Customers are saying

Customers recognize the Kishi controller's ease of use and generally positive build quality, frequently praising its convenient USB-C port and compact design. However, some users experienced compatibility issues with certain games and phones, noting that the fit wasn't ideal for all devices. While many found the controller responsive, some criticisms focused on the feel of the triggers and D-pad.

This is, hands down, the most responsive controller for mobile gaming I've tried. It works flawlessly with Xbox cloud gaming and feels similar to a Razer or Xbox console controller, ensuring comfort while you game any and everywhere.

If you play video games on your phone and don't like touch screen controls then this is the best accessory for your phone to play games with physical buttons then this is a must buy for you.

The concept of this thing is great, but I was really disappointed with the button feel - which aren't consistent, mushy, and just don't feel great. It's also kind of awkward to open/put your phone in. And I wish it had an audio-out jack. It's also kind of bulky - in fact, Razer just rebranded and slightly tweaked another company's product. If it's your only option it's quite cool but I prefer the GameSir.

Bought this for my son for Xmas. He hasn't put it down yet. This transforms the phone into a full gaming system. It's like taking a playstation on the go. Reminds me of the old school PsP or Gamegear.

Not Bluetooth so I returned it, so I ordered him one on Amazon, it plays good on certain games and you need an Xbox controller on to play games like COD.

I received the Razer Kishi at no cost for an honest review. To test, I used a Samsung Galaxy S9+. The controller expands by squeezing two latches on the back that enable the extension of the controller, allowing it to open up so you can place it around your phone (in landscape mode). I had to remove my very thin phone case, so if you wan to use it, you will have to remove your case too. That is somewhat inconvenient, but it does make the controller more portable by keeping it small. I downloaded the Razer Kishi app, and it serves as a loader, showing you which games are compatible, although you can use games that were not intended for controllers too. To test the controller, I played Minecraft. With the controller on my phone, it has a Nintendo Switch type of feel. The controller is fairly ergonomic, and the buttons are mostly clicky, except the two trigger buttons. There is no deadband that I noticed on the joysticks. When attached to the phone, the controller is slightly loose because it relies on tension on the rear side of your phone for stability. This means that you probably don't want to be too rough with your gaming, though I'm sort of speculating based on what I felt when handling it. I'm more afraid of flexing it too much and damaging my charging port (to which the controller attaches). Because it is directly attached, there is zero lag input. While I did not personally test the functionality of this controller on emulators/roms, some research I did suggests it works on those too. Although my phone is not new, I did notice the battery drained slightly faster with the controller attached. One cool feature is that the controller has a usb-c port under it, so even when attached, you can charge your phone. Overall, I think it is a neat product with a lot of potential.

It's ok. The buttons are a bit getting used to. The buttons feel light and inexpensive. But they are very responsive.

I have been using this a lot. Works great with Xbox Xcloud, GeForce Now, and Mobile games. I did have to order rubber inserts to fit my unit but Razer sent them to me for free. very responsive controller.

Great compact item. Not as much support on Android as iOS for apps (genshin impact, cod mobile..etc) but it's definitely not a bad option for emulation.
