put as I move around. The microphone is easily adjustable to get it into a good location to pick up your voice and it’s also removable so you can just remove it and use the headphones if you want. I like the adjustment knob on the side of the left headphone because it makes it easy to find the volume adjustment. Most headphones just use buttons, and it can be hard finding the right button to adjust the right settings, but the knob makes it easy. You also get feedback on the screen (PC, no feedback on Xbox) to let you know what your volume setting is. Sound quality was excellent using the Sonic spatial headphone setting in Xbox. The headphones are not noise canceling, but they are closed back so they are able to keep a lot of environment noises out. The highs, mids, and lows are well balanced and provide a good soundstage. I was surprised how much more detail I could hear while wearing the headphones than listening to my speakers and the best part was that my wife wasn’t bothered by the sound. Mic quality was also very good, and I like the addition of the wind screen to help with plosives. I got no complaints from my friends about voice quality or not being able to hear me. Overall, I’m very pleased with the headphones and they easily beat out my last set in terms of sound quality and comfort. I’m also very happy that for the price I can use them on all my platforms, not just my Xbox.

Razer Quality Headset
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. To give a little background into the use, they're being used on an XBox One X in a bedroom with a standard desk and gaming chair. They've been tested while playing multiple games for varying amounts of time. Connecting them is effortless on the XBox. Literally plug-in the dongle and you're ready to go. Exactly as you'd expect from a modern headset. Feel: They are very comfortable and fit well without a lot of sliding around, though I'm not a highly expressive player. I can talk and spin from side to side and never had to adjust them midgame. They do get a little heavy after long periods of time and I found myself adjusting how they set on my ears for comfort more than anything else. However, that was only a couple particularly long sessions. Sound: The sound is very clear and has great depth. There was no want for clarity as I could easily hear all the sounds as well as the voices in game. Other players were also clear with a few exceptions, but I think that was more the quality of their mic and not the headset. The volumes are easy to adjust so you can easily do it on the fly and the adjustment dial is intuitive and works in easy to manage levels. I was easily able to adjust the sound for standalone games as well as MMO's by using that single dial. Mic: The mic sits in a comfortable enough place so as not to be in the way. Everyone I played with said it sounded clear, but was a little low. However, some playing around with it and found a happy volume that worked all the way around. No echo, no feedback, no issues. Lag: I did not notice any kind of lag which was great for a wireless headset. In team battles we could strategize in real time and I was never the one asking for a repeat or complaining about missing part of the convo. Material: the headset is a pretty solid piece of equipment. The ear pieces are firm on the outside so I didn't feel like they were going to crack when I put them down on the desk (sometimes a little too aggressively), but they're not heavy. I'm not a big fan of the metal holder/frame piece because it's a little too loose, but I will grant that it will probably prevent a lot of breaking at the flex point. My issue is more an aesthetic one than functional. Recap: Definitely a high quality Razer headset with the sound and mic quality you'd expect. The mic is still a little low so you'll probably have to play around with the settings to get them just right. Very comfortable and form fitting so no need to constantly adjust while you're playing. Not the prettiest headset, but for sure one of the most proficient. I'll take sound quality over pretty any day. Definitely worth the purchase and I have no regrets.

Darn near perfect headset for any gamer.
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The Razer Blackshark Pro V2 are almost the exact perfect gaming headset. I’ll break it down in categories. Giving the good and the bad for each. Connectivity: these offer both Bluetooth and 2.4 connectivity. (This will vary depending on your device your connecting to but even though it’s designed for Xbox, it’s compatible with PC, Mac, PS5 and Nintendo Switch all personally tested) which is a relief considering now I only need one headset to do it all! It still will need a dongle however which is acceptable for the 2.4 connection. Functionality: This headset has a bunch of buttons and a knob which can make it seem confusing at times especially if you’re trying to change settings on the fly. While on Xbox (which while I tested these on prior listed systems I primarily stayed on Xbox series X) there IS an app that allows for tweaking of the EQ and profiles along with Mic monitoring (one of my personal favorite and almost mandatory settings for any headset I buy!) there is no way to adjust those things physically however outside of some presets baked into the headset for a few stock games. (Namely Call of Duty, Apex Legends, and Fortnite) you can adjust the game chat volume but the button pressing to do so before the knob adjusting doesn’t feel natural and is a bit of a hassle instead of having a dedicated knob for game chat volume. Comfort level: these headphones are not the heaviest I’ve ever worn but they certainly don’t feel like they’re so light they’re cheap. I’m not sure if they will be very comfortable in longer gaming sessions but the ear pads and headband padding and soft, the ear pads don’t seem to effect my glasses and headband is soft enough to not cause me any head pain in the time I’ve used them. Sound quality: The sound quality of these is superb. I think that’s thanks to not only the pro drivers but the padding I mentioned above. Tweaking the EQ also helps to give that competitive edge. Mic-wise the people that I was in party with did notice that I sounded crisper and closer than I did previously and it made me more confident knowing I didn’t have to worry about “swallowing my mic” or being the “heavy breathing” guy in the party. Overall I think that these are definitely esports level gaming headphones. I would absolutely be recommending them to people with the caveat that there is a bit of a learning curve with the buttons for the knob control and in game monitoring vs game chat volume control. That’s the only thing stopping me from giving this Five stars. If you can handle that then consider it a five star review. Otherwise, it’s like four and 3/4!

High end quality without the price
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The Razer – BlackShark V2 Pro Wireless Gaming Headset for Xbox – Black gives my ears an experience similar to hearing a movie in an IMAX theater. I can differentiate amongst all the different sounds clearly. The Triforce titanium 50MM drivers deliver a full range of frequencies. Viewing my screen with the Razer – BlackShark V2 Pro Wireless Gaming Headset for Xbox – Black gives an experience of actually becoming absorbed into the game or video that I am watching. The quality of the gaming headset gives the correct specifications to add to the mastery of the game I am playing. The ear pads are extremely soft and cushiony. My ears fit inside the ear pads with no tightness or discomfort. They can be adjusted to fit tight or loose, depending on your preference. Outside noise is isolated by the ear cups. The Razer – BlackShark V2 Pro Wireless Gaming Headset for Xbox – Black also has a detachable hyperclear super wideband microphone that delivers direct clear and crisp vocals. Audio not in front of the microphone is diminished. The Razer – BlackShark V2 Pro Wireless Gaming Headset for Xbox – Black is worth the minimal amount of money it cost. I am surprised they are not priced for $400 or more, because they function comparable to the higher end Headsets.

Bad mic monitoring.
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Sound is crisp once you tweak it with the app. Mic clarity is great. Mic monitoring is very bad tho I have to have the mic angled right and just next to my mouth to be able to be heard, even after adjusting in settings on app.
